I smiled when I read your post - that's awesome!!

It's nice when ppl give you compliments in a positive way - instead of ways that might be misconstrued - I got howled at by a car of young hoons yesterday - now I don't know if it's a compliment but heck, I'll take it as one.

DH has taken to calling me -stickwoman- and -skinny b!tch- (in the nicest possible way haha) lately and I love it

Of course I'm not THAT thin, but it's helping to reinforce in me the mental change I need to make going from thinking 'fat' to thinking 'thin'.

I just saw a girlfriend this weekend from out of state. She knows about my weight loss, but the last time I saw her was just before I started losing. She said "You look FANTASTIC. Not just the weight loss, but you look happy and your skin is glowing."

Not really related to weightloss, but today in the gym when I was doing a warm-up set of barbell squats with 40 kg (88 lbs), a muscular guy walked up to me and said "You're a very strong woman". I thanked him, of course, although I was a bit puzzled that he thinks I'm strong only from that warm-up set, when I wasn't even getting close to my max squat weight. But it definitely made me feel good.

This past weekend was my bridal tea and my (evil) grandmother who is obsessed with weight loss and people looking "perfect," said "Your dad said you had lost weight and you do look fantastic." Another lady said who say me mid-way through my weight loss and who is an enthusiastic person in general, gasped and said "I think you have lost even more weight since I saw you last!!!! You look beautiful!"

BUT the best compliment came later on Sunday night when my brother and I were looking at the pictures on my camera from the tea. This was the first time that I had pictures taken since I really lost a lot of weight and it showed. I absolutely loved the way I look in the pictures. My brother was agreeing and saying all the typical male family member things (i.e. "oh, yeah, you look great." "uh-huh, yeah, good job" yadda yadda yadda.) I started flipping through previous pictures and found a picture from last summer (June 2010.) It showed how hefty I was. Just joking, I turned it around to show my brother and said "look at that chunk-o" and he just stared at it for about 5 seconds and then said "D**N, Jessica! You've LOST so much weight" and then fist bumped me. It was the first time he realized just how much I have lost and how different I look. It is more difficult for people you live and see on a daily basis, I know, but it felt good to hear him say it. Later he told my mom and asked her if she had seen the "progression pictures" and she said "yeah, Jacob, 20 pounds off a person will make them look different."

So yeah, it was a good weekend for me

I swear going from 160 to 150 (and now past it) made such a difference for some reason. The DAY I hit 150 I was getting compliments left and right!

At the gym everyone calls me skinny—a word I never though I would hear associated with me!

My friend hugged me the other day and said "OMG MY ARMS GO ALL THE WAY AROUND AND THEN SOME." I laughed.

I get called "beautiful" a lot now.

I posted some progress pictures on facebook (the first time) and I received so many compliments I was blushing

I got a ton of compliments on my legs when I mountain climbed a few weeks back; that felt amazing!

Another co-worker compliment...
this morning, said to me "You've been losing weight! you're just wasting away!"
LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

(altho, have to say, I could lose another 30 lb & STILL NOT be "wasting away")

I have gotten several compliments but these are two of the recent ones:
Sat. night I went out for drinks with a girl friend and was texting my husband (I have been married 16 years) and he sent me a message that he had a HOT wife. He never says things like that to me. It really made me feel good that even after 16 years in his eyes I am hot.

Monday, I was at work, getting my lunch together and my bosses wife walked past me and said "Kassi, you look great. Every time I see you I can't believe how awesome you are."

Weird but I went to a store that I frequent about once a month. The owner stopped me to ask if I was feeling "okay" because I was so much smaller. HA!!! I still have a long way to go but I appreciated the comment even if she thought I had some horrible disease

I loved reading all of these comments.

It gives me hope that maybe I will make a noticeable change for me, my husband loves me no matter what size I am, he is crazy.

I LOVE when that happens! Granted, I have only lost a little over 10 lbs, so it hasn't happened to often to me, but I can't wait till it does!

I know a lady who makes clothing of her own design, really nice, really expensive stuff... last year when her show was in town she said to me "I was hoping to see you skinny! I have the perfect shirt for you..." LoL

Unfortunately this year I've gained some weight back But the show isn't until December so I have time to lose some of it and wow her again

I've yet to get any compliments and I've almost lost 20 lbs. Sighhh. It's my proportions- they stay the same, just shrink.
