lol Sunni i love that devil laugh so funny!

i love oatmeal raisen cookies. yum yum.

aww the beach! nice ! i love the beach :)
i love the sand on my feet too!!! so nice!

hope your day went well today. as they say today is a brand new day, forget about what happened yesterday, it doesnt matter :)
----

well its day 2 of me following the 4 golden rules, and i feel GREAT!
this morning, i drank 1.6litres of water.

and then around 3pm, i ate. i was REALLY hungry. and in my mind i WANTED 2 fried eggs and like 3 pieces of toast!

but i said, no i will make 1 egg and 2 toast, and if im still hungry i can fry the 2nd egg.

so i made 1 egg, 2 toast.

i ate consciously. no tv. and i ate very slowly. so slowly infact that by the end of it my egg got cold hahaha. i savoured each bite, made sure it was completely mushy, before i swallowed. i took about 13 minutes to eat, i think. usually i would have eaten 2 eggs 3 toasts, in about 4 minutes or so. and STILL would want more!

but not this time.

after i ate 1 and half toast and the egg. i felt SATISFIED and i left half the toast. and did not want a 2nd egg. i then drank 1 cup of peppermint tea.

:)
----
and i'm very excited cause today the book - the gabriel method arrived in the post!! cant wait to read it :)
--

hope you girls have a good day! will update later on this evening.

Echo 08-15-2009 03:49 PM

okay my confession:

water - 2 litres.

lunch - 1 and half plain toast and 1 fried egg.

dinner - appetizer - 1 pear. it was scrumptious, bursting with sweet flavour.

dinner - 1/2 cup of cooked veggy rice. 1 tablespoon of chicken curry and 1 small chicken piece. 1/2 cup of chick peas curry. few leaves of iceberg lettuce. 1 tablespoon of yoghurt.

i ate slowly! took me 24 minutes to eat it. and i felt stuffed afterwards! near the end of my meal i drew a deep breath and i read on another thread - someone reported that you take a deep breath or sigh - that means your full. but i ignored it and carried on eating and a few minutes later realised i was stuffed. so next time will not ignore that deep breath !

2 cups of peppermint tea (1 after lunch, and 1 just now)

exercise - not much i'm afraid to report. i only did 30 wall pushups. (TOM) and a few minutes walk in the garden.

but tommorow i'm gonna do a proper workout, hoping to go for a run :woops:

goodnight! see you tommorow. i'm off to bed and to listen to the hypnotic cd:dizzy:

Hi Hannahboo, welcome to you too! :welcome2: Giving in to those temptations does seem much easier in the beginning. This is what I do and it may not work for everyone, but it works for me. I started calorie counting and really monitoring my portion sizes. So far, I've dropped a couple of pounds in the past two weeks, which has made me happy and determined to keep the downward trend going. I also weigh myself daily to keep myself accountable for what I eat. I use Fitday to track my food and my exercise. It has a nifty program where you can see the caloric balance for the day (total calories in v. total calories out). As long as my calories out column is higher, I'm happy. This didn't start yesterday, it took time for me. It took me a few weeks to realize that just exercising and eating crap or large portions isn't going to make the weight go away. Like this morning, I don't have access to my breffix from home. So I'll have two slices of toast and because I love cake donuts, I'm going to have one ONLY if they have my fave cake donut (plain). After that I'm stopping. Previously, I would've eaten everything and then some. Like Echo, I eat really quickly too and would've no doubt eaten way beyond what I should eat. Try to substitute healthy, tasty versions of your favorite snacks. For instance, if you like potato chips, then substitute veggie chips instead. They still taste like chips, but they are made with natural veggie juices, so it's a step in the right direction. Make fries at home in the oven. There are plenty of lo-cal recipes out there. Start cooking at home to control the fat and calories. Start introducing more veggies into your diet, etc. You can do it!! We're here to support you!!:D

Echo 08-17-2009 07:25 AM

HannahBoo23 :welcome3: ! lovely for you to join us!! the more the merrier!!!

awww I know its hard when you start off, but slowly you will get there, keep getting back on the horse each day..

well i dont know what works for other people and dont know if this will work for you but i can tell you what i am doing at the moment, that's working for me.

I'm following Paul Mckenna's 4 golden rules (from the show and book - i can make you thin -i'm waiting for my copy to arrive in the post), and also reading about the gabriel method. at the moment i can eat whatever i want. but first i must be truly hungry. and not emotional hunger either. but physically hungry.

you can tell the difference between emotional hunger and physical hunger, because physical hunger, comes on gradually. but emotional hunger, is sudden, and is usually associated with feeling bad, bored, and you want to change your mood through food.

and he also gives these tips on how to stop cravings for bad food, that you just have no control over.. its a sequence of tapings, difficult to explain if you havent seen the show. but there might be a video on youtube maybe.

but bottom line is. i'm allowed to eat whatever i want. but first i check if im really hungry.. than i drink a glass of water, to make sure im not just thirsty. then if i AM hungry. i eat whatever i want. BUT here's the important thing, i eat VERY SLOWLY!! i chew each food until it dissapears!! the slower the better. but i do try to make half the meal "healthy" and half of what i want hehe.

by doing this. i've noticed i'm eating HALF of what i normally eat!

he also says that if you want to stop yourself from eating chocolate, imagine it being mixed in with something you really hate and find disgusting, and then throw in some hair in there, and it will make you not want to eat it lol. its actually really powerful stuff, so make sure you dont gag! i've found myself wanting to gag just by my imagination! so make sure you dont use it on something, you would like to eat now and then! lol

and another rule is, when you're full, STOP eating! you can tell when you're full, you will be more thirsty than hungry (So dont drink whilst your eating) or you will draw a deep breath, or sigh. it will take practice to listen to your stomach. so aim to feel satisfied or full. never stuffed or bloated.

i hope that helps.
the rules are:

4 GOLDEN RULES

1. When You Are Hungry, Eat

2. Eat What You Want, Not What You Think You Should

3. Eat Consciously And Enjoy Every Mouthful (eat SLOWLY, no T.V)

4. When You Think You Are Full, Stop Eating

(added on - if you're hungry, drink a glass of water, to check if you weren't just thirsty).

=====================

Juliastl27 - well done ! :cheer: :welcome3: that sounds like a very good day for you :Cheer:
===

Sunni - great job on welcoming our new recruits hehehe :) and well done on losing a couple of pounds, thats great!
and i also weigh myself everyday ! hehe

Echo 08-17-2009 07:37 AM

my confession for yesterday. it was sunday and i was quite naughty  BUT i used the slow eating technique!

morning - 13 minutes of running (interval running/walking) and this time i was able to run for 1 minute at each interval, without pain in my shins, i was so happy! i couldn't believe it!! in the past, even running 45 seconds, i would get this hellish agony burning feeling in my shins, but not yesterday :) hope i am able to do it again next time i go running :)

after my run, i was craving a juicy sweet pear. so i ate half a pear, lol it took me 8 minutes to eat just half! and then half way through, i sighed, i drew a deep breath and realised i felt satisfied, and then just ate one more bite. and left the other half in the fridge.

i then had sunday roast lunch with the family - and ate slowly. usually i would be the first one done! luckily my family is being supportive and encouraging and also eating slowly with me! and they also have realised they are eating less.

i ate 1 and half chicken leg pieces (usually i would be able to eat 3-4!) half a small roast potato. 3 tablespoons of coleslaw. 3 garlic bread baguette pieces. they were so scrummy, i made the garlic butter myself. with fresh garlic, some butter, mixed in with olive oil, abit of magarine, and parsley and mixed herbs.

then i had dessert - half a mango with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. that too i ate slowly lol.

and then at family friends house, went over for tea. and had 2 small meat samosas. 1 pakora. and 1 glass of pepsi. and 1 small sweet thing.

when i got home, had a large glass of water. and that was that!

so i over indulged, in naughty foods yesterday, but thats okay, cause it was sunday lol. i relax abit on my diet on sundays :)

okay my tummy is rumbling and i've had a glass of water. i better eat something! and then will do some exercise hopefully later in the afternoon.

Sunnigummi 08-17-2009 07:50 AM

I need to :tantrum:.

Hubby planned this spontaneous beach weekend this...um...weekend. So we were gone Saturday and Sunday. I posted on how I thought I did a good job controlling my portions and only eating til I was full and watching how much I ate of everything. We only ate at mealtimes and we did walk on the beach on Sat. We walked in the aquarium on Sunday for a good 2 hours, so that counts, even if it was a stroll. BUT, I checked in on my weight this morning. OMG. It's up to 167.1. Now granted, I usually weigh before breffix and after going to the bathroom blah blah and this morning I weighed before going to the bathroom, but WHAT.THE.****. A month ago when we went with family, I ate really bad food and a lot of it and barely exercised, so I was not surprised to see a hike in my weight. But this time, I was being so careful!!! I hope it's water weight of some sort and just drops over the next few days. I'll have to go back to exercising twice in a day to get rid of it all. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Ok, rant over. On to today.

Breffix - 1 cup skim milk, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, 2 slices 12-grain bread.

Snack - 1 cup grapes

Lunch - 1/2 cup cooked white rice, 1/4 serving roasting bell pepper potatoes, 1/4 serving potato curry

Snack - cherries

Dinner - Haven't decided yet...probably homemade noodles with veggies

Exercise: If it's not too sunny out, I'll go for a walk in the morning. If it is sunny, I'll stay indoors and do that Jillian Michaels vid. Evening - 45 mins - 1 hr of tennis.

Sunnigummi 08-17-2009 07:52 AM

Echo - congrats on the slow eating!! You had a yummy Sunday... :D That's awesome that your fam is so supportive! I love this thread - missed it this weekend.

 to all us chickies on here. :)

Echo 08-17-2009 08:31 AM

Thanks Sunni!

awww thanks I'm so happy you love this thread, i love it too!! hehe thanks for all the girls for joining in :)

and please do not worry about the weight gain. your weight will go up and down..you will see in a few days, it will drop down !! its probably just water or undigested food still in your body.
sounds like you had a lovely weekend at the beach how nice! and i'm so impressed you controlled your portions over the holiday break!
good luck with today! sounds like a great plan :cheer2: :cheer2:

me feeling abit peckish, but its bedtime, so going to drink some water! and go to bed lol

goodnight girls! see you tommorow!

Sunnigummi 08-18-2009 09:36 AM

Hi Cape! Do you make your bread in a breadmaker or the traditional way? I don't have a breadmaker but I would LOVE to make multigrain bread at home. Would you mind sharing the recipe with me? Pretty please? :D

So all's well in my little weight loss world today - I lost 3 lbs from yesterday, which makes me uber happy because it means all my hawkish portion controlling over the weekend was for something. I'm still a couple of lbs away from my lowest that I hit last week, but I'm more confident of getting back to it and plugging on.

Today's rundown:

Breffix - 1 cup skim milk, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, 2 slices 12-grain bread.

Snack - 1 banana or a bowl of grapes or some watermelon

Lunch - no idea. There are no onions, which I've found to be the base of most of my dishes so I'm in a soup, haha. :p There are some leftovers that I can snack on. I might make 2 rotis to go with them...

Snack - 1 banana or a bowl of grapes or some watermelon

Dinner - chicken biryani. I finally learned how to make it!! Whoot! :D

Exercise: 1 hour dancing and 1 hour of tennis or a walk this evening.

-------------
Chit-chat time! I saw a fun movie last night called Happy-Go-Lucky. It's from 2008 and if you have Netflix, its available on Instant Watch. I really liked it! My husband and I watch movies (he's into them) and so far every movie he's picked has left me depressed or in tears so this was his redemption (what can I say? I'm a happy person). :p I really liked it! I loved the lead character, she was so sweet. I also secretly wanted her wardrobe. Anyway, check it out!

Echo 08-18-2009 11:46 AM

wow 3lbs!! that is super awesome Sunni!! :cheer2: way to go! hard work paid off ;)

--

exercise - i did day 1 of the p90x , i did the workout for chest, back and Abs. my god its tough! but i just adapted it to how i could do it. did wall push ups and used light weights instead of pull ups. felt great afterwards, had a rush of those lovely endorphins!!!
i'm looking forward to the next workout :)

haven't eaten anything yet, just been drinking water. gonna hit the showers. and then have a nice meal , yum yum, im hungry cant wait!

lol i love that "chit-chat time" hahaha so cute!
thanks for the movie tip! i love movies :) will have to check it out today!

i saw the ugly truth last week at the cinema, i thought it was great i enjoyed watching it. the chemistry between the two lead actors was great! and i thought it was funny and cute and romantic :)

catch ya girls later. have a super day! :cheer3:

Sunnigummi 08-18-2009 03:50 PM

Hey Echo! You're a movie buff too? Kewl. I heard about the Ugly Truth, but we've yet to see anything at the theater. Mostly because I said the next time I go I have to see Harry Potter and I got a :dz: response. This movie's got that HAGel chick in it. Don't like her, but I did hear about the chemistry between the two. There were even rumors that they were getting cozy () on set. I also love celebrity gossip. I obviously have no life. But yeah, sounds cute!! I'll have to catch it soon. :)

Dinner amendment - we're having homemade pizza. I'll do something else with the chicken I thawed.

Exercise - did light dancing for 1 hour, didn't sweat as much. Will be going for a walk tonight after we go grocery shopping. I need my onions!!

Echo 08-18-2009 05:53 PM

LOL at that face response. i still havent seen harry potter, i'm a harry potter fan, read the books way before they even thought about making the films. so its fun for me to see the difference between my imagination and the film. i still prefer the books hehe. i've still got to read the last one! i have it. but havent had a chance to read. i have so many half read books lol.

really? thats so interesting about what you said about their chemistry. hehe thats cool that i noticed it too! lol at celebrity gossip haha.

oooh i love pizza! yum yum!

dancing is great! i just did some aswell, as i had too much energy haha.

i love onions too.
--

okay my confession.

exercise - p90x - chest and back and AB ripper X.

snack - half a pear, 2 cherries , 1 apricot.

dinner - 1/2 cup of rice. 1/4 cup of brown lentil soup (daal). half a tomato. a little bit of cucumber and carrots. some yoghurt.
time taken to eat = 25 minutes.
feeling after meal = satisfied.
--

then after awhile. i had this burst of energy and felt compelled to get up and dance. so i danced in my room for 14 minutes, and worked up a sweat lol. i then did some stretches for my shins.

and now just drinking water.
drank about 1 and half litres today.

total number of steps taken according to my pedometer. that i have attached to me all day so far = 6248

==
catch ya tommorow girls! keep up the good work! you're doing great!
i'm sleepy, which is suprising cause its only 11.15pm. but am gonna listen to my body and head for bed. hopefully this means i wil get up early tommorow morning! i hope so. goodnight girls. sleep well.

and well done on the dancing Sunni! :cheer2: you gave me the idea ;)

Echo 08-18-2009 05:56 PM

ps when is your vegas trip?

Cape Breton Chick 08-18-2009 06:43 PM

Hi Ladies!... Thanks so much for the welcome and compliments Echo! lol the cookies are really good.. was kind of an experiment baking experience, lol , they are like a drop cookie and super healthy. And yes I am not much of a soda/pop drinker at all, but I really like my cranberry juice with a splash of 7-up.. just that lil something extra and i think i am having something bad but i am not lol haha.
And Sunni...I am so sorry to disappoint, but I do not make my own homemade bread, I get it from the local Bakery.. I will only eat homemade breads..but do not sadly bake the bread on my own... one day will give it a go maybe lol.

So here is today's run down...

Breakfast - Carnation Instant Breakfast Shake

Snack - Fruit Salad (grapes, mangoes, watermelon and pineapple)

Lunch - Meal Replacement Shake

Snack - Wildberry Yogurt with small amount of Harvest Crunch

Supper - Baked Homemade Sweet Potatoe Fries (cut sweet potatoes into thin strips sprayed with EVOO Spray and spinkled with sea salt), Chicken and Multigrain Bun. Cranberry & 7 to drink

Only drank half liter of water today.. which was not good as it was very hot here today.. am going to have to try to get some more in this evening.

Later on I am planning to have a "lil treat" while watching Big Brother.. lol ethier 100 cal bag of lays reg. potatoe chips or a 1/2c. of key lime sherbet..but if I do not feel hungry I will not have anything.. I hope.. lol

I think aside from the lack of water I did pretty good today...

Sunnigummi 08-19-2009 06:37 AM

That's ok, Cape. I forgive you...this time. ;) Hehe. :D

Echo - my Vegas trip is mid-Sept. I'm revising my goal of 155 to 160. It's coming off so slowly, might as well change goals and not get depressed as I am prone to do. :) Yay on the dancing! It's fun, isn't it? That's my fave exercise besides tennis.

You MUST read the last book, then we can discuss. Actually, I've kinda forgotten most of the details, I read it when it first came out. That's the advantage of having an older sis who's also crazy about it and has extra cash. Hee hee. :D I also read the books well before the movies came out. They're hit or miss I think. I really liked the special FX, but sometimes their interpretation of a character was off from what I imagined him/her to be. Like Hermoine. In the book, she's mousy and has buck teeth, but in the movie, she's beautiful. Go figure. They can't cast an unattractive actress in a movie, or she won't be a "star". Gotta love that h-wood mentality. *eyeroll*

Food for today:

Breffix - 1 cup skim milk, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, 2 slices 12-grain bread

Snack - 1 banana

Lunch - Um, dunno. 1 roti with leftover curry.

Snack - watermelon

Dinner - Chicken biryani.

Exercise for today:

1 hour of dancing, or Jillian Michael's vid. HAVE to go exercise tonight. Didn't go last night because hubby was concerned about my bite that became a red swelling. I hate bugs, and I got bitten quite a few times over the last two days (beach bugs). The one on my calf was itching like crazy and like a fool I scratched it a lot so I guess that's what made it become all big and red. Boo. I hope it goes away quickly.

Have a good day, ladies!!

Bombe 08-19-2009 11:08 AM

Hi all

Today is staring off great so far!

Breakfast - protein shake made with 1% milk
Lunch will be 2 egg whites on whole wheat with a slice of low fat cheese and some wilted spinach
Dinner will be roasted skinless chicken and veggies with a low fat spinach cream sauce
If I have a snack it'll probably be a 100 calorie microwave popcorn since I've been thinking about popcorn for the past few days! lol

Today I went to the gym for the first time. I warmed up with 10 minutes on the elliptical and then did 30 minutes of weights and then finished with another 15 minutes on the treadmill. My muscles are feeling a little jellyish but I feel good!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Echo 08-19-2009 12:13 PM

chit chat:

----

Sunni- wow you going to vegas, how cool! i hear the more slowly the weight comes off, the more likely you will keep it off ;)

yah dancing is fun! that's such a good idea. i'm glad you told me about it. it enables me to get in abit more exercise without realising it hehehe.

yes, definately will read the last HP book!

oh i forgot about hermione having buck teeth lol. i really like hermione in the film. i think she is so cute.

great plan! very healthy :)

oh dear sorry to hear about your bite, hope it heals - i hear putting an ice cube on it, if it scratches, helps maybe

---

Bombe!!! lovely to hear from you :) and thats wonderful that your day is going great !

and well done on the gym workouts !! :cheer2: that's awesome!

Sunnigummi 08-19-2009 12:48 PM

Echo - you're really doing P90X? Good for you! I saw an infomercial for it a long time ago, and it looked brutal. I would want to do it, but I know the kind of person that I am. I'll do it until it shows results and then when something happens that I can't do it, I'll completely forget about it and go back to walking/jogging/tennis/dancing, etc. Blah. Sounds like you get a good burn though. Woohoo! :)

Mmm...parathas. I need to learn how to make those. I love alu parathas, but they're a no-no for now. I can't WAIT for Vegas! We've planned out our itinerary and it looks so fun! We're also visiting a couple of buffets just because that's part of the Vegas experience although my husband gets nauseated when he sees large amounts of food in front of him (wish I had that problem, I just salivate ;)), so it's a good thing I practiced my portion control this past weekend.

Bombe - nice meal plan! I'm going to try doing that for the next week. I think if I know exactly what I'm making for dinner and lunch each night, then I can be better prepared to balance the calories. I'm also going to try calorie cycling too. It worked a couple of weeks ago, so I think I'll try it.

I was bad today. And it's only 1 PM! I ate breffix, didn't have milk, and ate a LOT of veggie straws. It's a chip of sorts - pic included. BLAH. We got them for a discount and they're irresistible!! :( I guess I have to learn to control myself. I'm having fruit for lunch. We have yummy watermelon and grapes. There are also pears that I've forgotten about so I'll eat those too. At least I'll get my fruit servings in for the day. Tonight - biryani!! :D Gotta save up my calories for that, hehe.

Exercise - still have to do my dance-a-thon, but I will.

chit chat:

I saw this really cool avator from one of the members here. and I pm'd her, and she told me about this site, where you can make a virtual you!

input your current weight and then your goal weight, and it makes a model of you. you can change the hairstyle etc.

i read that its a good idea to imagine what your body will look like. its sort of giving your brain a blue print to work on. according to the gabriel method and paul mckenna everyday i have to imagine a slimmer version of me. so i usually picture myself slimmer on a private beach, where it's just me , running around in my slim body hehe).

so i just made my virtual weight loss model! hehehe

i made two.
this one is current versus goal. (although i wish my body looked as good as my model does at my weight/height hahah).

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3502/...987413da_o.jpg

i then did another one for fun, which is what my model looks like currently in this cute little outfit. i am going to update this model's clothes for everytime i lose 2 pounds :) just for fun! hehehe

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3526/...c97e9297_o.jpg

if you want to make your own model, the website is:

http://mvm.com/cs/

and i then print screened it , pasted it onto photoshop, cropped it, and then uploaded it to flickr. i know its a long process.

:D Gotta save up my calories for that, hehe.

aww thanks!! :)
yah i'm doing the p90x. i started yesterday! noway can i keep up with them!! so i modify it, i just do as much as i can and in whatever shape and form i can do it in lol. i'm finding it fun, cause its all new :)

i love alu (potato- for those others that dont know what we're talking about hehe) parathas too! so yum.

omg you're holiday sounds amazing!! i think its really great, that you're gonna be able to reward yourself for all the hard work you're doing by a vacation, you totally deserve it!!

lol at veggy straws. thanks for the pic. they look yummy ;)

great idea on the fruit to balance it out ;) mmm chicken briyani. yum yum

my confession for today ;)
===

exercise = p90x : 35 minutes of plyometrics. and cool down and stretches and shin stretches.

lunch - 1 roti (heated in abit of rapeseed oil with stir fried mince lamb (no added oil) 2 slices of tomato and abit of yoghurt.
time taken to eat the meal - 19 minutes. felt satisfied.

dinner - 1 and 1/4 roti. with 1 cup of stir fried minced lamb. abit of salad.

time taken to eat - 20minutes. i should have chewed abit more. but i love mince lamb, its too scrummy.
feeling after dinner - full :)

then had an Apple squash 'martini' (non alcoholic)
(i have these martini glasses, i dont drink alcohol, but i love the cocktail glasses, my friend gave them to me), so i put abit of apple squash with some water and ice into a glass to mix, shake it about - and then pour it into the martini glass- and had that to finish my meal - lovely :)
i had a blackcurrent one after my lunch. its a nice way to end the meal :)

i like Cape breton's idea of a capful of 7up, so going to get a bottle and try that out too!!

Hey Cape! I learn so much from this board. I had the naive impression that all states/countries up north from me would be having much cooler weather, but apparently that's not the case! I would never have thought that NS would be hot (my idea of hot is 90+F) this time of year. Hubby and I want to visit NS and other parts of Canada by this time next year. Beautiful area you live in!!

Chit chat time: because I've confessed enough for today. :p Lessee. Hmm. I realize that I'm probably the sweatiest person that ever lived. Any kind of exercise no matter how strenous or easy will cause me to sweat. Not just sweat like have tiny droplets here and there. Nope, full out drenched sweat. It makes me feel fat for some reason. What's worse is that I used to think it was because of my weight and when I dropped it a few years ago, I *still* sweat as much. Today, I asked hubby if his parents sweat a lot and they don't (he doesn't). I thought about it and my parents do. Neither are overweight. So I'm destined to be a sweat-er. Not the wooly kind. Hehe. Wow, that was boring chit chat. I'm also really annoyed about this message I received a few days ago. I'm trying not to let things get to me and it still is, strangely enough. Grrr. Sorry for rambling - it's a personality trait. :D 'Night all.

i actually like it when i'm sweating during a workout, and i feel a few droplets fall down my face, and i check the small in my back to see how much i am sweating, cause then i feel like i am working out!! :woops::wl::lifter:

lol at not the wooly kind.

i'm sorry to hear that you are feeling annoyed about a message you recieved. i can understand that it can be upsetting. i hope you feel better : if you wanna ever talk about it, feel free to pm me ;)

Hey guys! My day was eh, not so good:

breakfast -
1 string cheese 60 cals

lunch -
lean cuisine spaghetti 290 cals
low carb yogurt 80 cals

too many snacks! -
1/2 banana nut muffin 200 cals
chips - 110 cals
chocolate - 60 cals

total so far - 800 cals and like over 100 carbs. Gotta be mellow on dinner.

Sunnigummi 08-20-2009 08:45 PM

Awww Echo, that's sweet of you! I'm sure I'll take you up on your PM offer one of these days. This woman is a pest and I don't like her, but I'm polite so I guess she's too dense to catch on. She's what's known as a frenemy - someone who is a friend and an enemy at the same time. She always uses these overly-friendly terms (babes, honey, etc) when she wants something. Otherwise, she's catty. It was the "friendly" kind of message that pissed me off the other day. I really need to learn how to let go. I need to listen to that podcast again. :p

Happening - wowza, congrats on all that weight loss! :D Hope to be there someday. :)

Ok, diet & exercise confessions for today... I was actually proud of myself for not eating myself out of house and home, so yay!

breffix - 1 medium egg scrambled with a dash of soy sauce.

Snack - veggie straws. Hehehe.

Lunch - 5 spinach and mozzie raviolis, 1/2 cup biryani, 1 chicken leg

Snack - 1 banana, 1/2 100 cal bag of popcorn, 1 oatmeal raisin cookie

Dinner - 1/2 cup cooked white rice, 1/2 cup Indian-vegetable-I-don't-know-the-English-name-for curry, 1/2 cup plain NF yogurt. This was the yummiest meal I had today, strangely enough. I think it reminded me of my mom's cooking, which I miss.

Exercise:

I was lazy today. Went for a 1.5 mile walk with hubby. Too many bugs, so we both came back disgruntled. :p I love humid weather. :dz:

Bombe 08-21-2009 12:01 PM

So far so good for me today - protein shake for breakfast before I went to the gym, there I did 35 minutes cardio, came home and for lunch it's a veggie bowl. Not sure what dinner is going to be, I don't have time to cook anything to bring to work (I work second shift so my dinner is at work) so I'll either grab a frozen lean cuisine and make a small salad to go with it or I'll have to find something semi-healthy that I can go out and pick up on my dinner break. I'm kind of tired of the lean cuisine/salad option because I've already done that 2 (or maybe 3) times this week. I need to get off my butt and start cooking myself some fresh food!!!
