I'm plateau'd super hard!! I am going to try to be more strict on what I am eating again and see if that helps! I am hoping a woosh happens soon, hahah!

kahaney 02-16-2018 03:47 PM

No idea if anyone reads this thread anymore, but I'm proud so I'll still announce it: I'm officially out of the 60's! Happened this morning after a long, painful plateau!

Congratulation Kahaney for reaching the next decade.

I'm New!

Hi everyone,
I took the bull by the horns yesterday morning and weighed myself.165.6lbs!!! While I wasn't shocked at that,I was horrified that I've allowed myself to gain the best part of 3 stone.
Diet and exercise began yesterday.

So I'm 165.6lbs.
Looking forward to seeing the 150's.Hoping to see them in or around 3 weeks,if I go with 2lb a week loss. I'll weigh myself again next Monday morning.
Hoping this forum will help keep me motivated.

potato Hi!! I just squeaked in at 169.6. Good for you for getting on track with a diet and exercise regimen! I hope that you are able to escape the 160's very soon!! It has been taking me a couple months to get out of each decade, but I am trying to be more diligent so hopefully that will help speed things along!

Hi kfunk6113
Well done on your achievements so far! It all takes so much discipline and self-control doesn't it? I do fine during the day when i'm at work. But see when i'm finished work and heading home and thinking about dinner? That's when my battle starts. Will I,won't I??? I'm telling you the last 3 days have been a struggle in the evening times.
I can't wait to see my 150's but will be much happier etc once i get over the halfway hurdle.Right now it seems like a mountain.
Right,must stay positive and motivated!!!!

kfunk6113 02-22-2018 03:05 PM

potato Thank you! It really does!! I also do really well at work, but the weekends are the hardest for me!! Luckily I go to bed very early (love my sleep!) so the evenings during the week aren't too bad. We can do this!! All the good choices add up!

Fell off the wagon

I was on here doing Couch to 5k about 18 months ago and managed to get down to the 140s. Since then, life has gotten in the way and now I've gained more than I lost. Weighed 164.6 lbs. this morning and I'm trying to start an exercise regimen. I couldn't keep up with the exercises today, but it's just the start. Crawling back to the wagon is hard!

I want to lose weight, feel stronger, and not feel so self-conscious about my tummy. I'm going to try to only weigh weekly so as to not get the daily ups and downs.

kfunk6113 03-01-2018 07:58 AM

indy Welcome!! That is awesome that you have had past success with the Couch to 5K program! How did you feel about your tummy when you were in the 140's?

I hope your weigh in later this week goes well!!

169.6 - I have been bouncing all over the place after my low 167.4 last week. I will keep sticking to my plan until it normalizes!

Indy 03-02-2018 11:30 AM

Thanks, kfunk. It was kind of awesome at the time because my lower-sized jeans fit. Plus, I didn't have to worry about wearing a loose-fit shirt for fear of side rolls or muffin top.

kfunk6113 03-03-2018 10:40 AM

indy that does sound awesome!! My waist is fine but my trouble is the lower part under my belly button!
