Default What supplements do you take?

I've been watching Dr. Oz lately, and he seems to come up with a different "weight loss" supplement almost every day. Do you take any supplements? Do they help?

Thanks!

I don't take any supplements, but I do take a few vitamins. I try to keep it up daily, but I do find at times I forget. The reason I try to take my multivitamin is due to the calorie restrictive diet.

I have taken weight loss crap long ago and it did nothing for me. I think they are virtually useless wastes of money to give people false hopes. I have read a lot about that stuff and the leaders in fitness and wellness say they are a waste of money.

It is funny because you see Lipozene commercials and they say all this BS studies..but in the FINE print on the bottom it says "With diet and exercise". So in reality, you are losing weight from diet and exercise, not the pill. There's no way to prove or disprove the effectiveness..but I'd just say stick to diet and exercise and don't put any weird concoctions in your body that could hurt you down the road.

I take krill oil, a multivitamin, and calcium, per doctor's orders. She's kind of an idiot when it comes to nutrition, but I figure it can't hurt.

Multivitamin pill, calcium/mag/d3 pill (because if they put enough calcium in the multi it would be a big honkin' pill!) and fish oil gel caps.

Basics, nothing esp fancy.

Default CLA supplement

One of the other threads mentioned CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), it's suppose to help boost metabolism and reduce body fat. I just purchase a bottle from GNC. The pills are pretty big, but they don't have a taste which is a plus.

I take for the health benefits, (not to lose weight), Calcium, Mag, Vit D3, fish oil and biotin. Sometimes Vit C, if I think I might be getting a cold.

So true! I always thought if a person would just follow the "diet plan" that accompany these products they could lose the weight for FREE and never need to pop a pill! Most of these products include a low calorie diet that must be followed in order to achieve results!

Multi-vitamin (always)
Omega 3 - helps me with depression/sads at this time of year
Vitamin D/Calcium

If I feel sick, I eat loads of ginger, and more vitamin C

Multivitamin, EPA/DHA, a Vit D3/K2/iodine combo. I'll use Emergen-C if I think I might be catching something, but since I started the D3 (year and a half), viruses seem to think I'm invisible. Almost forgot - a ceramide/lipowheat combo that FINALLY is the magic bullet to fixing my dry skin.

I just take Vit-D when I can remember to.

I hear people highly recommended pre-natal vitamins, which I really want to try. I also want to get some omega-3s and -9s in me since no way am I getting enough.

I know! It is silly, if there was a magic pill that could make the lbs go away without any exercise or diet modification everyone would be skinny!

No vitamins or supplements here. On the few occasions I bought them I could never remember to take them!
