Weekly Weigh In - 11

Thought I'd start a new thread from March - the other one is getting very long and has been running for ages

Have copied across the losses from the last week, so no one gets the chance to forget how wonderful we all are

Arwen = -3lbs
BritinNj = -2lbs
Cat90 = -4lb
Leigh = -1lbs
Madame Dotty = -1lbs
MelissaA = 0lbs
Mini Gem = -10lbs
Peacock = +2lbs
Posy = +3lbs
Sal = -2lbs

Giving us a fortnightly loss of 17lbs.

Which gives us a loss for the wee bit of 2003 we have had, of 88.5lbs , 6 stone 4.5lbs

BritinNJ 03-03-2003 04:15 PM

Bu88er, just wrote in number ten and then saw this one...... never mind, well done to all I say again. :)

Peacock 03-04-2003 09:46 AM

Well, despite my worries I am down one pound! That means I am now 13st 3lb. The lightest I have been since I joined SW is 13st 2lb so I an quite chuffed with that. However, there is plenty more to lose!

Of course the pancakes etc I had may not "go on" until next Monday!!!

cat90 03-04-2003 12:23 PM

:cp: congrats Peacock :D

Peacock 03-04-2003 12:31 PM

Thanks! But get ready to commiserate with me next week as perhaps the pancakes haven't worked their evil yet!!!!

I gues everyone else is having theirs tonight?

Smiling Sal 03-04-2003 05:19 PM

Well done Peacock - yes I had pancakes with raisins, sugar and lemon juice tonight - delicious yum yum yum

BritinNJ 03-05-2003 07:42 PM

Well done Peacock. I have stayed the same this week, I'm sure I did gain from the evil jely beans last week but since being on track again since Saturday have prob lost it again. Hope to see a loss next week though. I seem to have plateaued here....mind you it's cos I keep being bad, I know this if the truth be known :)

Mini Gem 03-06-2003 08:38 AM

Been busy so I've not been on much. When I weighed in on Tuesday I had a gain of 4lbs. I was very happy with this because, remembering my couldn't-really-be-true loss of 10lbs in one week a fortnight ago, I've lost 2lb a week for 3 weeks.

I've now lost 2 stone 5, so I'm well on my way to really earning my 2 and a half stone award, and I've lost about a third of what I'm hoping to lose in total.

I'm back down to the kind of weight I was when I moved to Scotland in 2000, soon (fingers crossed) I'll be slimmer than my boyfriend has ever seen me! :)

leigh-r 03-06-2003 12:01 PM

Pound on this week. That's me yo yoing with this pound for the last few weeks, it just doesn't wanna stay off.

Arwen 03-06-2003 03:35 PM

Well done Peacock.

Leigh, hopefully that 1lb will be gone again by next weigh in.

Mini Gem -10lb would have been great but -6lb is still good and your 10lb loss did seem a bit too good to be true!

I've lost 1lb this week. I'm a bit disappointed with this but I knows its my own fault as I've had a real problem staying on track this week, which wasn't helped by having 2 pancakes with banana, vanilla icecream and maple syrup on Tuesday night! With weigh-in on Wednesday!

I've dropped to 24 points now as I'm 15.12 so hopefully next weeks loss with be quite good.

Yesterday I decided I was going on a major binge and no-one was going to stop me: started with milky coffee (sugar and baileys in it so 6 points) and 4 penguin bars at 3 points each but then I suddenly lost momentum and ended up going to bed only about 6 points over. Not good but a **** of a lot better than it could have been! I was actually pleased as I feel the experience has shown that I do want to lost this weight and I have more will-power than I used to have.:)

Good luck to everyone still to weigh-in.

MelissaA 03-06-2003 06:07 PM

0 lost this week...so upset...Totally my screw up though...I found out that the coffees I had been drinking everyday this week contained 15 sins each!!! Yikes, damn Starbucks!!!

Next week will be better, I have learned my lesson...I want to lose four pounds in the next two weeks before my wedding...:)

BritinNJ 03-06-2003 08:14 PM

There's starbucks in England now? Wow, I really do need to come home. I had a coffe from there a few weeks back and it cost an absolute fortune. I was disgusted at their prices, but obviously other people are far richer than me cos they didn't seem to bat an eye...LOL

Peacock 03-07-2003 06:48 AM

The coffe is expensive here too but I suppose if you have an occasional one as a treat.... Before I went to see Chicago I had a caramel one - it wass well sickly but just what I needed! God know how many sins!

Smiling Sal 03-08-2003 06:37 AM

I hate coffee even the smell of a very milky turns my stomach, have been like this since I had Sean 8 years ago.

A Starbucks would be the worst place on earth I could think of visiting

MadamDotty 03-08-2003 08:41 AM

Hi all, had a good week, I've been really good and stuck rigidly to my diet - lost 2lb, I hoped it would be more, but there you go, it's still a good loss. I need to up my exercise a bit more I think that would help, but otherwise I have to accept I'll only lose 1-2 lb a week, which I know is the way to go, but you can't help but wish for 3-4lbs per week when you've just been a saint all week now can you?? :)

All the best everyone

MelissaA 03-08-2003 11:54 AM

Basically I go to Starbucks when I am homesick...with my wedding coming up and not having many people from the states able to come Starbucks has seen a lot of me lately...LOL

cat90 03-08-2003 01:40 PM

Congrats Madame Dotty :cp:
Carol..i hate coffee too :lol: i won't even eat coffee cream chocolates :eek: :p

leigh-r 03-09-2003 11:05 AM

I am a lot happier now. Since I did my last measurements in January I have lost a further 6.5inches. That makes up for me only having lost 4lb since the lsat measurements were taken.

BritinNJ 03-09-2003 05:18 PM

Well done Madam Dotty and Leigh-r. Keep up the good work. I am trying to be an angel today , but just noshed on some peanuts without even thinking about what I was doing, don't really know how many I ate either. I'll just be careful with dinner tonight and hope I've not done too much damage. Here's to a good week for all :)

Posy 03-10-2003 02:51 AM

Well done to the losers...it still seems strange not posting a weigh in report, but that will change next week :)
Noone said I had to stay away from the tape measure tho did they :) wish I had though, my measurements haven't changed and I have to admit I was very disappointed with that.
Never mind, just keep on going thats my motto :)

Well it didn't turn out to be too difficult to keep my mind off not being weighed on saturday. My new wardrobes arrived at 10.30am. As we are short of room, we couldn't empty the old one and the other cupboards that were in the places the new wardrobes were going until they arrived, because we just wouldn't have had anywhere to put everything. When they arrived we emptied everything and then piled it high on the bed. Once they were all in place I got ruthless and tried on everything before it got put into the new wardrobes...if it was too big it was binned. By the time I was finished it was almost 4.30pm and time to get ready for the Donny Osmond concert.
That was totally amazing...he was brilliant. There was a guy sat at the side of me that had brought his wife, he quite obviously did not want to be there and he sat with his arms and legs crossed and said he wouldn't sing, he wouldn't dance and he wouldn't clap, by half way through the concert he had done all three and admitted at the end he had thoroughly enjoyed it, but he wasn't going to admit it to his mates :)

Now it is monday morning again already and time to head off to work...wish it was saturday evening again :)

Ali :wave:

cat90 03-10-2003 02:09 PM

Ali what a great outlook on life you have :D and the visual of the Donny Osmond hating husband was hilarious :lol:

Peacock 03-11-2003 07:29 AM

Me not happy (pouting and stamping foot). Felt lousy because star week (period) on Wednesday and never feel like eating much when like that. Despite feeling really c**p and not eating much at all I mamaged to put on one blasted pound! Usually I can take it if I have put on, especially if I know I have been naughty but this was just too much!!!

End of rant (I will sit and sulk in a darkened corner until I am ready to face the public again!).

MelissaA 03-11-2003 01:10 PM

Big Hugs Peacock!!! I can definately relate!!!

BritinNJ 03-11-2003 09:33 PM

It's ok Peacock, happens to us all at one point or another. Chin up luvey, you'll show a loss next week I'm sure. {{{{Hugs}}}}}

cat90 03-12-2003 12:47 AM

:cp: Carol..13st something next week eh? are you practising? :D

BritinNJ 03-12-2003 07:13 AM

Stayed the same. There WILL be a loss next week. I must be good!!! Keep me on the straight and narrow please ladies, you don't know how much you've all helped so far, I'd not have got as far as I have without the support.
Thanks.

leigh-r 03-12-2003 08:19 AM

Hopefully by next weeks weigh-in I will be losing again, or at least not putting anything on. Hubby starts work tomorrow so I will have more restraint over what I eat as I will be spending more time at home. This weeks weigh-in not until tomorrow, but I haven't exactly been an angel this week, so am not expecting too much.

leigh-r 03-13-2003 03:40 AM

Weighed in this morning. This pesky pound. This week my pesky pound is OFF. Not bad to say that I have had three Chinese's since my weigh-in last week. So from today I am gonna be good (ok I will try to be good). Hubby is off to work so time for me to spring clean the house.

MelissaA 03-13-2003 03:47 PM

WoooHoooo!! Just come home from my SW meeting and I had a loss of 2 1/2 pounds...Yippeeee!!! If I can lose another 1 1/2 I will be at a stone loss since starting SW!!! My wedding is a week from Saturday so hopefully I can get the whole stone in before than...
:)

cat90 03-15-2003 11:54 AM

Melissa :bravo: well done girl..how long did it take you to lose that weight? you have'nt been doing SW for long have you? sorry i get confused sometimes with who is following what plan :dizzy:
Ooops..Carol..i thought your weight was 14st-2.5lbs :spin: thats why i said 13st something next week..never mind..will be in a few short weeks :D

MelissaA 03-15-2003 12:01 PM

I started slimming world January 16 2003...I am really pleased with the program!!! I have alot of weight to lose and sometimes 2 pounds seems like such a drop in a big bucket...But, I am determined and hopefully this will be it and I will finally do it!!
:dizzy:

Smiling Sal 03-15-2003 12:46 PM

Well done Melissa - and everyone else

Posy 03-16-2003 05:27 AM

Well done everyone...well I am back on the scales again after the enforced break.
I was really aprehensive about getting on the scales again . The last time I weighed I had just increased my calories to 1250 a day and I had gained 3lbs and was back up to 164lbs.....I was worried because if I had gained any more I wouldn't be sure if it was the increase in calories or if it was the after effects of TOM....Well the scales said a loss of 1lb, down to 163lbs....This is quite obvioulsy the reason the doctor told me I had to ignore the scales for the past couple of weeks and start again from scratch from this week.....I am feeling pretty good about actually seeing a loss from the last time I got weighed....I think that is probably a good sign that increasing my calories hasn't caused me to gain weight, if it had I would not be showing a loss from the last time I was weighed...so now it is all ahead from here, carrying on at 1250 calories a day and we will see what happens next week.

Ali :wave:

Smiling Sal 03-17-2003 04:20 PM

Stayed the same, don't really deserve that as I haven't been putting as much effort in since Thursday night and the opening of the wine bottle.

This week I am determined to eat like an angel and have a postive loss next week

Smiling Sal 03-17-2003 04:24 PM

And the scores on the doors for this week are

BritinNj = 0lbs
Leigh = -1lbs
MelissaA = -2.5lbs
Peacock = +1lbs
Posy = -1lbs
Sal = 0lbs

Giving us a loss of 3.5lbs .

Which gives us a total loss so far, of 93.5lbs , 6 stone 9.5lbs

Baby steps Baby steps Baby steps
