I have felt that way before. Just this past December I felt so low and helpless regarding my weight that I actually got rid of my size 10 and below stuff because I figured it was a fantasy to keep it around. It's not a fantasy. You've managed a lot so far. You can do more, if you want. It just might take a while.
Oh, and yeah - those ads they randomly insert to this post or that are kind of annoying. At least those ads keep this forum running, I guess.

Awkardly Changing the Subject
This month has been great in my weight loss. I got started on the 1st and have seen solid returns on my hard work... Oh, except for the part where my husband and I took a weekend "off" and had probably 7,000+ calories on one crazy Saturday. I experienced quite a bump in my weight and FLIPPED OUT. Okay, I tried to stay calm, but the Monday after that weekend I weighed myself three or four times.
Anyway, it looks like I'm back on track-ish. Hopefully I can get down took the 180s by mid-March or so.
