Yeah, I'm willing to give it a listen!

We should totally swap recipes! From the looks of your meals, seems you like Indian food? I know some recipes of popular dishes if you're interested.

Off to play tennis in 30 mins.

me sleepy so quick confession today. then i'm off to bed.

my weight, is the same as yesterday, no gain. which is good. 169.2lbs.

i woke up at 8.40am!! that’s a first for me. and i forced myself to stay awake! read a book in bed as the sun was shining in. which was nice. and then i did a work out with ab exercises, and loads of squats with hand held weights. i was sweating like crazy! hehe.

i made a big salad for lunch. which i will be eating for the rest of the week. i put in grated cucumber, carrots, raddish, tomatoes. and then just black pepper. no dressing, no salt.

my food confession:

1 peach. 1 plum

lunch : roast chicken. salad. vegetables, and 4 or 5 small roast potatoes.

dessert mango milkshake with 1 fresh mango. 1 glass of semi skimmed milk, some water, and 2 tablespoon of sugar.

i treated myself since it was sunday hehe.

and that was all. no dinner. as the lunch was quite late afternoon. then just drank water.

i'm off to bed now. hopefully will wake up tommorow at 9am aswell.

night night !

Hey Echo - sounds like you had a good day!

Here's the rundown for my day:

Had breffix - 2 medium eggs + leftover veggie toppings from last night's pizza. 2 slices of 12grain toast. 1 cup skim milk + 1 tbsp cocoa powder.

Lunch -ate out, 'cause we were going to the mall. Had a falafel sandwich with tabouli salad and pasta salad as sides. The servings were not big at all, so I was happy. The sandwich was only half a pita with fairly small falafels, so I was happy with that too.

Snack - we had sno-cones at the mall. We walked 3.5 miles!!! (I wore my pedometer)

Dinner - flattened rice with diced roasted potatoes and onions. Yum. And er...3 squares of cadbury's fruit n' nut chocky.

Dang, I ate a lot today. Blurg. Oh well, going for a run/walk tomorrow morning followed by some tennis in the evening, so hopefully I'll make up for today's caloric excess.

ooooooooooooopsy i've been naughty today! i got bitten by the carb hungry monster! lol

my confession for today (its only 8pm, but the kitchen is closed for me now!)..

exercise - 18 minutes on the trampoline

breakfast - 1 peach.

lunch - 1 wholewheat pita naan. a bowl of stir fried mince lamb meat (no added oil). half a bowl of yellow lentil (daal). salad. some vegetables.

dinner - 1 wholewheat pita bread. 1 slice of bread (white/brown) and another bowl of stir fried mince lamb. and tiny bit of cheese, a little bit of low fat mayo and tiny bit of salad. (i made 1/4 tiny sandwhich lol)

ooopsy i over did it on the carbs!! i cant help it. its the mince lamb. i love mince lamb! and i have to have it with naan or bread.. its my kryptonite. hehehe

BUT i did resist not eating 3 hershey kisses. they are sitting in my drawer, i took them out of the fridge. but i then ate 8 almonds and 4 cashew nuts, and didnt eat the kisses.

thats me done today.

today's weight - 168.2lbs (lost 1lb from yesterday and by todays carb overload, no doubt will gain it back again or more so tommorow!) but will think positively like Gabriel would say. and will my body to burn it away!!! and to visualise my thin body hehe

--

oh no! so much for my "the kitchen is now closed" which the greedy monster inside of me completely ignored ! Lol. i just gobbled up some mince lamb curry that my mom just made, with half a roti.

okay i will treat today as my "cheat" day. lol

will do better tommorow! no carbs tommorow!

Mmm curry. I don't eat lamb, but man that sounds good...

Here's my day:

Breffix - 1 cup skim milk with 1 tbsp cocoa powder
2 slices 12-grain bread, teeny tiny shavings of butter that I ended up not tasting.

Lunch - 1 cup Israeli couscous (prepared, bought from Costco) with olives, baby corn, tomatoes, parsley, and some kind of olive oil/vinegar dressing
toasted pita chips

Snack - 100 cal popcorn bag

Dinner - homemade pasta and veggies. Whole wheat/multigrain? penne pasta with onions, sundried tomatoes, broccoli and garlic. Side dish: Shredded, roasted brussel sprouts with garlic.

Snack/Dessert - 2 cups of seedless grapes.

I'm trying to keep my calories to 1800 ish, but no matter what I do it ends up creeping into the high 1900s. I can't cut down a lot because I get really hungry otherwise and that leads to binge-ing. I need to add some more veggies and fruits into my diet so that I feel full.

Exercise - 2 mile (hoping for 2.5) walk with hubby.

I'm getting my 30 Day Shred DVD in the mail soon (Netflix). I can't wait!!

Calbear - woohoo!! Running 4.6 miles, wow! I'm just getting back into running and I've only done 0.6 miles so far. I'm hoping to get a mile down in another week.

Sunni - i PM'd you the link of that podcast.

--

my confession so far today:

today's weight = 170.2lbs (gained 2 lbs from yesterday. total weight loss from day 1 (7 days ago) = 3.2lbs).

i measured my waist also.

i found this formula on the internet, this doc was describing how your waist should be no more than half your height.
i'm 5 foot 7. which is 68 inches. divide that by 2 = 34 inches. therefore my waist should be no more than 34 inches.
at the moment my waist (measured around my belly button - ) is 37 inches.

so in addition to weighing myself, am also going to measure my waist on a weekly basis, to see how i am doing.
----

i woke up late today. must have been the carb overload yesterday! made me feel sluggish in the morning. so i overslept.

i did 19 minutes on the trampoline so that was good.
i'm finding it easier to exercise first thing now, before i used to struggle, and procrastinate! cause i felt so tired in the morning, no matter how long i slept. so i'm already seeing a difference. which is good.

breakfast - 2 small plums.

lunch: bowl of yellow lentil soup. some veg, salad.

dessert : 1/4 cup of honey nut cornflakes with semi skimmed milk.
(initially i had weighed out 30 grams of the cornflakes, but then realised i just really wanted a few bites, so just put a little bit of it in this small tiny bowl lol).

then i wanted some something savory haha. so i had two small chicken leg pieces with a little bit of low fat yoghurt.
--

will update on my dinner...

tommorow i wont be dieting or exercising, as i'm heading into town and treating myself! meeting a friend for lunch, then watching a film at the cinema (the ugly truth) and then studying at the library and then meeting some friends for dinner at a spanish tapas restaurant. so will be taking a day off! hehe. but back on the exercise and diet on thursday! :-)

Got the podcast title! Thanks!

That's interesting about the waist. I calculated mine - it's supposed to be 32.5 and I'm 34.5 so I have 2 inches to go. That makes me wonder...what about really tall people? So someone who's 6 ft tall can have a waist of 36 inches? I read that anything above 35 predisposes someone to heart problems and diabetes. I would take that calculation with a grain of salt. Works fine for your height, as long as it's under 35 inches. Oh well, gives one a goal, right?

Exercise/diet:

I feel much better since I dropped to 164.9 (I know it's not REALLY 164, but I'll take what I can get!). I had cut down on my exercise and food. I was actually proud of myself yesterday for accounting for every bite I ate. Really opened my eyes. Today, am doing the same and hoping to play some tennis or get a good jog in this evening. I'm curious to see what the scale shows tomorrow...

Have fun on your day off, Echo! See you in a couple of days!
