Happens to me too, which is why I DO weigh in the evening!
Isn't it funny how different people can be?
Because my metabolism and weight loss is so much slower than it was when I was younger and healthier, I don't always see a measureable weight loss every week (and definitely not every day). My weight also fluctuates a lot because of water retention (I'm on meds, but a lot of things can affect how much water I retain - from diet of course but also from my activity level to the temperature).
Seeing the weight "loss" from the night before is reassuring, even if I know it's not "real."
It's also practical, because if I do not see a 2 lb loss from the night before, I've learned that can be an indication that I'm retaining more water than normal. That can be normal diet or TOM related, or it can be a sign of inflammation (if it goes on for several days it can even be a sign of my autoimmune issues flaring).
For example, even though it's TOM weight gain time, I noticed a few days ago that I was retaining more water than usual. Because I gain weight with almost any illness, I was afraid that the weight might mean I had caught my hubby's cold, and sure enough about 24 hours after noticing the weight gain, I woke up with chills, muscle aches, and a very sore throat.
