hey all! I haven't been on here in over 3 weeks... eek!!! I'm back in PA for the summer and just got wireless set up this weekend. I haven't been weighing but if the fit of my clothing speaks, I've been maintaining and may have even dropped another few lbs. (Though it could just be that I haven't washed my jeans in a few days and they are stretched and feel more loose!)

I hope everyone had a great memorial day last weekend!

my son just turned 5. he is usually good about picking up but when i comes to going through all the old toys as soon as he sees something packed away that he wants to play with out it comes and it never gets packed away. but i am thinking that maybe we can do it together or at least try it. he loves to help around the house and usually gets to far a head of me. at least he helps though.

That's good about the Omega, dutch! I forgot to ask him about that but he needs to see me in 6 weeks!

I'm on a generic form of Celexa. They also took all sorts of blood from me to make sure there wasn't something else going on.

So I'm pretty low right now. Today was not a good day. I felt bad but went into work anyways despite me still having a low grade fever under 100. I finally called the doctor and he was so concerned that he wanted me to leave work ASAP around 10ish and drive myself straight there from work and I persuaded them to let me come in at 4 after work since I've already been talked to by my boss about me being sick and out so much. Then today I got told that my old PE teacher where I work now has ovarian cancer and I just was so shocked by the news and also shocked by my reaction I had to leave the room and go to the bathroom to compose myself because I was crying. Then I got myself to the doctor and the news wasn't too good. The doctor has decided he has no clue what is wrong with me and what I have acts like mono but isn't mono since this has lasted 7 months and mono does not last that long. He is sending me ASAP to an infectious disease specialist. So I'm definitely scared and stressed out about money since I still have to have a roof over my head and food and bills paid.

Jeannette-I'm glad you went to the doctor! I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and hope your blood tests come back OK.

Have a good night.

Girls- I hope things turn out well with your health issues. It is no fun when things are in a funk.

Gary- That is so awesome for your DD. I can't even imagine running a marathon. 5k, piece of cake, 26 miles, shoot me now. Looking forward to those pics.

Dutch- It is paying off. Keep it up.

My scale has lost it's mind. After the 4.4 pound gain last week, I am starting off this week with big losses. I don't trust it right now. I'll let you know tomorrow, if it sticks. This is the most insane body in the world.

Quick note from me as well. Blonde - I am thinking of you - sounds like you are in a scary stressful place. But try not to "cross the bridge" until you get there? The body is a funny thing. Are you doing your own research and getting "holistic" opinions as well? Just to stay balanced and fully in charge. I have not had so much good luck with western doctors, although of course they have their place! But I went through about a year back in my twenties with doctors scratching their heads, racking up the bills, scaring me with all kinds of tests for things like HIV and Lupus, etc. I was sure I was going to die by 24. Turns out I was having a stress reaction (which of course they didn't listen to anything I SAID about how the symptoms came and went and what they correlated with) which was only made worse by all my hospital stays. When all was said and done, they put me through a lot of grief that...hmmm...I guess I just learned then that they also have 'blinders" on. So I tend to trust them "last" :-) Maybe too much so!

BIG HUG!

And Jeannette good for you for taking charge of your depression. I would also urge you too to stay informed on what meds they give you and results of your bloods tests. You are your own best advocate :-)!!!!

BIG HUGS TO YOU BOTH!

MTiger - you are using a scale and not a barometric pressure gauge, right !!!! That is SO CRAZY!!!!

Rest of team - hello, and good work all! Nephew's birthday tonight and I made cupcakes...but I think I can squeeze one in if I don't have the ice cream. Not that they are THAT good - sort of a cheesy fake strawberry bubblegum flavor, but I can't NOT eat one as it's just going to be the three of us. It would be rude not to have one. You know - take the fun out of the celebration. Going to play board games and have pizza too. Got my 1/5 all scoped out...

Oh and kitty started meds yesterday - if this works (crossing fingers) it won't be too hard. She actually dealt with the whole gel on the ear smearing thing rather well.

Hey guess what? Bloodwork came back.

I have hypothyroidism! Explains EVERYTHING. I'm on Synthroid now as well as my Celexa.

J- So happy you have an answer. Also a very treatable problem. Hope you get to feeling better quickly.

Dutch- i have been seeing 4 am lately. Yep, waking up in the "middle" of the night and then can't get back to sleep. That is a stress thing for me. It happens end of school year, begining of a new school year, too much on my mind. Man, I miss my sleep. 1.5 more days and then..... SUMMER!!!!

Bobble- I might as well be using estimation. It is just crazy. that's all I can say. Yesterday 189.8, today 191. Tomorrow, who knows. How about two sevens, or a barrel full of monkeys.

Mrsauggie- I've got some stump issues too. Not fun.
