Went for another run in the park this morning for about an hour. I did the route I did on Wednesday and ran more of it, plus I added a circuit round the lake (I usually just run past it and probably do 1/5 of it, today I did that, then a complete circuit then got back on the old route), and ran every step of that too. In total it was probably about 5 -6 miles, so I'm feeling really pleased with myself.

I might go for a swim in a bit to cool down a bit.

I hate the gym at weekends. It's in a hotel and there are always loads of hen parties in, just clogging up the pool and the jacuzzi. Not swimming or using it properly, just standing there, getting in the way and talking. Every time I swim at the weekend I swear I won't do it again! Still, I managed 20 minutes before giving up, and worked out that my run this morning was 5.5 miles, of which I probably walked less than half a mile.

Monday I did my gym program thing plus I walked to and from gym. Yesterday I did pilates and then 30mins cross trainer. I don't understand how everyone on earth has better stomach muscles than me. Must be a conspiracy.

not bad. I got a book too which has more exercises in it, so I'm watching the video occasionally to see specific moves demonstrated, but mainly working from the book as it's easier to do it at your pace and practice the bits you have difficulty with a bit more before moving on.

They had classes at the gym but it was £25 for 6 weeks so I decided to spend the money on a book and dvd and go it alone for a while at my own pace and hopefully for longer than 6 weeks.

I've found a fun new internet toy for my running.

This is the route I run at the moment round the lake and the park, it actually looks nicer if you look at the satellite image.

Except it was rainy and cold today so I did 6k inside on the treadmill instead. I will try to get back out there at the weekend though.

I also swam for about 20 or 25 minutes, and I've just done a bit of pilates.
