It is a white Corsa, diesel like yours - that was something that I was quite set on for the fuelcosts etc. It is M reg, not brand new but new enough for me to feel comfortable driving it.

The Private Message just said that they were interested in using some of my posts from the boards and was this ok.

not sure what is special about my post - lol. I probably said something really stupid - lol. Not sure which post it is either. I just assumed that everyone was asked. I e-mailed and said that I was happy for them to use my posts. If what I said was really private I wouldn't have posted it on a public forum - lol. I got a nice e-mail back to say thank you.

I bet you are getting really excited about coming home now aren't you? Laughs at you squeezing into a metro - lol. I uaed to have a boyfriend who was really into big american cars. He had a mustang. Not really my thing. I think a Corsa is big - lol.

Thanks for the birthday wishes girlies,
I have had a right lovely day I was spoiled with pressies and money for myself and taken out to lunch at a diner which is renowned (sp)? near to where we live. I didn't count any points today, just as well really as I ordered honey coated fried chicken which came in three HUGE pieces, chips, which were big HUGE thick ones and a salad and coleslaw. Add to this some of thier famous cream cheese bread that they put on the table for you to snack on while you wait for your order and I think if I even tried to add up the points I would have used the entire weeks worth
Needless to say, we all bought home boxes of food home as we couldn't eat most of it there, so we'll be noshing on it later while we veg in front of the telly and watch a film.
Dave ordered flounder and got two whacking great pieces with chips and such, Hannah ordered spaghetti and meatballs and I swear the meatballs must have been a quater pound of meat each and J ordered a hamburger which when he put the top bun on, he couldn't get his chops round so started nibbling all around the edge and then his fillings in the burger would start to slide out the opposite time. Quite amusing for us all to watch.
I didn't get any pms for that university thingy either, I notice now that it's been taken off of the threads though. I can imagine why people did get upset about it, not the fact that they were asked to have their excerpts taken down but the fact that they were told to respond to someone completely different if they didn't want to join in with it. I've not noticed any more posts from that Project person so maybe others responded in not so kind to her requests?
It is absolutely freezing here again today, we had a bit of a tease yesterday with 50 degree weather but today it is only 22 degrees and windy and colder tomorrow with a top temp of 10....
I don't drive a huge car over here, we had a van when we first moved over here and it was a Godsend with all the kids friends who I seemed to always take places, plus when I used to have the Brit girlies over and we'd go out, now I drive a sonata and I love it, it's zippy and good on gas and goes well round all the little roads out here in the boonies. Hubby has a truck and it's big, I have to drag myself up into it and drop out of it which he always gets a good chuckle out of at my benifit, it fits him quite nicely being six two! I don't really like driving it either and only do when it's absolutely neccessary as I'm convinced I'll bang into something and put a scratch or dent onto it and then he won't be a happy bunny and I'd hear about it forever....
Right, well I must go and just load the dishwasher cos the kitchen being untidy is driving me nuts and of course it doesn't do that to anyone else, not even on my birthday!
I'm back on track tomorrow..........with a vengence. Here's to a great week for everyone

Am sticking to plan by the skin of my teeth. Had a couple of ciders last night, had to finish up what was in the fridge you understand. Am sitting on 21.5 points, so that leaves me 3.5 until 6pm tonight. Worked before when I started counting points at tea time, so I'm trying it again. I know I am going to go over points, I am being realistic here. I amnot the type of person who can do with out food all day. My breakfast of actimel and shreddies will take me up to 24, so I need to go for a light lunch to keep the over target as low as poss.

Made some carrot and potato soup last night which was lovely there is a bowlful left so I'll have that for 0.5point and a large salad. Probably with some oatcakes. That will be 3.5 points over my daily allowance. Will I never learn. I should really be grateful it is only 3.5 points, most days over the last couple of months I would have used much more points than that, is too scary to think about really.

I am still trying to pull myself back onto the straight and narrow again. I will get there, it is just taking me a bit of time this time round.

I promise to cheer up Will go have some breakfast and start on my kitchen. I'm with you Chris it drives me scatty, no matter how tidy I leave it in the evening, by morning it is a complete bombsite again

Oh Dear I am shocking! Have I really not been here since January?

OK I feel a bit of a fraud because as I mentioned a while ago I had quit going to SW when our leader left. I am wqaiting for my friend to finish up her tockens for the class we both used to go to then I may join her at her new class. OK I am not really need her to hold my hand -afterall I joined on my own but we get on so well and go out together sometimes to the pub and to the theatre that it would be nice to see each other more regularly. I would like to go back to SW just not the nearest class. Anyway my friend said it has got too big (this may still be the post Christmas lot who will ease off soon).

Has anyone ben looking at Celebrity fit club with Vanessa Feltz, Lowrie Turner Freddie Starr et al? I actually rahter enjoyed it. Especially the bit when they "partnered" up for dancing salsa and Vanessa and James Wittaker (Journalist - the one Princess Di said looked like a tomoato as his face was so red!) were left to partner up with each other! The face Vanessa made was like a squeezed lemon and he looked thrilled as well! I really like Amy the American one and the black girl - they are so girly girly as Vanessa and Lowri who are too concerned with their looks (ok they all want to be slimmer etc but any more hair flicking from Ms Feltz and I am going to boot her up her ample rump! Plus Lowri as always a "trolley DOlly type".

I love Amy and Alison on Fit Club. I like Amys attitude that she thinks she's gorg already but needs to lose for health reasons

Yep that is the two I mean. Alison is so bubbly and bouncey and Amy has such a positive attitude. No wonder they were snapped up quick for a dance! I love Amy's style too.

Yo!!!!! Peacock, how nice to see you back again!
I have been watching CFC, too, but I am sorry I cannot stand Freddie, and John is little better. I love Amy and Alison. They are so positive and seem to join in with all the challenges Mr. Harvey Waldrun 1Vth sets them. I loved the water polo! Amy just kept knocking those balls in the net, she was so tall and poor Freddie was the net-keeper. One thing I don't understand though, is why Dr. Adam says you are a failure if you lose too much weight during one week? If someone loses more than their than goal loss for the week, he goes mad!!! I would be over the moon if I lost 4, 5, or 6 lbs in one week. At the moment I would be thrilled to lose 1 or 2lb, but I won't go down that path just now!!
Honey-coated fried chicken, Chris? Yum Yum Yum !!!!

Hi Teel!

No I cannot stand Freddie either.

I understand what the Dr meant by saying failure but he shouldn't say that. I can understand how "ickle girly" Lowrie got upset. It is very wrong to talk about failure anyway when dieting. I know they try to discourage a huge weight loss (we know to our cost it goes back on) but he could have been nicer about it. I think I would have been grizzling (mind you I would have wet myself if Harvey yelled at me!!). There will always be some that have big losses anyway.

On a slightly different topic, I watched that SAS thing last night. I enjoy watching those sorts of things but no way would I ever be superfit enough to take part. Anyway they don't take grizzly crybaby girlies in the SAS. If Eddie Stone asked me nicely to walk a couple of miles across the desert - as long as there were frequent tea/coffee/toilet/water/ice lolly/rest stops I would be fine. Anyway they should use camels to get about!!!!

No honest to god I could not cope but I do admire those who have done. I was especially amazed at the one on Chris Ryan, the guy who escaped capture in Iraq. Bloody amazing guy. I bet he could walk up two flight of stairs without puffing and minus those huge backpacks!!

I watched the CFC with the Salsa but it is the only one that I have seen in this series. I agree Alison and Amy are my faves.

I also happened to see some new thing on Channel 5 last night (well I assume it is new - I don't normally watch C5) called Back to Reality or something. It has got loads of wannabes from various reality TV shows. Rick Waller was on ther (I believe he was on the last CFC) he has had his hair braided and it looks awful.

Have been pretty good today on my food. I had a bowl of cereal for breakfast, leek and potato soup and a jacket potato with low fat spread for lunch. For tea I have beans on M&S count on us toast and another slice with a dry fried egg. I followed this with a mini hot cross bun.

I am not sure how many points are in this as I have lost my calculator. I have cut up loads of mushrooms to have for my breakfast at work tomorrow with butter buds - micowaved - yummee. I have also cut up 3 tomatoes, half an onion and half a cucumber into little bit and chucked it into my salad shaker for my lunch and I have a carton of Spinach and Nutmeg soup to go with it. I get a subsistance allowance tomorrow as I work late. I get £9.48 but Shane usually spends that at the Chinese on the way home after picking me up - lol.

I am swimming before work tomorrow morning and then I have an hours walk and yoga at lunchtime.

I have resisted the reality show thing. That is one "celebrity bridge too far"!

Umm I am on the soups myself although I have found out the ones I like are rather "synful". I do love Marks butternut squash tho and Covent Garden's sweetcorn chowder sweet but tangy like bbq. Yum!

the Soup I have tomorrow is Covent gardens. I love their soups. I am a new convert. Only discovered them a few weeks back but I am hooked now. The only one I didn't like was the butternut squash and apricot.
