Default Charging forward and not looking behind

I am starting over AGAIN! I have started and stopped so many times in the past few years but I am sick of doing that. I am tired of looking at my next seasons wardrobe and thinking I was going to lose weight so I didn't have to wear this piece of clothing again (fat clothes that is).

I have been giving serious thought to my eating habits over the last couple of months but doing nothing to change it. Then this past week was an awakening for me when we had company visiting and I ate anything and everything. I have'nt felt so bloated and miserable in a long time. Then when I looked at the pictures we took, I can't bear to even print and share them. I wanted to be skinner and healthier by this summer and I told myself that last year I would be but yet here I am still overweight and unhealthy with fall/winter on the way with no changes in myself.

I hate feeling out of shape but not sure if I can stick to a exercise schedule with a preschooler running around with no naps. I am not a morning person so getting up early is difficult so I am going to have to really sacrifice and make my exercise a priority first thing in the morning. It's easier to stay in bed and get the extra zzz's. I am really hoping that this time around I can do it. I need to make myself accountable somehow. No more excuses!! Thank you for your time. Charging forward and not looking behind...

we are behind you all the way. First step, I think, is go discuss this with your doctor. Get some blood work or any other testing to make sure there is nothing medically wrong like sleep apnea or thyroid problems making you tired. Unfortunately, there is usually no easy solution, so you have to make yourself do it. The reward is feeling better. Good luck

Good for you for taking control of your health! Getting up early to exercise is a great idea but for days you can't do that, take your kid to the park. I have kids and they give me a good workout just running around. Bonus, it wears them out and they sleep well, so then mommy gets a good night's sleep and can get up early the next morning.

Good luck on your journey!

Hey, skinny4me. We are like weight loss twins. We have the same starting weight, height, and joined 3FC at the same time. And like you, I gave up for about a year before I started buckling down this past February.

I'm not a morning person either, but I do like exercise before work. It gives me some alone time before I go to the office. And I feel such a sense of accomplishment if I work out in the morning. I don't what it's like to have a child in the house, but perhaps exercise can be your time for yourself.

On mornings I get up to exercise, I go to bed early the night before like 8:30 or 9 pm. That helps a lot.

Welcome back and keep posting. We are here to cheer you on

When my kids were preschoolers, we had TV time three times a week from 10-11am, right after morning snack. The kids watched Dora & Backyardigans (in the childproof TV room with a kiddie gate) while I did 40 minutes on the treadmill and took a shower.

It's something to consider. And the kids loved being allowed to watch TV.
