Hi Ladies, it sounds like everyone has had a great week-end. I did get my walking in everyday (3x today - once by myself and then 2x with 2 different friends)! My ds's and I went to the lake for a couple of days so that was fun.
Pam, great pictures of you! I love being able to put a face with the name. And great job on getting your walking in!

Thinlizzie good job on getting the walking in. It's fun going with a friend, isn't it? The time goes so fast and all of a sudden the walk is done and I'm not done talking!!
Beth, I hope you got the work done on your house that you wanted to. Don't worry about the couple of days of not so great eating and no exercising - you can just start again tomorrow!

Hope you all had a good holiday weekend. I sure did!! got my walk in about 1 hr ago, better late than never!! I dont like waiting that late in the day, because I am already pooped from the day's activities....but I have to get in my 6 days a wk...I only did one mile of the 2 mile walk away the pounds video, and then did the cool down afterwards. So, I feel like I did something good for myself......it is still amazing to me, how I just make certain to incorporate all this good stuff into my life now, I am sooooo gratefu.

Hi All, Haven't checked in for a couple of days. We had our annual picnic and everyone had a great time. DS still holds the championship on horseshoes, and is very annoying about it. I swear if his ego gets any bigger we'll all have to take him down a peg(LOL). Kept up on my water today, and did a 3 mile walk. I think my tummy is finally starting to shrink. Congratulations on your weight loss LKB Angel. GO GIRL!!! Hi to everyone else (keep up the good work). Well its still raining here, but no complaints, we needed it. It did let up enough yesterday for me to get my walk in. Went a little further yesterday than my 1.5, but not exactly sure how far it was. I had to push myself to get started, I really didn't want to go but did anyway and once I got started I started listing all the reasons I wanted to lose weight and that got me back into the right frame of mind. The walk was great!! There were new flowers blooming everywhere and butterflies all over the place, so it was nice to be able to see all of it.
Still doing well on drinking my water, so alls well on the weight loss front.

Welcome back to the work week girls! I've been MIA for a few days cause I wasn't feeling too great. I've been good have managed to stay on plan. I missed my workout yesterday though cause of the holiday ( I know that's now excuse ). Anyway I'm down a couple of pounds cause I wasn't able to eat too much so I'm feeling rather "thin"
Looks like you've all been doing well. Glad to hear that. Here are my goals for this week.
1. Make appointment with OB/GYN
2. Stay within alotted calories daily
3. Workout 5 times before Sunday
4. Try not to obsess about the scale too much
Had to skip my walk yesterday so I could watch my niece and nephew, didn't want to leave my honey alone with 5 kids under 7 years of age . So once I got them all to sleep I did some weight training instead. So I still got some exercise!
Hoping to get to ride my bike today, although when I checked on it the other day I noticed I had a flat tire, probably because its been sitting up for so long , and it is still raining here.

Wanted to let you know that Dr Phil is doing a 2 hr weight loss show on 9/12, on NBC (with Katie Couric), not sure if it is prime time or am, but I would think Prime time. You may have already heard, but just wanted to let you all know.
No time to post right now, have to have breakfast and have errands to run before going into work this afternoon, so I will catch you all later oh....we should be starting a new thread, I dont know how though!!!
I'd like to join! I'm new here and am def. interested in motivation and losing weight. I hope I can remember to post on Sundays... my weeks are kind of hectic and by the time Sunday rolls around.. my brain is shot. lol.
Anyway heres a bit about me, I'm 20 years old, 5'9" and 209lbs. Im not happy about any of this. Im not any prescribed diet (ie-Atkins etc) but I have cut down my food intake. I've dieted on and off but late July i started again and I am still sticking to it. Infact my bf and I are both on diets and it helps that he's dieting too. I've been eating less fatty foods and low calorie foods. I eat 1-2 times a day and dont over do it. I've sworn off soda, candybars etc. even french fries (ill have a FEW if my bf is having them..) and ESPECIALLY fast food.. a big no no. Now I have slipped up 1-2 times because I was out somewhere at a family BBQ.. but ive been going right back on the diet.
My goal is to be 135-140 give or take a few lbs. I just want to be happy and healthy and not so afraid of my body. Im so tired of not fitting into clothes or feeling good about myself. I know I have along way to go.. 70lbs at least.. but I think I can do it.. I want to do it more then anything.
Ive also been working out almost daily, usually for an hour. I'll either ride the workout bike or the walker (that exercises both arms and legs) and either life some light weights or ill do 30mins of Tae Bo with my video
But thats all about me really.... and I just want to say that I love this site!
