Novus, I'm new to this thread so I'll wait here with you!
I am closer than I've been in years. I've been in the 170s for months now. Last week I had a nice drop on the scale, so hopefully that's a sign that I'm almost to the 160s! Fingers crossed for everybody this week to have a great weigh-in. |

I made it to 169 last September and then totally got derailed. (Plateau. Hand surgery. Worst winter since the beginning of time.) I'm anxious to get back to the 160s....and then onward to goal! Good luck and thanks for the company. :) |
I guess joining this thread was just the kick I needed. 169.8 this morning! I am still in shock, almost in tears. It's been years since I've seen this decade.

I tipped in at 172 last week - the highest I've been since I was pregnant in 2005. I've been trying to make a change for a few weeks now, but we just moved and it's been difficult while in transit. But, everything's back to normal now and Mother's Day is over, so I've taken back control. Hopefully, it's just a matter of time now before I'm out of the 170's again.

Hey, I'm back. Actually I never left because I kind of thought last week's 2.6 pound loss might be too good to be true. Sure enough, I gained a little this week (0.6) so I'm back in the 170s (170.4 to be exact). I don't think I'll truly feel out of this decade until I'm at 168 or lower for 2 straight weeks, so that's my goal right now.
How is everyone else doing? I am a little disappointed at the gain but I did skip one of my 3-mile walks this week, and I was a complete couch potato the last few days. I plan on making sure I get in all my walks this week and add an extra run on Wednesday in addition to my normal Sunday run. It's such a fine line, for me, between too much exercise and not enough. I never can figure out where my calories should be. But as they say, onward and upward... er, downward. :-) |
Welcome back forkeeps2013...though you'll only be here for a day or two. :D
About exercise, I just keep my calories within the same range whether it's an exercise day or not. It's just easier than trying to figure out the deficit. Also :wave: to DodgeThis! |
Last time I posted here was in January and I was 177. I now weigh 174 after many ups and downs. Enough with the 170s already. I want out!

Grrr . . . I was hoping to be out of the 170s by now, and was down to 169.8 just before my vacation, but jumped back up to 174 by the time I got back. back down to 171 AGAIN.
I am setting a 165 goal before the end of June. 160 by the end of August. I think I can I think I can I think I can! |
Hi everyone! I'm technically not in the 170s YET, but I will be in 2lb, give or take, and I can't find the right 180s thread...hope you don't mind! I just wanted to share a bit because I'm so excited but sadly have no one to tell.
First, I've lost 8.2lb this month, and even if it's mostly water weight I'm happy about that. My face looks less fat and puffy, which I'm so excited about!! I even think I look a bit slimmer, but really with 70lb in total to lose, I doubt anyone else can. That's okay though. 2nd! I used to be a pop fiend. I cut cold turkey 3 1/2 years ago and did great up until the beginning of last year where I fell off the wagon. I wasnt bad at first, only had one or two a month, but toward the end of the year I was drinking 3-5 every week. I'm back off it! Yay. There's even pop in my fridge and I haven't touched it and don't crave it. I also haven't had any fast food, and I'm doing good with my portion sizes. I got a baby ruth candy bar today, a regular small size one, and didn't go back for more and I felt satisfied with that. My bra also is a little less loose! so yay for that, too Just wanted to share :) |
shirtshot - that is great! Those are AWESOME accomplishments! I'm sure you will be officially in this thread soon with those changes ;)
I'm also not officially in here yet but I have a feeling I will be seeing the 170's tomorrow. Hope to be posting here soon! :D |
