Ho ho!Good one, cat90, my brain had obviously given up working by the time it read the bottom line that passed me straight by!

peacock 2 07-08-2003 08:38 AM

Two and a half pounds off this week. Yippeee! Unexpected (although I had eaten a lot of salads, along with chocolate, crisps and chips...!)

cat90 07-08-2003 01:26 PM

Yaaayy for Peacock :cp: ;)

BritinNJ 07-08-2003 04:45 PM

Well done peacock.......I like the part about losing while eating choc, crisp and chips......sounds like a good plan to me :)

BritinNJ 07-09-2003 08:50 PM

Stayed the same again this week, not really surprised as I had scrummy loaded with calories food over the 4th. Today I am over points too, gave myself a day off. Had a lovely hoagie down the beach this afternoon after work, seafood filling and it was delish and after frollicking in the sea, and being blown about by high winds later in the afternoon, went to a diner and had a large slab of carrot cake, it was too delish for words...really enjoyed eating rather naughtily though but will be right back on plan tomorrow :)

leigh-r 07-10-2003 06:03 AM

Hello to one and all.
I have had a week off from ww.
Today I went to get weighed in as usual.
And...I got a shock...I soon jumped off them scales in disbelief. I had lost weight. I have moved into the next stone as well. I have lost 3.5lbs on my week off!!
Hubby has booked us a holiday to Bulgaria in June 2004, so I have 47 wks to lose some more weight. Then he is going to buy me some new clothes for me holiday, and possibly a bikini or two!!

cat90 07-11-2003 03:14 PM

:cp: great job leigh-r :bravo:

teel 07-11-2003 05:53 PM

Oh well done to everyone on the losing and maintaining track right now!!:)

I got weighed this week on the usual scales, and was a bit disappointed 'cos my body felt as if it were lighter so I was quite excited. In the event, though, my last weigh said 73.4kg, and this time it was 73.8kg.:( Humph!!!:nono: :nono: :drill: :drill:

Oh well, it's another week in two days time....;)

leigh-r 07-11-2003 07:20 PM

How do I convert lbs into kgs??? As in order to work out your BMI you need your weight in kgs, but ww weigh me in pounds!!

Smiling Sal 07-12-2003 04:01 AM

Well done to Leigh and peacock and everybody else who said the same or was disappointed, as Teel said it is nearly a new week.

I lost half a pound, was very surprised I had not stuck to plan last week at all - was a very pleasant surprise.

No weigh in this week will be at mum and dads caravan. Am on holiday froom work for 3 whole weeks :)

Leugh - Sarah used to have a really good BMI calculator site, will see if I can track it down for you

Smiling Sal 07-12-2003 04:14 AM

Leigh heres a site with BMI in pounds

http://nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bmicalc.htm

leigh-r 07-12-2003 07:52 AM

Thank you Carol that's much easier for me.

BritinNJ 07-16-2003 09:36 PM

DOn't know how on earth I managed it but I have lost one pound this week, and that was with four days off off plan!! Am well chuffed though but realise I can't do this constantly cos it won't just work.
Am feeling a bit under the weather today though :( Woke up with a sore throat and now am sneezing and feel all clogged up in the head, have taken some meds and won't be long before I hit the sack....
Hope you all do ok with your weigh in's and have a good week girls.

cat90 07-17-2003 12:54 PM

Well Done Chris :cp: you've probably revved up your metabolism with all the exercise ;) Get Well Soon :D

leigh-r 07-18-2003 09:00 AM

No weigh-in for me this week as I was on an all day course follwed by a shift at work. Although I think it is safe to say that I will have gained as TOM arrived this week.

Smiling Sal 07-21-2003 11:42 AM

Will be weighing in shortly. Will be a gain after my week away, and am going away again on Friday, but I will go and have a reality check regardless.

Smiling Sal 07-22-2003 05:51 AM

OK I went last night, I weighed and I contemplated. Gained 2.5lbs . :^:

I do not want to go back in a fortnight after Aviemore and gain another 2.5lbs .

I know exactly where the weight has come from, wine . OK I like it, it likes me, but it has to go. Will be a challenge. Last night me and ray drank a couple of bottles, we are on holiday :) but that will be even more of it sticking to my hips. :sumo:

I emailed Gail, :judge: very nice WW lady. She compared our weight loss journeys last night to a bike ride and over the last couple of months I have definately been on the scenic route my weight has gone no where since the middle of May . Well it has, it's gone up and then back down and up again :(

But I do see this year as a good thing, previously I would just have given everything up and gone back to my old ways. At least this year I am still thinking about it :sunny: :sunny

As I see it I have a choice to make, either I drink every single night and go back to WW in a fortnight and have another gain and be back up to 14stone 10 or something like that or I choose to drink only a little, I move this butt some more :drill: and I go back with a stay the same or even a small loss. :dancer:

as they say the choice is mine

leigh-r 07-24-2003 10:26 AM

2.5lbs off this week!
Congrats to fellow losers and to those who haven't think how far you have come already

BritinNJ 07-24-2003 10:37 PM

Congrats Leigh-R, well done for you. My scales showed a three pound loss this week, and I couldn't believe it, but I think it's cos I've been feeling rather under the weather with a rather nasty summer cold that just won't go away. So although I ate quite badly over last weekend, I've made up for it during the week and had very low point days due to no appitite.

Smiling Sal 07-25-2003 06:14 AM

Well done Leigh and Chris

peacock 2 07-29-2003 04:19 AM

Oh dear. Not weighed since 7/7/03 and got weighed last night. 6 1/2 pounds on! I am one pond short of starting weight now!!!

I decided to take myself in hand and buy a load of fruit and salad veg. I have made up a load of salad and what happens? An Asian lady at work brings in some tasty lentil bhajis!! Well, I can have one......!

I get weighed next week then am off for a break until 1st September so hope to report some better news soon!

leigh-r 07-29-2003 06:37 AM

I think this thursday will see me gaining as I haven't quite been an angel.

cat90 07-29-2003 04:23 PM

Never mind leigh-r theres always next week..look at how well you've done  Great Job!! :bravo:

Well Done Chris :cp:

Peacock at least it was a lentil bhaji ;)

BritinNJ 07-30-2003 11:28 PM

Oh Dear, have had my first gain since starting this plan at New Years, four pounds!!!!! AGH!
My friend is over from England right now, I have a fridge full of cadburys, happy happy bunny. Am really enjoying having them here, they arrived yesterday, we've not seen each other since the millenium celebrations when I went home.
So......you might not hear from me for a few weeks but hopefully, if I don't maintain cos of the chocolate, hopefully there'll not be another gain.
Have a great week everyone and good luck with the weight losses.

cat90 07-31-2003 07:35 AM

Hmmm :chin: your first gain in SEVEN MONTHS..i think we can overlook it this time Chris  :s:

Yo-Yo Dee 07-31-2003 05:01 PM

View it as a holiday gain seeing as you've got friends over on holiday Chris.

Today is weighing in day (Thursday) and I've lost another 3lbs!!! That's a total loss of 19lbs with Slimming World which takes me to 13.8 (187 pounds) nearly at my 10% goal. The exercising is helping me remain positive, I know it's not for everyone but it helps me and I don't care what other people think I look like in the gym I ain't buying anything new yet!

Have you measured yourself lately?

Going for my 10% this week

Yo-Yo Dee
Starting weight with Slimming World 14.11
weight loss to date 19lbs
weigh in today 31/7/03 13.8
10% weight loss is 13.6 (fingers crossed!)

cat90 08-01-2003 03:10 PM

Well Done Dee :bravo: thats super!

Yo-Yo Dee 08-01-2003 03:54 PM

Cheers Cathy - apparently we're to have a return to the 80's next week - whoo hoo!!! I shall put the neighbours off their barbeques

Regards

Dee

leigh-r 08-02-2003 07:28 AM

2lbs on for me this week. I guess I can't complain as I have had the flu and so my eating habits have gone to pot. Here's to a better weigh-in next week.

cat90 08-02-2003 10:05 AM

Flu? in August? i don't want it  and i got it from my S-I-L the last time i was in England in 2001 :( i will be avoiding sniffling people like the plague  hope you're better now :D you'll do it next week ;)

Smiling Sal 08-02-2003 12:44 PM

Have no loss to add, Well done to everyone who has lost. We are amazing, really we are.

BritinNJ 08-03-2003 10:40 AM

Yes girls, I am putting my gain this past week to a 'holiday gain' but I am trying to be soooo good while my friend is here. She says I can't lame the gain on her though cos she's not stuffing the food down my throat, I manage that all by myself. I think part of it was that I didn't get to Curves all week at all, but I was a very good bunny yesterday and went at the crack of dawn and felt wonderful for doing so. I shall be back to my normal routine going this week though, cos there's no way I want to see another gain this week....don't want flu either, hope you feel better soon Leigh-R.

leigh-r 08-04-2003 04:30 AM

Yep flu in august. My hubby started with it and has passed it on to as many people as possible. I thought I was getting over it but it's come back with a vengenance.
Today is day one of my fresh start to kick this diet back into touch. See you all next week with my results.

peacock 2 08-05-2003 04:58 AM

Yes! Yes! Yes! No I am not eating a magnum or a lentil bhaji!

I am very pleased (nay shocked!) to be able to say that I have lost 1 1/2 pounds! Yipee!

Poor Leigh-r fancy having flu in August! (k I know you didn't fancy it!. I always think it is worse to have it in the warmer months! Hope you are ok v soon!

Smiling Sal 08-05-2003 08:26 AM

ell done to Peacock. I gained a pound, am over the moon that that was it all it was. Have been an angel since Sunday, long may I stay like this. :)

Yo-Yo Dee 08-07-2003 03:43 PM

Well girls I've been to my weekly weigh-in and YES I'VE DONE IT. I've achieved my 10% weight loss which means I've lost 1stone 5lbs = 19lbs. that's one milestone I've tried really hard in the past to accomplish but I'm there and boy am I chuffed (pleased to you lasses over in the USA or anywhere outside the North of England!!!)

Right I'm off to measure myself.

The local sports centre has just had a complete refurbishment and it's superb so I'm off to give it a whirl tomorrow morning.

Hope you all get good results.

Love to you all :grouphug:

Yo-yo Dee

teel 08-09-2003 08:44 AM

Hot hot hot!!!!Too hot for lttle old me here in Suffolk, my Westie is all puffed out too..then in the evening it gets cooler and she wants to play football. Thank goodness she can be a whole team all by herself:lol:
I am not sure how I am getting on with my weightloss challenge, sometimes I feel like I am a host of angels..   then I step on the scales, haven't lost any weight and immediately all the  turn in to

Anyway, well done yo yo dee for getting your 10% goal. That is a great feeling, and well done to everyone else focussing on a number to reach:dancer:

I am living in stress avenue right now! My tribunal is actually happening on the 18th Aug. I feel like I am preparing for a court appearance, there are letters to copy and send to my legal representative , I have written some important points on blank postcards 'cos I know I will get so flustered I shall forget everything...I feel under so much pressure I could burst. I think I need a bit of stress relief :rollpin: :sumo: :rollpin: pity I don't make bread...it would probably rise to the ceiling!!

Poor old leigh-r, having to cope with the flu in this hot weather..get well soon.
BritinNJ....I think you have done so extremely well in the time you have lost weight....if you rap your knuckles once more 'cos you have put on a few pounds for THE FIRST TIME IN SEVEN MONTHS, I will come and "sort you out!!! ( well, I'll send my brother!!!):sumo: :sumo:
Peacock, I've never tried a lentil bhagi.....is it scrummy:hun:
