Are you calling me fat?

Basically, I have around 20 lbs total to lose. Well, if I lose 10 lbs (or more) in a month, at my size, that's pretty much guaranteed to be muscle & water, rather than fat. I DO NOT want to lose LBM (lean body mass). I want this to be a pure fat loss, which is impossible at the rate required to lose 10 lbs in a month. This approach only works for people who are significantly overweight.

I'm afraid I got a little carried away and started to slip into old habits. This isn't how I want it to be. Quick & easy doesn't work for the last 20 lbs. I've decided to eat maintenance calories (1500) for my goal weight (115), maintain some regular, enjoyable activity, and just ride this thing out.

I need a new lifestyle, not a contest.

Cheers. :)

Understandable. You gotta do what's best for you. BUT, you don't have to aim for 10 pounds, I'm sure not! It's basically just tradition to call the thread "lose 10 pounds by ...".

I agree with LockitUp, you can still weigh in and be motivated or motivational by being a part of the threads, but I wish you the best of luck whatever you choose!

Hmm, I kinda feel like you are implying that by participating in this, we are not doing lifestyle changes but I understand you may be only talking about you, not any of us so I apologize in advance. Like Lockitup said, you don't REALLY have to lose 10lbs. I don't consider this a contest at all, I consider this whole thread 100% motivation to keep going even if I gain. Not many people who are under 200 or close to their healthy weight ranges actually make the 10lb goals if you look back at the old threads. I personally picked 6.6 to lose. :)

I 100% understand. I wish you the best of luck with getting to goal and enjoying it the whole time!! Congrats on your progress so far, btw. ":)

My weight has been going down and then coming back up again for over a week now. I'm trying not to be concerned about it because I've stayed under my calorie goal, TOM came on Wednesday, and I've started more intense workouts. I've definitely noticed that I look and feel stronger. My loose skin has tightened up some, so maybe this holding pattern is a good thing for now.

OK so here's my weekend plan.
1.... No junk food at all
2.... Get my butt on my bike and start moving
3... .Drink all my water .. (I don't do this usually on weekends)
4... Do some yard work
5... Weigh myself only on Sunday morning.

They say you should be accountable for what you do. So I'm telling everyone. But I need someone to ask me if I stuck to plan on Monday.

It's going to be a beautiful weekend here so let's all get moving a little more. Get in some of that fresh air.

I always mess up on weekends because alcohol and food get involved we usually still stay active but the added calories really hit me... I got a weighted jump roap though and did that for a little while today and it kicked my butt it's a good alternative to other cardio so I jump roped I the sun while the baby took a nap :) still 192.5

You're gonna rock it! I love the weekends because I can eat less and move more!

Bring it on!

I started April with 224.4 pounds, and as of today I have only lost 0.7 pounds. That's pretty much nothing.

I stayed well on the plan, and I took up excercising. I sweat my butt off everyday with 30 days shred. Before I started excercising, I was losing steadily 2-4 pounds a week. Yes, it's annoying me that I didn't lose more, because I was really good.

Does it mean I'm going to give up? NO WAY! I'm not going to drop excercising because it slows down my weight loss (well it slows it down for now). Because what I want to achieve is being healthier. So...I'm from now making this my accountaiblity thread, with reporting my weight being just complimentary. I want to be here on May 1 and say I've done well! I ate healthy, I loved my life (and yes, it means a piece of a high quality chocolate every afternoon) and I excercised. And if I lose 10, 8 or 5 pounds, that does not matter. Because if I keep it up, I will get to my goal weight. I know I will. Physics is on my side. I just need to carry on, day by day.

Yes, I'm writing this just to remind myself who I am, and where I am going. I'm going to the land of normal BMI, and I shall get there, slower or faster!!!
