this is what the doc has me on: centrums. at least one per day. extra vit c. 1500 mg calcium, not as carbonate.

i do better with 2 multivitamins a day. i seem to need more b complex for some reason. maybe it has to do with being a GIRL!!

I'm bad, I don't take anything. I know I should and I even get vitamins free (hubby takes them).

I have to cause my hair is just so thin from being on birth control for so many years and I also think losing the 150lbs by starvation wasn't good for my hair either....... sigh ~

ME !!

Leens, buddy you are making me feel so much better!

I am a slug, I take nothing. I should, I will, I have been thinking about it and it should happen some day...soon, yep, maybe!

Default vitamins

Ive been taking several suppliments for many years.......here's the list
-vit c
-vit b complex
-multi
-chromium pic
-magnesium
-calcium
-bromelian
-primrose oil
-flax seed oil
-Cq10
-vit e (both acids)
-kelp
-and I take my psyllium husk in caplet form 4 per day
-acidiphillus (cant spell today, and im not going down to the fridge to get the bottle )

This is my breakfast with a frozen berry smoothie, there are a few from this list I take after supper.

I always notice a huge difference when I miss a couple days (usually when travelling) my cravings hit the roof, and it takes longer for me to get back on the wagon when I dont take these.
So, use your own best judgement, we all do what works. Ive read alot of books on low carb WOE, and ive taken out of each book what is best for me......if I took all the vits they expected us to take, Id need another job just to pay for them. So, take what you think your body needs, and what will help you in the long run.

All the best to you
Robin

Holy Smokes, Robin! Do you rattle when you walk?

I take a multi-vitamin, 1000 mg of calcium, 800 mg Vitamin E, 1000 mg Vitamin C and a B6. I suppose I really should take a closer look at this.

Default well this is interesting

I just started taking a couple of things a few months ago - for some reason vitamins really upset my tummy and just reading Robin's list made me queasy! Wow you must have a stomach made of iron in order to take all that stuff.

Leens - I did not know that birth control pills make your hair thinner???? oh great - another thing I don't like about those pills. Of course, it still beats having a baby at 42! yikes!

But anyway, I take a B Complex and Calcium a couple of times a day mainly because on 1200 or 1300 calories a day I just apparently don't get enough of the vitamins that I need.

Is there a vitamin that makes the pounds fall off??? I need one of those bad!!!!

hugs,
cathy

I don't know about a vitamin that helps to lose weight but I just read in a book about diabetes that drinking three cups of green tea increases the metabolism!

Between that and 2 quarts of water, I would need Depends. Maybe I should take the advice Ruth gave me in the chatroom and sit on a big sponge!

Unhappy Hey, me too!

I tried to go to chat last night and of course nothing happened. I guess my computer just was sleepy!

As for supplements, I just started a couple of weeks ago. Bad, bad, bad!!!

I take a multi and a b-6, thinking about a b-12 and maybe some more vit C. That's not much, but it's better than what I was taking, which was NOTHING!!
