I hate when I go to the Dr. and the Dr. scale says the same as my home scale. I always hoped my scale was wrong

redballoon, the photo is just some generic avatar I found. At the time, I had 3 cats so it seemed appropriate. I have since rescued a stray from my yard, the cutest little black cat in the whole world! If I weren't such a techno-phobe, I'd make her my avatar. Hi all! My computer crashed yesterday and it would NOT work. I was in a near panic as I really need the computer for so much of my freelance work. I brought it to a computer-savvy friend and it is now working but I am way behind and tired. Sunday evening here and I want to call it a day. Hope to catch up soon.

Sticking to my calorie limit is getting easier and easier every day and I am finding my new workout regime seems to be working. Went for a 7 mile walk and swam today... sore but in a good way!

Yay, Redballoon- Scale is finally moving for you! :) Howellbe- 7 mile walk and swim? Nice!!! My weight was up but I suspect it was due to the sodium in the cauliflower soup I made last night with chicken broth soo not worrying about it too much and am drinking a lot of water to try to counteract that. Hope everyone was (mostly) OP this weekend! |
amandie, yes it is, but it is ridiculously slow for some reason. Really, when I look at the numbers and think it's only like 2 lbs, it is even more discouraging. But, heh, that's just the way it is I guess..... :(

What a minute!! I just realized I miscalculated. I ONLY started this challenge on the 14th and weight loss is supposed to be ONE kg every two weeks, not TWO. I was confusing the pace with pounds. So, changing things around means I am within reach of the goal....welll, maybe.... :^:

I'm still at 211. I stayed OP through my 2nd Thanksgiving of the year and didnt even gain an oz overnight, I actually dropped .2! YEY! I now have faith that I can keep going, like I planned, even on the actual day. I just have to remember to get my water in and I'm GOOD! I'm down 7lbs total, and reeeallly close to that being 8. Here's to another lb today!! :D |

As for me, not so much. :lol: I have to admit that my resolve has faltered a little over the past week - some off plan days, but nothing horrible. REally eating at more of a maintenance level, but with some poor choices... quite a bit of wine on the weekend as we went away to a cabin at the beach for the weekend with some friends. So this last 10 days I'm going to bust my a** and see if I can squeeze in 2 or 3 more before the end of the month! SW: 259 CW: 256 (still up one from my low of a week or more ago...) GW: 249 |

Hi all! I am super excited to check in and say that I had a scale swoosh this morning and I weighed in at 243! Which means I hit my ten pound goal today! :) I have to fly to work now, but I will pop in later. Congrats to all who are doing so well! We will have to start a December challenge soon!

I'm at 8lbs right now, but TOM is over today (or it should be, i took my first "green pill" in my next pack on schedule, so this holding-water-weight-pattern will be over!)!!!!! I'm on my water today, hopefully I'll pee a LOT tomorrow and keep going till I'm at 10! It's only the 22nd, I know I can make it! And I can't WAIT for the December thread!! We can drop another 10 next month!! :carrot: :D |

THIS IS FREAKING AMAZING. Yes, I said it.... AAAAHHHHMAZING! I haven't lost this fast since my first several weeks! I'm on plan every day now and its getting easier, thank God, lol. I am still getting back to a previous low of 10 days ago, this seems to be a pattern for me, I think. Sure is frustrating though... (although I did have a few off-plan days in there, so I can't be TOO frustrated!). Anyhow, this is the last week before my TOM so in the past 2 months that I've restarted my weight loss journey, this has been a good week for losses. I'm hoping to get 2 or 3 more before Dec. 1! OH and I forgot to mention... I got my VERY FIRST COMPLIMENT on my weight loss today!!! A casual friend that I haven't seen in about 6 weeks saw me at the mall, and right away asked if I'd been losing weight - she said she could really notice it... YAY!! :D

I am just so discouraged. My weight is up and it shouldn'T be. It really, really shouldn't be. I had stayed away from the scale because I thought just by being good and not overeating the results would come. But, this morning when I weighed myself the weight was up 600 grams from the last weighing and I just don't know why. I really don't know why. And I look horrible too. There is probably no way the weight will go down to what I want by next week and that is just so incredibly discouraging. I feel cursed, like nothing I want comes my way no matter what I do. And so, what's the point? Really, what's the point?
Sorry, I just had to say this because I feel so bad and I know that if I don't say it I will surely do a reversal of everything I was doing in good faith that it would work and hasn't. Maybe by saying it here I can prevent that from, happening. It's just not right. Really not right. How can my body hold onto weight like this? |
I stayed on plan for Thanksgiving. I'm so proud of myself. My weight has come back up from my last weigh in though. I think that loss was water weight, I was pretty darn dehydrated.

It's time to get out of the post Turkey day slump and push towards December 1st!!! WOOOOOOOOO!!! :dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer: Haha! No, but seriously this was a difficult month for a lot of us I think. And heck if we can make it through November with at least SOME progress, well heck........easy months like March will be simple!!! My daughter's birthday was Tuesday....so I had cake and ice cream......the next day I got into a mini cake binge. Duh, who couldn't predict that? The next day was Thanksgiving. I mean, really?? Anyway......I am at 243 now which is one pound up from the beginning of the week. For all of the off plan shenanigans I pulled, I'll take the one pound. I have been to the gym twice since TG already, so hopefully that pound will go away and take a friend or two with it by Thursday!! Pockets: Some of that Fiber One stuff is good. I like the FO cereal that says something about 80 calories on the box. I almost always have an "oats and chocolate" FO bar for breakfast (with coffee of course.) It seems to fill me up and it's fast and portable in the morning which I need. Kirsten: Congrats on the compliments. They feel so good, right! :) Well, I hope everyone is hanging in there!!! Liz |

My scale said 174 today, which would mean 8 pounds for the month. Yay! I celebrated by eating too many of the cinnamon chip cookies I made (they taste sooo good right out of the oven).
