Ok, I waited to weight myself in (as I explained earlier, I had a midnight snack and I know that affected my weight this morning so I was going to wait a bit longer for an official weight in), and I was 169.6.

:broc:

I'll see you all in the 160s!

jennybutler357 06-09-2014 11:24 AM

Well done all of you leaving this thread!! Not that you'll probably read this as you're all too busy having fun in the 160s... :( - congrats to all of you!!

Don't worry Olivia, I'm still here and I think you'll be outta here before me - lost a measly 0.2 pounds this week...I really thought it would be more as I've been so OP all week and really working hard. Maybe I am building muscle though which is good for my fat levels. I've started a challenge on another forum to lose 12 pounds before Labor Day and then my goal will be 15 pounds left, which is incredible for me to think that after where I started!

Paulitens 06-09-2014 12:05 PM

Don't worry, Jenny... I always stick around a few days to say my good byes, and by the time I'm done saying my good byes you're all ready to move too. ;) We're all in this together no matter what our current weight is.

GordonGirl16 06-09-2014 03:59 PM

Back down to 169.4 today! If i stay in the 160s for a few more days I'll be leaving for that thread. Hopefully I'll be there by next week!

BettyBooty 06-16-2014 11:17 AM

Well, I'm back up to 176.6.

My husband had a complete nervous breakdown, tried to kill himself, and was in a mental health hospital for almost a week, and I ate terribly. I was trying to fill my fear and sadness up with food. I had to stay home from work to care for the kids, and aside form sleeping and eating, I don't think I did all that much.

The good news is that he is doing better and is home now, and he is on a major health kick. I did manage to run again on Saturday morning and took the dogs for a long walk on Sunday, and we have the weight bench all set up to use now, so hopefully it won't be too hard to get back on track.

BettyBooty 06-17-2014 08:12 AM

Back down to 174.2 today. Stuck to more fruit and veggies yesterday, and took the dogs out in the evening. New goal is to get back to 171 by the end of June.

jennybutler357 06-17-2014 11:31 AM

BettyBooty, I'm so sorry to hear about your husband, I hope you have lots of good supportive friends and family around you, glad to hear everyone is doing better. I'm thinking of you.

I was going to complain about my pretty stressy end to the week with sick kiddies - it's NEVER just one of them but now it seems not so important. Everyone is doing great now but I definitely lost track of things like my exercise regime and eating healthy was as easy as I could do with salads and more salads. At least I had no time to think about treats so that helped! I was rewarded yesterday with a 1.2 loss! This is great for me to get off to a good start as the last challenge I did was a miserable failure due to some serious plateauing and only managing about 6lbs in 10 weeks.

Well done Paulitens!!

BettyBooty 06-18-2014 08:18 AM

Heck, complain about the stress and the kiddies, jennybutler, becuase not complaining (or at least, not discussing with me or others to vent and arrange breaks from the kids) is what largely drove my husband to do what he did. My FIL said he saw it coming, at least the breakdown but not the suicide attempt, and actually it is making us more conscious of how we treat each other and how we react to the kids and overall it will make us stronger and better parents. I see a silver lining, even if it was a horrible thing to experience. And, yes, we are in couples' therapy to help us get better together.

And it did make DH realize how important his health is. And my health, too. He is much more on board with getting in shape now, which is another good thing.

I walked about 3 miles in the 90+ degree heat yesterday but didn't run with the dogs because I simply HAD to go to Target with my 3 year old and spend an hour in the toy aisle. But my calories were only about 50 over my daily goal on MFP, so I am not regretting it one bit.

jennybutler357 06-25-2014 12:34 PM

This thread has gone a bit quiet! Has everyone gone down to the 160s?!

Well, I'm still ploughing away...down 1.8lbs this week, so now *only* 24lbs left to lose! I am also just 1lb away from having lost 90lbs in total - how did this HAPPEN?

Glad to hear you're getting through this tough time BettyBooty, and that's good you can see a silver lining, I hope everything works out for you guys, thinking of you both!

MayoLover 06-25-2014 02:44 PM

JennyB -- Oh YAY! I was looking for a 170s thread earlier in the day and was sad I was the only one in the 170s! Since we are close to the same weight (I'm 175.4 as of this morning) maybe we can hang here until we graduate around the same time to the 160s!

And almost 90 pounds lost, that's AWESOME! CONGRATS!

kidlets 06-25-2014 03:54 PM

Hi All! I was looking for a more active daily thread and found this one so I thought I'd jump in.

I've been having a problem staying OP for more than a day or two. I'm hoping I can get it together before it gets too far out of control.

Mayo 2 newbies! Yay!!

Jenny Wow! 90 lbs! You rock!!

Betty Oh my goodness, I am SO sorry. What a hectic and stressful week you had. I have a bit of experience in that recently but unfortunately we lost my dad 6 months ago. I'm such a fair weather excerciser so kudos for you for being out in that heat!!

summertime03 06-25-2014 09:04 PM

I would love to get out of the 170s! Currently 175. This is the lowest I have weighed in a long time...

MayoLover 06-26-2014 09:41 AM

Oh good, the gangs all here! :)

Today I am 174.8, but since I changed my mind about eating low-carb and am going to do more of a whole foods no junk kind of thing (not exactly like that, but aiming in that direction), I could shoot right back up on the scale tomorrow as I will hold more water again.

But whatever, this is only my 3rd day on plan, so I've got my whole life ahead of me to watch the scale.

Whoops. I just depressed myself. ;)

Kidlets - that's often my problem also, 3 days on then 6 days off, 2 days on then 1 day off, 4 days on then a whole year off. ;-) I really want to stick with it long-term now, so I'm trying to ease into all the changes so it isn't so shocking and jarring and won't feel so undoable!

Also, I'm sorry for your recent loss of your dad.

Summertime - I bet it feels great to be the lowest in a long time! GOOD FOR YOU!

jennybutler357 06-26-2014 10:13 AM

Hey everyone!! Great to see so many people here with me!! Yes, MayoLover let's stick together until we get to the 160s!! I'm not a fan of low carb, I will defend potatoes forever!! Hope your new plan works for you!!

Sorry to hear about your dad kidlets. What is your plan? I would say, if it's tough to stay on plan, then change the plan, that's what I've done anyways and it works for me.

Well done summertime - same here!!

MayoLover 06-26-2014 11:27 AM

Jenny: I do like potatoes -- of all kinds -- also, fortunately I don't overeat them. Unless, of course, they are cut into chips and deep fat fried... but that's a whole other issue. ;)
