Ok, I'm freaking out a little here because this morning I was at 174! While I'm thrilled to be at 30 pounds lost and out of the obese BMI range, I never lose weight this quickly. I'm afraid this is temporary and some of it is bound to come back. Oh well, I'm not going to fret. Even if my weight goes up a little, it will come back off!

Woo! Hoo! Jennifer! :carrot: So exciting!!!

I always consider myself to be me lowest recent weight even if I bounce up a bit -- as long as I haven't gone off plan. I almost always do bounce up a little bit after a loss. Sometimes I'll lose for two or three days running, but then bounce up a bit, or sometimes it's after the first day. But I think we are really that lower weight, the bounce up is NOT a gain in fat, kwim?

I'm down, too! :D 175.8! I'm so excited. :D I am really looking forward to getting under my old low of 173.

And Rubidoux, that is a great mindset about weight. I need to stop freaking out when mine goes up a pound! I am at 174, and if it doesn't stay there, it will get back there soon.

I skated a bunch this weekend, man it feels good to eat after a good workout. but I decided not to do my c25k today and I'm going out for to celebrate a friends masters defence tonight so hopefully I don't undo it all.. but some things you just gotta celebrate. :) we will see Wednesday morning.

I was back at 175 this morning, which wasn't a surprise because I knew 4 pounds last week was too good to be true! I'll take 3 since I had been averaging 1.5 ish per week. I am ready to see the scale consistently below 175 though.

Finally saw some movement, after 8 days of weighing in at 178.2, it was getting very very frustrating! Didn't move as much as I wanted but I'm at 177.1. I really can't wait to see 175.

Managed to make it through the celebrations last night with barely going over my daily points :) Whatever the scale says tomorrow, its such a good feeling to not need to feel guilt or deprived about everything I do or don't eat.

I was back at 174.2 today, so I am taking it! That means 3 things: I have lost 30 pounds since Jan. 7, I am no longer obese on the BMI charts, and I am halfway to my initial goal of 145!! I am so excited--now i want to get to the 160s!!

Woohoo Jennifer! I still have 12 lbs to go before I'm no longer obese! I hate being short!

I was 175 lbs yesterday, so I gained 0.6 :( I'm expecting my period this week so I know it doesn't help, but still. I didn't do so great eating wise last week so I can't blame it all on that TOM.

I feel your pain! I'm five foot even and will be considered obese down to 150. And my goal weight of 130 is solidly in the overweight category.

I feel like I need a whoosh to happen soon. I've been really bloated these last few days and I'm not sure why. I've been 176 for sometime now too, which is making me wonder if it's a plateau? but I'm not sure what classifies something as a plateau? like 2 weeks? 2 months??

I want to be in the 174 dang it!

Congrats Jennifer- you've hit a bunch of major goals, that is awesome!!

hhm6- I completely understand how you feel. From March 25 until Monday (4 weeks) I lost a total of 1.5 pounds, including 8 straight days of weighing in at 178.2. It was superbly frustrating. However, I knew I had just started exercising and my body was just taking a ton of time to adjust. I think a proper plateau lasts much longer, like 2 months, I couldn't even imagine going through that and I really hope I don't have to. Stick with it and eventually you'll start losing again. Are you measuring yourself? I measure myself every 4 weeks, so even during that time I wasn't losing weight, I knew my body was doing something as my measurements went down.

And more good news for me, I'm down to 176.2, so close to hitting 175 and even closer to my own personal goal of getting out of the 80s in kg, I was 80.1kg today. Can't wait to see a 7 at the beginning.

Jennifer...what sort of program are you on? what exercise/how often?

I'm not on any official program. I'm just making better choices and watching what I eat. I have really cut back on carbs, refined sugars, and processed food. A typical day's food is a boiled egg and banana for breakfast, flat bread or wasa with turkey and cheese, steamed veggies, and a sugar free jello for lunch, and grilled meat and veggies for dinner. I still will have dessert occasionally and alcohol a couple times a week. For exercise I walk about 4 miles 5 times a week. So far this has been working for me. I wonder what I will need to do as I get closer to goal and weight loss slows down.

lol still up today as well, but I did the 30 Day Shred at 9 at night, and am still loving my salty hummus! ahahaha I always enjoy sodium Monday through Wednesday, as I don't weigh in till Sunday. lol maybe I need to reevaulate this? I've been 181.5 every day!

One more thing that i have noticed...I used to LOVE weghing in the morning because I was always like 5 lbs lighter. But, now that I dont eat even half as much as I used to, I don't have a lot of food weight! lol i was 182.0 at bed time...half a pound? lol REALLY?!

Congrats dehtripper and psychic! I had a good weigh-in today, too! 173.6, which is almost a pound since yesterday and I think my third day of seeing a loss! I guess I'm having on of those much appreciated whooshes! Now I'm down to the lowest weight I hit the last time I did this. Last time I only sat there for a minute, so I can't wait to see what life looks like a few pounds from now. :)

Woohoo!! Look at these numbers!! I was getting pretty discouraged the past few days about my weight but these posts just brightened up my mood!

I weighed in at 175 today but not sure if it's a fluke or not since I'm still on this weird bloat phase!

Nice job, rubidoux and hhm6 on the losses! I was at 173.4 this morning!! That's as low as I've seen in over 5 years. My avatar photo is from a trip to WDW in 2007 and I weighed somewhere around 155. I posted it so I look at it every day for inspiration. Next I'm going to find the shorts I had on (one advantage of my hoarding tendencies) and see if they button!!

See? I told you I'd get less chipper! I did see the elusive 179 last night, and then 180.1 this morning. I KNOW its a tiny thing, but with my deficits, I thought I'd have lost a lb by now, since I weigh in on Sundays. Laaaaaame. I have eaten a lot of chick peas this week (pantry week! woo budget eating!) and I am considering up-ing my calories slightly. i think with workouts I was going below 1200 on some days and that's not cool.

Feeling crappy about it though. I've been working so darn hard! Come on body!

Omg I ate so much yesterday too but I worked out really hard after so I'm hoping this number is here to stay! I actually woke up this morning feeling fat, the bloated-ness still hasn't gone away (SO ANNOYED!!!) but I'll take it as long as the weight is going down! :)

Btw if you guys don't see a loss on the scale def take measurements!! I started doing it a while ago and I'm so glad I did because even if you don't see a loss, you might see it in your inches!

WTG! You look great in that pic! I hope those shorts button! So, ya know, I lost this same 40 pounds a couple of years ago but I don't think I'm fitting into clothes the same way as last time I got here. There was a pair of jeans that I wore for like two months while I was losing that I can get into now but don't feel comfortable in. I'm assuming the weight has come off somewhere else, but hmmmm... it doesn't seem right.

I hope not, too! I feel sometimes like if the stars are not lined up perfectly I can lose my way so easily. Right now I'm having a pretty good little run, but it almost scares me bc I want it to keep up so bad and I know how easy it is to go wrong. Maybe try to think hard about how going off plan will make you feel. Like, before I eat off plan I always think a piece of cake or whatever is going to be so satisfying, but it never is. So I try to picture what I'm gonna feel like (disappointed, sad, ashamed [which no one should ever feel about eating, but I am a product of my culture], and like I still want cake and maybe even more than I did to begin with). That's so frustrating! I'm sorry! I am sure this will pass and the numbers will go down. But I know it sucks to be working hard for what looks like no pay off. :(

I am down almost two pounds from yesterday. lol But that is bc I had a big pukefest, which sucked. I can't lie, when I realized I was going to be sick my first thought was that it might be good for the waistline. But I won't be surprised to see a bump up tomorrow. I was 171.8. I'm gonna wait and see what happens tomorrow before I change my ticker. I am not keen on moving it back up. lol
