Broccoli. Smells like the worst SBD while cooking. Tastes like ... well, a terrible SBD would taste (silent-but-deadly). DH and DS love it, and I know it's a nutritional powerhouse ... but they crack up watching my face while I eat it. Sauteed in chicken stock, with toasted pine nuts and mushrooms, almost but not quite hides its vileness.

eggplant

OK, I get to dart back to here, with a proper veggie nomination.

I do like (or will glumly eat) almost any "common" vegetable. However, in the course of exploring the supermarket, I have ventured into the exotic foods section.

Horned melons are revolting! :barf: They don't have much flavor, but the texture of the seedy innards is slimy and gross.

I've only bought one of these, but I made myself eat a few spoonfuls of it each day, to prove it wouldn't go to waste! LOL. Yuck. Never again! :nono:

So kind of like passionfruit? I like the look of it but it doesn't do much for me.

Zumbachica 01-16-2011 04:23 PM

Okra....gross

leslielou87 01-16-2011 10:18 PM

i hate raw broccoli

clurrrburrr 01-17-2011 10:10 AM

Beets! Yuck.

The only time I ever enjoyed them was in Ireland...with goat cheese and peas.
But you can't hate anything served with goat cheese...

I tried to give them another shot last week and ordered them in a salad.

krampus 01-17-2011 11:28 PM

Lettuce!

skinnycow126 01-18-2011 12:28 AM

Celery... a textural nightmare.

MadamButterfly 01-18-2011 01:15 AM

Brussel sprouts, Brussel sprouts, BRUSSEL SPROUTS . . . EWWWWWWWWWWWW and OH NO!!

LeslieWendy 01-21-2011 07:02 PM

Cooked spinach, chard or kale. It turns to slim and tastes like a slug. Don't mind them raw or roasted.
