Cakses-I am SO sorry for what's happened. I will definitely pray for you and your kids. My dad wasn't in the military but he cheated on my mom as well and my mom had no idea about anything or that he even had any issues with their marriage. It was a horrible time for my mom since she was devastated and horrible for me to watch it since I was 16-17 at the time and pretty much knew or figured out everything on my own. So I sympathize. HUGS.

I'm done with finals finally. I'm very tired. I just got back from my weight watcher meeting and wow. I lost 5.2 pounds on my first week of weight watchers despite having a party to go to, finals and no working out. So I am 215 on the nose again. Very happy about my first week's results.. I'd be happier if I wasn't so tired ha. I'm going to eat some lunch then take a small nap and then I'm going on a short road trip to visit my grandmother and spend some time with her and get my hair cut there and will be back home late tonight. I have another family christmas gathering on Sunday as well. Have a great day all!

CAKSES I am so sorry this is happening to your family. Prayers for you and the kids.

As a "product" of an unwanted divorce I can testify things sometimes work out for the best.

My father had a couple of cheating moments in his life...in all other ways he was the perfect husband/father....I have seen the pain on a personal level.

Hello all-Been thinking about all of you guys. Been a slow couple of days. I'm being a bag of lazy bones. It's been nice. Got most of all of my grades in and am pleased. Hopefully my GPA will start to rise. I doubt my weight loss results this week will be as good as last week's when I weigh in Friday morning since it is after all Christmas week and already this week I've been out of town once to a family Christmas. Did relatively ok eating this past Sunday at the family get together. Could have done better but could have done worse too lol. Going out of town again Friday and staying at family's house. Also have eaten out several times already.. You guys know how it is when it's the holidays. I'll just be thrilled to maintain. Have a great day all!

Red face

I'm with ya Blondie, I haven't lost any more but I haven't really been on-plan too well either. I had lost 6 lb to start with but with DD home and cooking more and Christmas dinners, etc. I'm up, but only 2 lb so I'm not really disappointed to be 'holding' there. . . just happy to be maintaining right now.

Not much happening here - other than the normal craziness, back to working three jobs again, now playing piano at 'my' church which is exactly where I want to be. Where else are you more comfortable than at your own?? It's not paying as much but that's okay too since I'm all about comfort but a chance that will increase some too if I take on the choir after the 1st of the year, so we'll see.

Cakses, what I can I say that hasn't already been said? I am heartbroken for you. Just be sure to take care of you and do what's best for you and the kids, that's your main priority now.

EZ, thanks for the words on the Christmas tree and your support but trust me, I've tried all the angles and all the speeches but she's just not interested, her mind is made up, so, I don't have a tree again this year. I think next year either I'm going to 'man-up' and used every ounce of muscles to get it in the door and set-up myself or perhaps get a smaller tree that will be easier for me to handle. Hey, did you watch Monday Nite Football? How 'bout dem Bears!!!! Love it!!

too - sounds like it's getting better, - at least a little simplier, that's a good thing.

Be Good All, - what a busy week and we're not even half-way there yet! Stay safe.

HI TEAM ~

Man is it ever raining here, and has been since the week-end. We expect more tonight and tomorrow then it should be nice for Christmas Eve and Day.

I spent the early part of the day at the grocery stores getting last minute items for our Christmas Eve dinner and gift exchange. There will be quite a few family and friends here after church as usual. We will be going to early service since Angie is playing bells for that one. Dinner will be a simple one of chili and sandwiches since Angie and I and some of the others will be at church from about 4:30 until 7:30 for various reasons. That way people that come can get started eating without us....no way my brother can wait until 7:30 to eat

Angie will be making chicken cacciatore and polenta on the day after Christmas when my kids and their spouses are here. They will be here Christmas Eve too but so will everybody else the day after allows the kids time to be with their other parent and family (although many of them too will be here Christmas Eve) then the day after we get together for "our" personal time with them.

Well I am crapping out on my eating.... the biggest problem is eating out the past few days. Angie and I went to our fav. Mexican joint on Friday night date night, then we stopped at El Pollo Loco after looking at Christmas lights on Saturday, Sunday after church my son and dil took us back to our Mexican joint for brunch then Sunday night was at the local pub for a birthday dinner for my step-daughter (fish and chips sooo good yet so many calories)....throw in a trip to the deli for lunch yesterday and.....

well.....you know the BALOGNA

MARGIE I told Angie this year that "I don't think we will ever have to put up another tree with all the kids gone"....she says "unless Kaia (my future granddaughter) wants grandpa to have one"...I told if Angie if she wants 10 I will have 10 I suppose if we had more room we would put a tree up but it really cuts into the space the dogs go to to look out the window Trust me, our house is very Christmasy! I did not watch da Bears game but I did check in online every now and then until it was "score wise" over and saw Farve was ko'd. Angie was down here with me so I go easy on the games sometimes to give her a break. She has a 42 inch HD in the living room but for some reason she likes to be here in the family room with me and the dogs watching "my" TV I had no idea there were so many cake shows

BRAT On your grades You know what kid...you just might gain a pound or two through the Christmas week with the travel eating out and stuff....but you and I both know how short life can be....enjoy the time with your family and hop to it after the first of the year with a new and improved attitude.....'cause I am gonna need support taking off my extra baggage

Be good TEAM

EZMONEY-So far I am maintaining despite the dreaded TOM being here in my house a little early so no wonder I have been craving things! But yup you're right just get back on the wagon after the holidays. Now that I have an actual plan and have to go to weekly meetings I feel confident I can get back on the wagon relatively easy if I fall off. I don't feel so overwhelmed anymore.

Good news is I had a phone interview today with a local company. It seemed to go well. I hope to hear something back in about two weeks. So wish me luck! They seemed pleased to know that my college schedule is very flexible.

Have a great day all!

Well I weighed in today and I'm down another 1.8 pounds to 213.2. So I have lost but just didn't lose 5 big ones haha. So that is 8 pounds I've lost in about two and half weeks. So I'm thrilled. I'm packing today for both my husband and I and then when he gets off work early today he's coming home and we are jumping in the car and headed to Houston to be with my aunt my mom's sister for the weekend. Been a super busy week. So far this week I've been out of town three times already on day trips. Last night had to go back to where my family is from and attend a funeral. My mom's best friend, her mom died this week so I went to support her and pay my respects since they all have been so kind to me this past year in my time of need. So it's been a rough week for some of my beloved friends. Anyways have a very Merry Christmas to all of you!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TEAM

Well I just keep "ouncing" up....last night's family/friend gift exchange after church was fun as always.....over 20 people here. I made 3 kinds of chili and had stuff for sandwiches....I had a nice big turkey/ham/salami sandwich on wheat and one bowl of each chili....and of course a few beers over my limit. I am really going to have to take it serious again after New Years

All I can say is it is a darn good thing that I do the good things that I do for my weight or I'd really be sorry.

Time to get away from being pretty good...or not that bad...to proud of myself again

BRAT I hope you have a wonderful week-end at your Aunt's house

HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS TEAM

Talking

Well I'm here, have been but just lurking, probably like most everyone else since there's hardly been any posting going on. Trust everyone had a great Christmas and now back at it! I only worked (my full-time job, still have to do the 2 part-timers) yesterday and today and then off until the New Year so I figured I had better post while I have a good internet connection.

I 'sorta' stayed with it over the past couple weeks while DD has been home but not yet very good on plan either. But yesterday I decided it was time to get serious again before I 'lost' everything I had lost so I was well on-plan yesterday, even a couple calories under and jumped on the ole stationary bike again last night, so I'm down 1/2 lb. this am, I think when you can see the scale move it just motivates you more to keep doing it, so I have my menu all laid out for today and hopefully should be well on-plan again today. I looked back thru my journal last night and my December goal was to lose 10 lb., well so far I'm at 4 but that's better than nothing at all and December isn't over yet!! maybe I can get a little closer to goal. . . .

Yay blonde, that's 1.8 lb. GONE!! Keep it going girl, little by little, that's the way to keep it off too!

EZ - in the words of Scarlett O'Hara - 'for tomorrow is another day', guess your 'tomorrow' will be 2011?? You know what you gotta do. . . .

Be good, stay on plan, stay safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Hi TEAM ~

I am here too and lurking. I guess I just haven't had anything good to post....about weight that is. I did see just a touch of movement on the downhill side of the scale the last few days.

Part of my reason for not posting is out of embarrassment

You see I am at 193 this morning....which compared to last year's 191 on this day......that isn't too bad but obviously not good...

the really sad sucky part is I was at 177 on this day 2008 and at 171 in 2007......

I know some of you feel my pain and anger at myself for being on the wrong side of that baloney....

If I give up the future would not be too bright......

Not gonna let that happen! Are we TEAM!!

I'm back..been a rough week food and plan wise. Been struggling myself big time. So EZMONEY you are not alone! I am up to 214.8. So I have gained 1.6 back. It's not too bad considering past damage I've done before ha. I was supposed to go out of town AGAIN today to go visit more family for a long day trip and then get back home tonight really late and I just called and canceled since I am too tired and am really a bit too broke to spend more money on gas. I think I also may be coming down with something since I am not feeling too good but I could just be pretty tired too. My husband is pretty tired himself. So I just want to stay home today and do as little as possible and it's been foggy and raining and yucky weather with very bad driving conditions for the past 24 hours around here. Since December 17th I have been out of town 4 times and probably have put almost a thousand miles on my vehicle just from traveling around the grand state of Texas :-). I also have another funeral to attend to as well tomorrow and it will be the second funeral I've attended in one week. Hopefully today I can finally eat on plan since I will be at home. Have a great day all!
