I'm a sick frussy

I ache all over. I've taken the day off work to sleep. I'm going back to bed in a bit.

Got our Tesco order yesterday - it's genius! Our fridge and freezer are full to busting, but I don't feel like eating any of it I must be ill! I only want to eat gingerbread men - a sure sign of sickness!

I need to potter out into town later on today to get the Granny a birthday card If I'm feeling up to it, I might make the long 5 minute walk to Sainsbury's and lay my hands on a gingerbread man!

Well done Homer's Mummy!

I went to Sainsbury's to get a gingerbread man because there are people DRILLING and PLAYING LOUD MUSIC in the block today! I almost fainted at the checkout. Great!

Poor Dippy

I'm contemplating a bath but I don't know if I can be bothered! More sleep is probably the best bet. Have wedding dress fitting tomorrow! Just hope I don't pass out or throw up on them! Lovely!

Food today has consisted of oats, banana, gingerbread man, marmite on toast and wenslydale with cranberries! Very healthy! Gingerbread men & marmite on toast, best comfort food in the world ever! I bought some Haddock fillets at sainsbury's and some garlic roast potatoes, which I might have for dinner if I'm feeling hungry and have the energy to make it! I'm looking forward to it, but I hope I'm well enough to enjoy it!

Oh and Kyk, I bouth Ultra Fit - great issue this time! Weights, diets, eating, swimming, yoga and running - all our favourite things! Just needed a kickboxing article and we would've been set!

Poor 2 frus I believe there are a number of things going around. I didn't feel all that bright when in Paris last week. When I cam back from my Aun't on Saturday I felt my throught get sore. Oh course I hthen had a sore head to go with it. Typical - Especially as this is my week back to work after my holiday. The only thing keeping me going is that we have quite a good Easter break here from 13th to 19th. Oh and I have already ripped open my Aunt's easter pressie - a block of Green and Black's butterscotch choccie and a dark one too - yum!!

Poor Poorly Frus. Hope you feel better soon.

I'm at work before Spanish trying to decide whether to join a running club. I actually think I might cough up because it's only £5 to join til August and I'll get discounts at running shops and for races etc. I'll ponder it a bit more.

I'm excited about tomorrow morning. My training plan prescribes REST!!! I have a Saturday race rather than a Sunday one this week, and as I never do anything the day before, that means no gym and a lie in during the week for the first time in a year. I won't know what to do with myself! It's only a 5k on Saturday, and I could probably cope with swimming, but once I start building up my mileage I need to have complete rest days rather than my current something but not much rest days, so I may as well get in the habit now

And I hurt from a fast 5k and then weights this morning. I'm not sure quite what I did to myself!

As an ex member of a running club myself... there are words you don't expect to hear! I was 10. We ran round the block!

Go for it YP! Sounds like a good deal!

I'm awake... I've been asleep since I was last on - I'm now cooking my garlic roast potatoes and haddock "loin" Oooh the potatoes smell nice! I'd better go turn them and put in my fishy dishy! I'm still not particularly hungry, but it's good food, so I'm going to at least try and eat something that will get me back on my feet rather than gingerbread men!

I'm back from Spanish, really looking forward to my lazy morning tomorrow! I think that having Friday as a rest day will actually work very well because I'm out on Thursday and Friday nights most weeks and it will be nice to have some time to get some house jobs done on a Friday morning.

'Morning, Ladies!

Sorry I've been away for a day or two - DH has been 'working' at home and has been roping me in to his projects.

Frus - I hope you're feeling better. There's a kind of tummy bug virus going round here, which has sort of flu like symptoms as well. All the kids seem to be coming down with it - I feel so sorry for them being ill during the school holidays. That cod loin with garlic potatoes sound lovely. In fact all potatoes sound nice to me at the moment, I haven't had normal spuds since last November and I'm getting a bit of a craving for them.

Helen - I hope you enjoy your lazy day, you deserve it. I had my 'day off' yesterday - somehow I always get an attack of the guilts when I don't exercise even when I know its 'official'.

Hommersmummy - well done on that 3lbs! 26lbs gone - brilliant!

Veggie - Isn't it a shame that running can't be as much fun as it was when we were kids? I can remember running for the sheer joy of it, rather than thinking of it as 'exercise'.

Janey - I'm not surprised you had a headache doing those kinds of hours. You can't be getting enough sleep and/or down time. Will the pressure ease up soon?

Kyk - that IS outrageous! Definitely complain - you're paying just as much as the girlies so you deserve to have YOUR hips massaged as well. I know I'm getting a potato fixation now, I just re-read your salmon dinner ingredients and I started dribbling over the thought of the new potatoes.

I decided to have a break from porridge for brekkie (which I've had every day for the last six months) and tried out those oat and cottage cheese pancakes from the Ladies Who Lift recipe thread. I topped them with zapped frozen 'black forest' fruits (served hot mixed with sweetener) and THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. I am kicking myself that I haven't tried them sooner.

I did upper body training this morning and for some reason my knee hurts After I've walked the muts I'm going to get a nice workout by scrubbing the kitchen. DH cooked curries for dinner yesterday and he's splattered a turmeric based sauce all over my cream walls and kitchen units. Why do men make such a mess and use every available pan when they cook?

*whistles* It's not just men! Hehe. I don't make a mess, but I do use every single pan and utensil! Oops.
