Commitment.

I think I can make do without everything I use now (weights, workout videos, my bicycle, gym...etc)

But, when I'm not committed to losing weight, I don't.

My blog. I update my personal blog with my progress every week and I love getting encouraging comments from my friends. It really keeps me accountable knowing that if I fall off the wagon before my goal (50 lbs in 50 weeks) people in my real life will know.

caloriecount.about.com and Excel for my food tracking.

My light weights and workout DVDs at home. I just recently got these and it really leaves me with no excuses to avoid working out if I don't have time for the gym.

visiting this site over the past 7 weeks has encouraged me to stick to healthy eating and lose more weight than I have done in the past ten years. Why, I have no idea, I just know that it is working

Knowledge -
From 3FC
From my scale
From Diet power
From DH, who is also losing weight/gaining health successfully
From understanding that if I goof up, I have learned from that experience and will apply that knowledge to move forward

Exercise and staying active. Whether I'm trail running, crosscountry skiing, on the stationary bike here at home or walking down to the post office, exercise has been indispensible... 3-4 days a week minimum, and ideally 5-6 days a week. It's really paid off!

Many things, but I keep coming back to two physical tools:

1. My food scale
2. MyPlate
