OMG, you guys, I just found my records from last time I lost this weight and look how freaking fast I lost it! 173 was the lowest weight I got to last time. I was sadly derailed by a vacation. When I got back I could not make my plan work for me any more. I am never going on vacation again, if I get down below 173. lol

Hey I just wanted to check in with everybody!
It seems like we're all going through a period of sloooowww weight loss. It's so annoying! I try to remind myself that I've lost 17 lbs so far and that I WILL get to my goal even if it takes a long time, but I'm sooooo ready to stop being fat! My weigh-in is tomorrow and I hope hope hope I'll see a good number. I'm planning on being really good today and I'll try and go out for a run when my oldest is napping. |
Hi Underwater and welcome.
I can't believe how many people are so close in weight, it's awesome to have so much support! rubidoux- I'm glad I'm not the only one with charts and graphs of all my previous weight loss attempts. What's nice about this one, is it's by far my longest go at it so I know I'll be successful. And holy crap, you did lose that weight quick. I think the most I've ever lost in a month was 7 pounds and that was at a much higher weight than you. As for me I saw 178.2 on the scale today which is fantastic. I'm going through 178 about 100x faster than 179! I really hope I see 177._ tomorrow, though I doubt it. |
Omg guys! I finally had a good loss! I was 174.4 this morning! That's a 2 lbs loss!!! I'm so happy! I can smell the 160s now!
I've now lost 19 lbs. I hope to hit the 20 lbs loss next week! |

After a day of yard work, walking and eating pretty well, I was up .8 pounds to 178 this morning :(. I'm hoping it's bloat due to TOM. |

I am a moron! lol I had that good day and then fell off the wagon. Typical. I was pretty much off for the whole day, but I did get right back on the next. I can't believe I did that! I think I was kinda starving, though. Anyhow, I was at 179.0 this morning and have high hopes for the next couple if days. |
I am flucuating between 176-178. It sucks because i have been at this point the last few weeks. Started eating clean today so hopefully that will get me down past 176!!

Today I was at 177.4. Better than yesterday, but not where I hoped to be. I have to keep telling myself this is not a race and that I've lost over 25 pounds! I'm just really hoping I'm in the 160s for my DD's graduation party May 19! |

I'm so beyond annoyed with myself!! I'm studying for this exam I have and it's taking a toll on my eating habits and making me so stressed out, I feel like I'm depressed! AND I ate two snickers bars yesterday, so disappointed in myself. UGH My weight was down this weekend at 176 but this morning was back at 178. Sad but thank god it's not 180! Hopefully the scale starts moving again! I need to find a way to separate food and feelings, those snickers tasted better in my head than in real life if that makes any sense! lol |
Aww, I know how that goes hhm6. I'm studying for the california bar for the second time (really bad enough to do this once) and the first time I gained 30 pounds. I decided that since the food helped me deal with the anxiety and it was a temporary situation, I'd just go for it and clean up the mess afterwards. Of course, it was no fun gaining all that, but I actually didn't regret it. I do think those stupid muffins calmed me down enough to give it a good go. Sadly I failed and here I am studying again. Sigh... This time I decided I'm not gaining. But somehow it's easier, now. I'm not as scared of failing now that I know how failing feels. :o
I was at 178.4 again this morning, which is fine with me. Been eating well and exercising sunday, monday, and today so far. So, all is well... I'll be excited to see 177 again, or below, though. It's pretty darn close to 175. Doesn't that seem like a bit of a milestone? :) |
MzPiggy- I am with you too, March 25th I weighed 179.8, today (and for the last 3 days) I've weighed 178.2. It really sucks but at least we're not alone in our struggles!
hhm6- I completely understand what you mean about it not tasting as good in 'real' life. Sometimes I'm craving something, usually chocolate or ice cream and it is always so much better in my head. However I do know that it was good that I ate it because usually I keep my portions in check and it's enough to keep me satisfied for a couple days and safely away from needing to binge. rubidoux- I can't even imagine studying for the bar, good job with trying to stay healthy while you study. When are you planning on taking it? |
Rubidoux- Good luck studying for the bar! I have a few friends who are first years in law school and are complaining about how swamped they are, can't imagine the bar exam. I have been doing this for ages!! It's ridiculous. When I was in undergrad(I'm from CA :) too!) I ate everything without a care in the world and my excuse was always "I need energy, im a student" my freshmen 15 was a freshmen 25 and now 4 years later and I have yet to take the weight off!! I def know where you're coming from!
Changergirl- I feel like I've been doing this so much lately! Like I will see a commercial for cakes/cookies and when I eat I'm not satisfied, feel sick afterwards or what have you, but I still don't learn!!! I still go after it a few days later when I'm craving something sweet! I was doing so well too. Oh well, live and learn I suppose! |
Good morning, everyone! I'm hoping to have a good, on plan Wednesday. I was doing great yesterday until I got into the jolly rancher jelly beans! At least they're gone now :). I just couldn't seem to quit eating them. I'm blaming PMS.
Rubidoux: Good luck on the bar. It sounds like you have the right attitude. Hhm6: don't beat yourself up over a bad day! We all do it. You are doing fantastic. I was bracing to not loose today since I ate more of my activity points than normal. But I somehow weighed in 174.4 :) I think I can thank my period for some of that but I'm happy to be consistently not bouncing back into the 180s for now. Happy wednesday all!! Hope its filled with heathy foods and minds :D |

And thanks, everyone, for the well wishes regarding the bar. I need it! I'm taking it the last week in july. What a way to spend a summer! I have a new low today! :D 176.8! Woo hoo! :carrot: And I just noticed yesterday all of the sudden my pants are falling off. These are the same exact pants that I've been wearing since my restart at 205 pounds, just now getting really loose 30 pounds later. I have three pairs of them and today I'm wearing a different pair and they're falling off, too. :D ETA: Crap, you guys! Whenever I get back to a new low weight I always end up eating off plan. Lately it's been bc I've had insulin reactions, but there's been at least one time that it was more like I was just cheating. I haven't had anything off plan yet today, but OMG I am soooooo hungry right now and I usually am not. I normally don't eat anything until late afternoon and don't have the urge to, but I feel like I could run out and put down some serious calories today. :( Of course, I'm trying not to... I would like to see where the scale goes if I can behave myself for a few days. |

Congrats to everyone and their losses!! Unfortunately I weighed in the exact same today as I have for the last 4 days. At least I'm not going up. It's TOM so I'm blaming that. I'm really hoping to see a drop tomorrow because I'm going out of town tomorrow night so I won't be weighing in again until Monday. At least this weekend away should be healthy, I'm doing some hiking and going to a Korean bullfighting festival which should be interesting. My goal for the weekend is no beer.

I was at 176.2 this morning, which is where I stalled last spring before I gained almost 30 pounds back! I will not let that happen this time! I'm hoping to be below 175 in a few days!!

I broke into the 170's a couple of days ago! 179.2 today, steadily but slowly dropping each day. I will reach 170 by mid-June. :yes:

I weigh myself every morning after I go to the bathroom and before I eat.

I weigh myself almost daily but the only weight that counts is my Monday morning one and I don't allow myself to be disappointed if it's higher on other days. It works for me.

I weigh myself daily every morning! :) Before I would purposely not step on the scale if I ate badly but I know better now, I need to be scared so I don't eat junk throughout the day!
This 175 number is such a tease!!!! I repeatedly step on the scale in the morning before I log my weight and it's always 175.9 then BAM 176!! Psychic- the best feeling I ever had was seeing the 179!! I felt like it was the first time i could say i was losing "real weight" and not just water weight or something lol Can't wait until we're all in the 160s thread!! |

Eep! I hit 175 this morning! One more pound and I'll have lost 30 pounds, be halfway to my initial goal, and be overweight (no longer obese) on the BMI charts!!
