I had to come back to add something about these crazy pants. I'm wearing them right now and so was reminded of them. They are from No Boundaries and are marked as a junior 19. These dang things will fit me if I'm anywhere between a 14 and a 20/22. They look best when the rest of my pants are 16s, above 16 and they are tight but still fit, 14 and they are baggy but they fit. Not sure if they would still fit if I were otherwise wearing a 12 because I've not been a 12 since I've had them, guess I'll be finding out in a few months. I am fairly certain they would not fit if I were a 24 and I do not plan to ever find out. These have got to be the craziest pants ever. I plan to get hubby to take progress pics today in these pants, at 197. I have some older progress pics at 229 in these pants. I can't wait to see them side by side.
I'm 5'2" 197lbs and a size 16 average pants (with the exception of one pair of stretch cords) and a large shirt or XL in juniors.
At 245 I was a 20 pushing 22. I hit the 18s around 220.
Wow your sizes are just like mine, which you know sizes are CRAZY so it sparked my interest. Have you ever been skinny? I never have so (I was probably a 16 when I was 12, but have been the same weight for my entire adult life.
I would love to hear what size you were at what weight if you could share!
I'm 5'6", 254lbs and am currently in a size 22. All bodies are different, it makes me want to scream when I go shopping. I have that pear shaped kind of figure, if I had to give it a name thats what I'd guess.
I'm smaller up top and bigger on the bottom, which is more of a curse than I know how to admit. My shirts range from medium to large, some XL depending on the maker of the clothing. Before I lost down to 254lbs, I was wearing 24-26W jeans. It isn't a huge step, but one step at a time is the way to go.
I'm 5'6.5, 178lbs and only just now fitting into size 14 UK sizes. I'm not sure what that is US, size 12? I'd love to go to the US so I could say with all honesty that I am a size 12.
I'm 5'7" and 165. I have clothing from size 10 to 14 - the 14's are getting pretty much too big to wear. Sometimes I like baggy clothes, so the 14's are always baggy, most 12's are loose, and skirts in size 10 leave me some room at the waist. I can fit comfortably into most size 8 skirts while standing UP, but if they're a straight fitting skirt, they feel a bit too snug when I sit down
I have a size 8 pair of pants that I can pull up and zip but I need about 1" more to button them Does that count as an 8? LOL I've had 2 clothes shopping experiences where the salesgirl said "You look to be about a 10" so despite the fact I can squeeeeze into some 8's, and some 14's dont fall ALL the way down (unless I'm running, then the 14's do fall down LOL) I'd make "size 10" my final answer.
I was a 14 at 185. At 211 I was probably an 18; I never bought any 18's but none of my 16's fit at that weight unless they were elastic waist, or unless I was willing to deal with *serious* muffin top!
I carry most of my weight in my stomach and hips. Finding clothes that fit correctly and feel good is next to impossible right now. Maybe one day designers will start making clothes for real women and not stick thin models!
In my previous post I completely neglected to say what size the strech cords are, silly girl, they are a 14.
Air81: I'm sorry to say but I have no real recollection of anything below a 14 which I figure I will hit at around 180 or 175 (other than the stretch cords of course). I have been chunky my entire life. I was normal sized until I was 2 or 3 and that's it. I sooo totally blame my parents.
merose: I think a UK 14 is smaller than a US 12. I lived in England for a few years and I have some clothes from then. I have all of my too small stuff sorted into bins according to size and I sorted it by what size it was on me, not by the size on the tags. I have UK size 18 stuff in the bin marked 14 and UK size 16 in the 12s bin. I don't have any UK 14s, but I am guessing by what I do have that if I did it would be in the 10s bin. It was so frustrating to me that the sizes weren't the same. And shoes go the opposite way - I wear a size 6 US shoe and a 4 UK shoe, grrrr! American friends that see the 4 on the bottom of some of my shoes from England are so confused.
At this point in time, I am 5'7.5" (+/-), 186 lbs, and size 12 jeans and medium to large shirts. The muffin top thing is a bit annoying, but the legs and the waist are slowly dwindling
I'm 5'3, 174 pounds now eh, and i wear a size 11-13 in jeans and in shirt depending on where they a from a medium to an extra large. Weird thing though a few weeks ago i tried on some dickie shorts that belong to my boy friends sister which were a size 7 and they fit.
I'm 4'11
173 pounds
and I wear a 15/16 ish, depends on the jeans. and usually Med.-large in shirts. My bottom half is ridiculous!! I have huge calves and thighs. And a pretty decent sized butt and hips... so pretty much just a big bottom half! lol.
