Beets & Raddish. Those are pretty much the ONLY veggies I don't like!
I don't like asparagus, nor do I like canned spinach, and I am so unsure about turnips - how do you cook them?
Broccoli rabe. It soils the good name of broccoli to include that in the name! Bitter doesn't begin to describe it. I can't even force it down. It's the only veggie I cannot tolerate. Normally I love vegetables!
I eat anything green, with the exception of brussel sprouts....... but I cant stand carrots or corn.... not a fan of squash either
I love all veggies, but hate brussel sprouts!! and yukon gold small potaoes
Green Peas but I love Split Pea soup! :dizzy: Go figure!
Lima beans.
Beets.
Cooked carrots served by themselves but I can eat them raw or cooked mixed with other foods.
I will always hate green beans

You have great weight loss (congrats), but if you ever choose to edge the green ones in I suggest using the frozen "frenched" ones, substituting half for pasta when you make a pest or other non tomato based pasta. Because of the way they are sliced they provide a similar texture to noodles and don't really taste much. |
I hate cucumbers!!! I also dislike brussel sprouts and cabbage but I'll eat them occasionally
Another Brussels sprouts hater here! Any other vegetable I can find a way to fix it that I like. Unfortunately, DH LOVES Brussels sprouts!
I LOVE brussel sprouts. My teenaged daughter likes them so much, when I bring them to the table she always greets them, "hello my friends". Of course she then proceeds to gobble them up, something she'd never do to her "real" (human) friends. ;)
Countingdown, have you tried them roasted? I halve them, put them in a pot with a couple of inches of water, par boil them for about 8 minutes. Then I lay them on a roasting tray which was coated with cooking spray. I add finely chopped garlic and onion (sometimes just garlic and onion powder), sea salt and lots of cooking spray. Place in a 400 degree oven for about 20 - 30 minutes, turning once or twice, till they get nice and browned. All crispy and crunchy-ish on the outside - soft and buttery on the inside. MAJOR yumm. And don't even get me started on green beans - or cucumbers. |
I like most veggies, but just can't seem to stand EGGPLANT, OKRA, LIMA BEANS, and BEETS. I wish I did like beets becuz they are so low in calories: it's the texture that bothers me the most, not the bland taste so much; as they can be pickled or buttered, but my DH loves them. I'm not crazy about spinach, but can tolerate it, if I eat it quickly or mix it with my potatoes.
Funny, as a child, I loathed turnip (and rutabagas), but now I love every kind. |
