Nice one Chris Well done.

cat90 06-18-2003 05:53 PM

Good for you Chris :cp: you deserve it! I'll be glad when i join you on a losing streak

leigh-r 06-19-2003 08:28 AM

I gained this week. Not that I was surprised. But I was surprised at how little I had gained. Just 0.5lb on. But it's not so bad when you expect it.

Smiling Sal 06-19-2003 03:25 PM

Well done Chris and never mind Leigh, it happens to all of us

So sorry to hear of your job loss, Leigh-r, hope life is reasonably okay though.
Hellos and how-you-doin to everyone, hope you have had a good week. Mine has sort of been okay but nothing special. My excuse is it was my birthday on Monday......! I think part of my problem is it gets so hot here that I tend to eat late and then have something highly unplanned that I can just snatch out of the fridge, like a mars bar or something equally unhelpful to my quest.
Have a lovely weekend, everyone.

Smiling Sal 06-21-2003 06:15 AM

Whats a Mars Bar doing in your fridge then? I don't particulary like mars bars, but if it had been a kit kat would have been eaten long before it reached the fridge.

I am an angel, my fridge is full of healthy and wholesome foods like, yogurt, salad, lite spreader cheese, wholemeal rolls, strawberries, blueberries and cheese and more cheese and chocolate mousse (all full fat) Think my halo has slipped :(

Am not expecting a fantasticv weigh in on Monday, have been off plan for 36 hours. Is amazing how much you can eat and drink in a short time.

teel 06-21-2003 08:40 AM

Ooops, let the cat out of the bag there, rather!!!

Being a diabetic reliant on insulin, I have the odd session of hypoglycaemia, and usually keep a box in the fridge with a bag of fun size mars bars and one of fun size snickers for dealing with such an emergency.... trouble is, they are so quick and easy to find, unwrap and eat in 5 seconds, that the emergency usage bit seems to have slipped from the original sentance, he he he!!!  :o :s:

peacock 2 06-21-2003 09:19 AM

So the mars bar police are out and about are they? Better not tell them about the king size bars Ihave been eating then (I guess they already know!)

Smiling Sal 06-21-2003 09:34 AM

Its the cheese police I need is just too tempting :(

cat90 06-21-2003 01:08 PM

Now if the Coors Light and Budweiser police could come out please then i would have this thing wrapped

BritinNJ 06-21-2003 11:24 PM

Ok if the police are watching us this weekend, I'll admit to eating a chocolate thunder from down uner this evening. We went out to dinner at Outback steak house and I succombed to some blooming onion, salad wit not low fat dressing and although my main meal was healthy enough, I only managed a few bits of bbq chicken and very succulent it was too..I will admit to saving the room for the Choc thunder.....but....it's all over now and I enjoyed every sweet mouthful and will now go into a site and find out how many points I have gorged on......will be an absolute angel again tomorrow though :)

leigh-r 06-22-2003 05:47 AM

Must be because the diet police are out that I have managed to get back on track this week. Either that or someone had hidden all the forbidden foods!! lol

peacock 2 06-22-2003 08:05 AM

Well I enjoyed myself at my Boss's BBQ. He had got some quorn stuff for me and a fellow veggie (sausages etc) and some cheese and veg kebabs which were very nice. I also had to (would have been rude not to) have some black forest gateau. My Boss is German and they have a German baker right near where they live. I also downed some margueritas and a slug of a Hungarian liquer which tasted like a stonger version (43% proof) of Benedictine! For someone that rarely drinks.... But, apart from the cheese cubes in the kebabs I didn't help myself to the cheeseboard when it was handed round, so serious "brownie points" there I think. However, unfortunately the coke I drank was not of the diet variety. Ah well, tomorrow's another day - and I get weighed! AAGH!

teel 06-23-2003 10:58 AM

Ho ho ho!!

Been to weigh on the Boots scales today....weight now stands at...11st 8lb...so list looks like this

BritinNJ 06-23-2003 05:34 PM

teel 06-24-2003 06:23 AM

:judge: mmmn! best I not do that TOO often.

But as for KING SIZE!!!

Breakfast fell in to the very sensible range today, rather late but black coffee with sweetener, one banana and two digestive biscuits.....should weigh less tonight, I'm off to have my hair cut

BritinNJ 06-25-2003 07:05 AM

Hi, stayed the same this week, not too bad considering my 50 something point meal at Outback over the weekend, so am still a happy bunny :)
Hope everyone who yet has to weigh in does well this week too, and well done to any losers already.
Gonna be a scorcher here today so I reckon I might sweat a few pounds off today...every little helps I say.

cat90 06-25-2003 12:31 PM

Smiling Sal 07-01-2003 03:59 PM

Lost another 2lbs this week, am down to 14 stone 16.5lbs - am making progress

BritinNJ 07-01-2003 11:15 PM

Well done Carol, good on yer girl. You can do it. No more 15 stone something for you. Here's hoping for a loss tomorrow morning for me too.keep everything crossed please girls.

leigh-r 07-02-2003 04:17 AM

Well done Carol.
I am hoping the scales will be kind to me tomorrow morning.

BritinNJ 07-02-2003 11:15 AM

Hey,. hey, hey.........one happy thinner bunny here in Nj today, the scales showed a two pound loss....am totally surprised really as I succombed to quite a lot of chocolate cream pie since Saturday evening....have been very good with the exercise though, so maybe it counteracted the sweet stodgy stuff :) Good luck to everyone else who still has to weigh in this week.

cat90 07-02-2003 01:56 PM

Congratulations Chris and Carol :cp:

teel 07-02-2003 04:42 PM

Yey!!!! Well done on all the weight losses!!
But Carol, there are only 14 lbs in one stone, how did your scales come up with 14st 16 and 1/2 lbs?! :?: i think your scales have been on the rum and coke!!!

I am at this moment trying to decide whether I am going to get weighed tomorrow whilst I am in town in the vicinity of Boots...I usually find that if I am actually feeling lighter and am sure the scales have gone in the right direction....I find entirely the opposite has happened....and then I get all cross and end up eating everything that I know darned well I shouldn't!!!!!

I will let you know what I decided when I next get to the computer before everybody else.!!!

Night night all

cat90 07-02-2003 07:39 PM

 yeh..Carol gained an extra 1 while posting her weight but i did notice that it was correct at the bottom of her post though..did you Teel? :s:  my scale is a *ugger but even it knows how many pounds are in a stone ;) it still knows how to get on the wrong side of me though :(

peacock 2 07-03-2003 05:21 AM

Sorry not posted before but couldn't get into site-well I could then it just sat there and I could not get in. Well I have put on half a pound but I know why as I haven't been very good.

I am looking forward to spending August with my family (mum will keep me on the straight and narrow, but dad won't as he is the "pringle king!"

Congrats to all the "losers"

leigh-r 07-03-2003 09:22 AM

Half a pound on this week. And I have been good as well.

BritinNJ 07-03-2003 10:28 AM

Lost three point seven five inches this month at Curves. It's all going away, slowly but surely...and I aim to keep it that way (she says with a fourth of July BBQ planned for tomorrow) :)

cat90 07-03-2003 01:45 PM

Hey Chris..thats great :cp: if the weather co-operates i'll be watching the 4th July fireworks from here..we are facing Port Angeles and we can see the fireworks on a clear night :D just wish i was going to a b-b-q as well :s:

Smiling Sal 07-04-2003 08:37 AM

enjoy the barbarque Chris and the fireworks Cathy, well done to everyone on there losses and the eagle eyed Teel spotting my deliberate mistake

BritinNJ 07-04-2003 11:50 AM

Am all set for eating and partying as the day goes on :) Have cleaned up the yard (yes it is indeed a yard, not a garden here, it's only as big as a pocket hankie) and it's looking pretty spiffy. Potato salad and coleslaw is all made, meat is marinating and drinks are in the cooler.
The weather is perfect, hot, hot, HOT!!! just the way I like it.
Have a great day everyone, Happy 4th to all who celebrate it.
