Have a lovely day.

Dippy I know exactly where you are at the moment we are similar heights you have an inch on me you lucky thing. I was stuck at your weight for a good while too, and no one really seemed to notice that much. Then all of a sudden it started moving again, I was like you though I just kept at it and knew it would shift and it did and it still is it seems. People that I havent seen for some time are fascinated at how much smaller I am and don't hold back from saying so!! I don't mind though I know how big I was. I read somewhere about a girl who had lost weight and she said the smaller she became the more visible she became, as sad as that probably sounds it is the case.

Anyway all stay safe and warm.

Michele

Hi all, have had a lovely day. I'm finally a size 18 in jeans, so no more 20's!! Yay!!! I got two pairs to celebrate (my old ones were falling down!!)

Frus, congrats on the test. It must have been playing on my mind. I had a dream last night that you were pregnant, that your baby was due the same day as your black belt grading. You gave your obstetrician a right telling off, saying that your baby was going to be born to an active mum and he just had to get used to it! He cuold be born in the afternoon, as your grading was in the morning

YP you lentil eating, yoga headstanding, sequin wearing hippy!!! I'm sure you'll enjoy your non meat eating month, and won't go back to being a carnivore, apart from perhaps after the marathon in Berlin, where you might be ready to murder a steak!!!

I've had a lovely day off exercise, I went to the gym last night and had a great upper body workout. I am going to have to play with the program that's been done for me, it's not right. Day 1 weights sessions goes for an hour, day two goes for half an hour, it's a bit skewiff!!!

I did some interesting exercises on the power plate, and seem to have found a cure for my tight quadriceps. It does involve lying on a step with my arse in the air and my quadriceps on the power plate, I am sure some confused astronaut thought he had spotted a new mountain range Not to worry though, I don't care!!! I'm proud of my super J-Lo derrierre

Hope everyone has had a good Saturday!!!

I've been exceptionally lazy today. My soup was absolutely gorgeous, and I'm looking forward to the four servings I have got left. My pasta this evening wasn't so great, but as long as it does the job I'll be happy. Early night tonight I think. I've started getting my stuff ready for the morning, although the race only starts at 11 so I shouldn't be too rushed. I do have to drive over to Blackpool, but at least I don't have to be there for 8.30 or something ridiculous.

That exercise sounds... interesting! Well done on the new jeans though

I'm not allowed to buy any more clothes until May now, unless things start falling off, then I'll make an exception. I am hoping that I'll be a 16 for Australia in June!!! A proper 16 that is, jeans and everything!!!

I was looking in Oasis today, and suspect some the tops may fit now, but I resisted the temptation to try on. The jeans however were a dire necessity!!!

I hope Blackpool goes well, and the weather holds off!!! I'll think of you as I shiver in the changing rooms of Rammie baths at 11.30!!!

cool well done!!

I have the flu. I'm convinced its the first case of bird flu but everyone else is just telling me I'm a drama queen so I'll have to believe them.

I only made it into 2 days at uni last week and that was just out of desperation as the whole topic was taught in a week so if I didn't attend I'd fail big stylee. Have a mock exam on monday though that I've given up on. I called in sick off work because I feel terrible and went home to mum. mums are great aren't they and I still feel terrible and am lying on the sofa in PJs at 4pm grrr.

Diet has gone to **** but I'll be better when I'm better. Am now trying not to bite my nails. How come I have the motivation to give up meat but not to give up nail biting!!!!

Anyone got any tips - stop and grow doesn't work for me at all!!

Right, the race report is up on BerlinBlog, and the other thing is that I'm now over my 100 miles target for February at 102 miles (running miles, not counting walking/cooldown etc).

I've decided not to go out tonight, so I'm cooking lentils ( ) and drinking red wine instead. I'll have my celebratory meal another night when I can be bothered to get dressed...

WOW! I'm new to this site as of today. You're the first mail I saw. From what I can tell your looking to loose 180??? I don't know if I saw that right, but if so, you rock! Just for going on a walk! I can't make myself do that. I need to loose 70 to be where I was when I started thinking I was getting big. I would like to loose 90-100, but really pushing just for 70. If I get there, I'll see about the rest.

What motivated you to walk? As simple as that may sound.... duh! I cannot just put on clothes and shoes and start walking down the road - which is crazy. I don't know where you live, I live right on the water (ocean/bay) where I could have a beautiful walk. Birds, waves, etc.... I just can't make myself do it. I am very busy, I'm a single mother and have 2 jobs. But there is time that I have to walk, I just can't make myself do it.

What started your "kick-off" - What made you get going? You lost so much in the first week - was it just the movement from the walking?

I don't know how to read your response. Don't know if it will show up here or not? I JUST joined, you are the first thing I read?? I'm not even sure if I know how to find your response.... hopefully...I'll check in tomorrow. This site is going to make me do it!!!

Howdy all!

Kykaree, I LOVE that dream you had! It's so true! I would be doing my black belt at nine months preggers!!

I have decided to take a week off kickboxing, weights and running. I think I MAY have been overdoing it You think?? Anyway, so I spent 20 out of 24 hours asleep yesterday But during the awake time I managed to carbo-load with chocolate swiss roll and bread and brie and hot cross buns and cereal

Oh I took the day off work on Friday to "rest" I ended up walking the length of Oxford St twice, down Regent St to Hamleys, then up to Paperchase on Tottenham Court Road, down to DF's work in Fitzroy St, then along to King's Cross to go to the ROLLER DISCO, then walked back from King's Cross to Fitzroy St and got the bus home. Somehow, I don't think that counted as a rest day - 6.5 hours of walking and 1.5 hours roller skating! I did get some lovely stuff in Topshop though, a nice knitted grey dress that I will be wearing next weekend, since the size 12 trousers are still a little bit tight. I got a long grey jumper and some lovely shoes. I also got lots of little random things like ribbon, and paper and things to make wedding invites.

Saturday I struggled through my private kickboxing lesson, told my instructor I was having a week off and he thought it was a good idea since I train 5 hours a week and (he thinks) at home Anyway, it was all good. Then we went to the Barbican to suss it out for the big wedding party! We have to get a registrar and things then we can book. THEN DF took me to Lakeside because he had to do some work, so I got to shop in PRIMARK for hours I have some lovely things from there! Some in a size 12!!!!! Then we came home and watched Wallace and Gromit with garlic bread and pizza and bread and butter pudding and custard. Carbs anyone??

I am back at work now, with a snotty nose (my immune system is also taking the week off it seems!) and enough fruit to sink the Great Eastern
I'm just eating what I normally eat this week and not worrying about zig-zagging calories or getting too much protein or anything. Although I should make sure to get plenty of protein because I have a dodgy foot, which I think might have a boxer's fracture... Anyway, I'm just not stressing out about anything, I'm going to try and have a "normal" relationship with food this week Ah you shouldda seen me yesterday!

Oooh forgot to say well done YP you road runner you

Well done Ms Frus, it was such a funny dream!!! I woke up laughing, and tried to explain it to the dh!!!

I think a break sounds like a great idea. I'm sure you get enough incidental exercise to obviate some of the damage LOL. I had a lamb shank followed by cheesecake for lunch yesterday. Then went for a run. Note to self, don't exercise after Sunday lunch! It was ok, but not as comfortable as normal.

It's quite peaceful at work today. Everyone seems happy, even on the tram people are smiling, I think its a weather thing.
