Yeah I didn't mention that after the half hour of puking feeling I felt high as a kite for most of the evening! And of course, that bikini! That's the real reason!

Endorphines (or is it endorphins?) Best buzz in the World.
I can't work out too late in the day because the buzz keeps me awake. Plus that great feeling of having done something good and positive for yourself - gives a great feeling of smug satisfaction.... ;) |
Hello all....
Check out the signature.... 14lbs down and for one I feel positive :carrot: Hope everyone is well.... :) |
Yahoooooooooo! Well done MAZ! You rock :cp:
|
That;s a whole stone. Fab!

Well done! :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot:
I had a lovely day yesterday. We went shopping for a book about stretches for DH to give me for my birthday - we both thought it isn't the kind of this he could buy without me chosing it - and I ended up chosing a book on Yoga positions. So..... just a couple of doors along from the book shop was a Thorntons with a cafe in it.... I don't like chocolate except for Thorntons so I don't know why we chose it to have lunch. I didn't realise that when you get a coffee at Thorntons that they give you a posh truffle choccie nestled in the teaspoon in your saucer! The place was FULL of skinny women scoffing HUGE pastries, cheesecakes and decadent coffees (how do they do it and stay so thin???) - and all I ate was a low fat tuna & cucumber on mixed grain sandwich with a cup of black de-caff - AND I DIDN'T EAT THE FREEBIE CHOCCIE. DH ate his and said it tasted over sweet and cloyish, we both think this could be because we haven't eaten anything like that for about six months now. I also walked through the shop part TWICE - and they were giving out tasters for the chocolate fountain thingie.... but I resisted. Today the scales show a 2lb gain! Arghhhhhhhhhhh Thank goodness my official weigh in day is tomorrow. :( |
Awwww poor Sarah! Maybe that chocolate seeped in through your pores and puffed you up by 2lbs!!! ;)
 I spent 2 hours going through my grading stuff. I will be so glad when it's over! It's boring doing it over and over and over and over and over... I had to get up early this morning to move my motorbikes from the -2 car park to the -1 car park. They are painting the lines or something. There is a huge steep ramp that I had to push one of the bikes up - it's dead - so Superwoman Frus got an extra workout this morning before breakfast! It's :rain: horrible here! I got all wet! Ick! I need to snuggle up in a duvet  My cold's a bit worse today too. Ick! |
I've got your cold - and you can have it back! I was okay when I woke up but it has developed properly since I started my LBWO and I feel :censored: now. Can't tell the dogs that though, they are desperate for their walk - so I'm waiting for some paracetamol to get rid of the headache and slight temperature before talking them out.... in the pouring rain.
Well done on pushing the dead bike. Any idea whats wrong with it? Have you got a friendly bike mechanic who'll do it for you or do you do your own repairs? I think I finally feel like eating, so I'm going to have brekkie before walking the dogs - maybe I'll feel a bit more like going out if I eat something first. Oh, forgot, I got myself the most amazing black top in Pilot yesterday. £29.99 reduced to £5. It crosses over down the front and comes in elasticated at the waist - it looks more like a halter neck mini dress (it ties with a bit of silk rope round the back of the neck and the long bits of the handkerchief hem comes down to just above my knees) but the girl said you wear it over jeans or leggings. We've been invited to go bowling with DH's boss (so it'll be a 'smart casual' evening) and I thought this top would do until DH pointed out the crossed over bit at the front only happens about half way down my chest - so it could be a little risky when actually bowling! I am SO not looking forward to this bowling evening - I hate his boss! |
That sounds like a lovely top! You may need safety pins! I do that with all my wrap round dresses just in case!
I think it's electrical with the dead bike, but it's a spare and Dad supposedly wants it back. The fact that it's been sitting in my car park for nearly a year makes me think I should've traded it in when I bought my 250! What a numpty! Anyways, looking at getting a Honda Deauville in January, I will  it - shaft drive and 2 panniers as standard and I can get a top-box too, enough room for all my kickboxing gear and shopping without having to put my hold-all on the back with a luggage bungee! |

Bargain! :dizzy: |
Well done Mazarin!
SarahAnn - that sounds like Freeport! That Thorntons is one of the reasons I got up to 195lb in the first place - all those Buy One Get One Frees, etc! Was just saying to DH t'other day that we haven't stepped inside a Thorntons for 11 months - and it shows! I used to never resist going past one - even the full price ones, let alone the Designer Outlet cheapo ones! Lucky for me I'm not a coffee fan, either - I like the smell of it, but I can live without drinking it! But it's strange how, once you stop going in those places, they no longer have any pull and I wonder how I could even afford the £5 here and £10 there on chockie. When DH moans about my organic food being dear I just remind him how much we used to spend, week in week out, on bought cakes, and biscuits and chocolate - and he soon shuts up! I can walk right past Thorntons or the Cadbury's shop at the York retail outlet and not even feel an urge to go in! Result! That said... York Poundland do giant bars of Cadbury's for a quid and I have 5 kids, so I go in there once a week and stock up on chocolate for the kids. This morning I'm baking a couple of chockie cakes to make into a Loch Ness Monster cake for my son (who's 12 tomorrow!) And I've got to the stage where I can buy choc for the kids (buying loads of Dairy Milk to cover it in this afternoon), and bake mountains of cakes weekly, or do their birthday teas - without even being tempted. I just crave choc one week out of every 5, so long as the kids' bdays fall when it's not 'that' week... I'm fine! Well done on your weight loss, Sarah! I've lost only a couple of pounds since Jan, so all the time you've been doing it, I've still not got down to target! This rate, you'll beat me to it! Well done! I've got an incentive to lose the last few lbs - my best friend's getting married (civil ceremony - my first gay wedding - am so excited!) in July, and it would be nice to aim at that as my time to finally hit target - as I'm her 'best woman' kind of thing! |
Yes, it was Freeport Thorntons. Bleaughhhh - even the thought of chocolate is making me feel a bit :barf: today. I also went in to the Monsoon clearance shop - thats the LAST TIME I listen to any advice of anyone on this message board ;) ;) - I spent a fortune in there! Yes, they do plus sizes up to size 22 in some styles - but they do a whole lot of stuff in size 16 as I found out to my cost - I spent all my recent eBay earnings :( Have you looked at the site board there - they are going to open a permanent Monsoon where they are doing the building work opposite the car park entrance. I also went in to Next. Oh dear! I have now got a bulging wardrobe and an empty purse.
About that black top - and I don't think safety pins are going to do the job - maybe double sided tape??? I just wish I had a bit more 'up top' to fill it out a bit. I might have to invest in some of that :censored: tape. I still haven't taken the dogs out.... I went back to bed. :( Frus, how is your Dad planning on getting that bike up to Whitby? Couldn't you sell it on eBay for spares? My second bike was a 250 (I think?) it was a Honder Super Dream - which someone had sprayed matt black - what with my black leather all-in-one number and black helmet I looked a bit like Darth Vader. I think that's what attracted DH - he must be SO disappointed in me now. |
 The bike fits in the back of his Renault Espace! It's only a Honda NS125, it's quite dinky really! I'm riding a Honda Rebel at the moment which has a Super Dream engine and looks like a Harley Cruiser! It sounds like a hairdryer though, that's how people can tell it's not a Harley!
You can get :censored: tape in La Senza and Debenhams... I also saw it somewhere else on the counter that I can't remember... Maybe another Debenhams! Maybe it's time to throw out the fat clothes if your wardrobe's bulging?? :D |
Ah - well... thats where the problems start - I have ALREADY thrown out, given away or sold my fat clothes (everything over a size 20) - what I've got in there at the moment is smaller size 20, a lot of size 18, an AWFUL lot of size 16 and a few bits and pieces in size 14.
Its not ALL stuff I've bought - I used to sell some plus size clothes on eBay and I used to get it in packs of 1x16, 2x18, 2x20, 2x22, 2x24, 2x26 and 1x28 - and for some reason I was often left with the size 16's - so I permanently borrowed the stuff that fits in with my size 16 wardrobe. Some are still a bit on the snug side but they'll fit me one day. I haven't yet figured out how to show it on my accounts! ;) I'm back from walking the dogs (obviously) I got wet through and I'm sneezing nicely now! I'm slinging together a Delia chicken and rice recipe which'll cook pretty much without supervision then I'm going to sit on the sofa, watch that Penguin DVD and feel sorry for myself. |
Oooh do you have March Of The Penguins??? That sounds so cool! I'm sneezing more too! I've got gingerbread men! :D
