Oh Julie what cuties you have. Sometimes in my less sane moments I miss having little kids, but than the sweet gs comes over and exhausts me and I straighten right up!
You guys are never going to believe this. Today has been such a rotten day and I have actually stayed op so far. First off, let me tell you that 3 years ago, Walmart lost a check we wrote in their store. I guess they must photo them or something because they contacted me and I checked to see if it had cleared and it hadn't. They immediately got crappy about it even though it wasn't my fault. I took all the info and went and got a cashier's check (because they wouldn't let me send them another check if you can believe it!) Anyway, I overnight FEDEX'D the darn thing to them with all the information, someone signed for it and about 2 weeks later I get this thing that they are gonna take me to court! I had to get a copy of the cashier's check (which they charged me for), the signed bill of FedEx and overnighted the info again proving I had sent it and they received it. They claimed the person who signed for it was not one of their employees. They were actually going to take me to court so I went to the bank and cancelled the original (which again I got charged for), bought another one and called them back and demanded to speak to the head of the department of collections. I took everything but this jerks underwear size down on paper and again overnighted everything. So far this had cost me $75 in assorted fees and Fedex charges. I assumed that was the end of it because I called their corporate office, demanded to speak to the head of the department who was not there, but I talked to someone else and they assured me they had received the cashier's check and everything was ok. Well, to make the story even more aggravating, my son called this morning and said the mortgage company pulled his credit report and said he had a report from Walmart's on it! His name is exactly like his father's except he is III. I immediately knew what was going on when I asked him what the date on it was. Shortly after this fiasco, we received our checkcard from our bank and have never written checks to anything but billpaying anymore. I knew we could not owe anything to that stupid corporation and that was also why we never knew about it. We had never tried to write another check. On top of that, about 15 minutes after I talked to him, my cat jumped on my curio cabinet, knocked a shelf out of place and broke two of my pieces of Lladro. For those of you who don't know what it is, it is spanish porcelain ( a lot of fancy jewelry stores carry their pieces they are pastel in color). My husband brought them back to me when he was on his first cruise and I have 11 pieces and they are worth about $6000! It is the only thing I ever freak about to any kids that are in my house. The cabinet is back in a recessed corner away from traffic anyway. I am just sick about it because my insurance doesn't cover breakage just damage from fire theft etc. The two pieces are now worthless even repaired. I then got an e-mail from my shrew older sister chewing me out because I hadn't told her we were coming to Indiana and demanding we spend a day together and it went on and on. Now I am in a totally foul mood.
The only bright spot is I have my new dishwasher and it is beautiful! Just hold me in good thoughts so I can get over this blue funk. This was just not my day I guess.
