Thumbs up

I had another sleepless night.I feel like a mach truck ran over me.Too much brain strain
We did our walk again last night. My husband is doing 8 laps to my 3 but he's a skinny thing. He needs to lose about 10#.Not much compared to 100+ for me. But he needs to do it to keep his heart strong.I am slowly doing better.Still hate doing it but always glad I did afterwards. My 8 year old grand-daughter walked with me again last night. She did much better than me.She was still full of pep when we finished.I was pooped!!
I am looking forward to our SRD in April. We only have 5 going which is really a shame. This will be my 3rd one and I enjoy going.Hopefully my new job won't mess it up for me.
Can't remember who it is that just got new job 6to3.Sorry hubby giving you a hard time.Men don't always look at things like women do.Maybe after he gets use to idea he will be nicer about it.
Well hope everyone has a good day.

Goodmorning Eleni,

Glad to hear that you are still walking. I to think that distance at this point is better then the speed. For you you are training basically for this walk coming up and it is a certain amount of distance. So I would concentrate on the distance. Remember it isn't how fast you go. It is that you make it over the finish line. Either way you are a winner for just entering and trying. I am sure you will have a loss at weigh in. You are doing great. When I was walking on my treadmill (when I had it) I was only walking at the rate of 2.5 also. I did that for 30 mins and that got me real tired. You have to remember that the longer you go the better it is for your heart because you are getting up to an aerobic rate even if you aren't going that fast. Because your body is still getting used to it. So even though you are going slow you are still benefiting from it. keep up the good work. Way to go. You are going to do good in this walk coming up.

Dimples,

Glad to see that you are still around. I hope you hear soon about your husbands job. If he doesn't get it are you still going to sell your house? Where are you going to move to? I hope you had a good meeting last night.

Summer,

How is your daughter doing? Is she getting any better today? I hope so. I will keep her in my prayers. Remember to take care of you also. You are the only one that can do that. If you aren't well then you won't be any good to help your daughter. Don't forget to exercise. Take time out for you. It isn't much time and you deserve a break also. It will help relieve some of the stress for you also. Don't turn to food. Turn to richard.LOL
Hope you have a good day.

Penny,

That is great about your neice. I love babies. I would like one more myself, but I am pretty sure my husband is done. He has 3 kids from his first marriage so megan makes #3 for him. Are you still on track? I am sure you are. You will do well for weigh in.
The reason you shouldn't weigh yourself everyday is because you go up and down everyday and that tends to get some people depressed. When they see a gain and they have been doing good on plan they get discouraged and then go off plan. So that is why we should only weigh ourselves once a week so that we can see results and not get discouraged.

I have my weigh in tonight also. I should have a loss. But it is that time of month and I do gain water weight. So we will wait and see what happens. I have been good since saturday and I have not gone off plan. It is so much better this time. I am not hungry all the time like I was. So it must have been the predisone that was making me hungry 24/7.LOL It feels good to be back on track. I can't wait until my pants aren't fitting tight again. They were loose but not now. I went off plan for too long. But I know that in another week they will fit much better because I am going to stick to my plan and keep losing to get to my goal once and for all. Summer is coming and I will be at goal this summer. I didn't make my St. Patrick's Day challange but I will make the goal I have set for easter. With a lot of hard work on my part. I can do this. I have the power to control it.
I don't get in all my fruits and veggies that I should either. I do have one fruit a day and I have 1 cup of some veggie for dinner every night. But that is all I usually have.
I was very busy working with this new job yesterday afternoon and didn't get a chance to visit the boards. So I am here today.

Donna,

I hope you enjoyed your yoga class last night. Do you like it? I tried it once but didn't care for it myself. Glad to hear that you are still on track. Keep up the great work and I am sure you are looking forward to a loss.

Tamara,

Congratulations on the new job. I would love those hours also. I used to have a job where I worked 6-2pm. I loved it. You got home early enough in the afternoon to enjoy the rest of the day. The only bad thing about it was when the daylights savings time hit in the winter and it was so dark when you went to work. It was a lot harder to get up and going.LOL But it was great in the summer time. I think you will enjoy those hours.
Don't worry about the gains you had in the past 2 weeks. I also had some gains. But I just picked a day to get back on track and prepared myself for that day and I have been back on track now since saturday and doing well. Don't look back always look ahead. You can't do anything about the past but you can make good choices for today. Always start each day fresh they have no mistakes in them. You are doing great. Keep up the great work.

Kim,

Glad to hear that you are back on plan also. That is graat. Also that is great that you went for a walk. I know it was short but short is better then none at all.
Have a good day.

Mickey,

That is good that you plan for your water. I also drink 64oz of water a day. I have a cup that is 32 oz and I fill it once in the afternoon and then I drink the other after dinner. So I break it up also. I drink the water at room temp. it is easier to get down that way for me. I can drink a lot of water that way. I only drink water for the most part. I love water. But I can't drink it really cold.
I am just the opposite of you. I don't get in enough fruits and veggies and get in too many carbs. I am watching my carbs though and they have been very low this week. That is what helps me have a loss.

I hope everyone has a great day and good luck at your meetings for the ones that have theirs today.

Sherri

Good day all,

Things are still rough here. Waiting for Dr to do a house call today. I'm so fortunate that way to live in a small town and have him come out for home bound patients. My kiddo has pneumonia, on powerful..and painful antibiotic shots, lots of oxygen and suctioning...to mention a few things. I'm very tired and eating has been tough. Other daughter wanted brownies last night and that has been detrimental to me. Chocolate...and illness.....what a horrible combo!!!!

Also had blizzard conditions most of yesterday, so our meeting was cancelled.

Glad to hear that some of us are back on track. I will do something today, even if it is a little on the bike...having a hard time doing much of Richard without interuptions.

Have a good Thursday....

TOPS hugs,
Summer

Morning all. -- Eleni thank you for the poem on the other thread. I printed it out. It is great. You need your sleep. Have a cup of chamomile tea or some warm milk before bedtime and see if it helps relax you. The amazing thing is that we lose weight while we sleep and our body repairs itself for another day.

Summer I hope your daughter is well soon. It is so stressful when they are sick. Just do what you can and rest inbetween times, or drink lots of water - don't eat.

Sherri - good luck on tonights weigh in. My daughter was on predisone a few years back and one of things it was meant to do was make her hungry for she would eat as she was going through chemo and radiation at the time. It also puffs you up a fair bit.

I drink my water by filling two of the water bottles (that you buy in the store) with water and keeping in the fridge. I have to drink them both before I go to bed and that really isn't much of a problem. My other liquid of choice is green tea which I have one cup for breakfast and then maybe one other during the day. I quit drinking coffee about a year and half ago. I never used to like tea but I do enjoy the green herbals and I can drink them without sugar or milk. I used to drink my coffee with artificial sweetner which isn't that great for you either...

A big hi to everyone and have a great OP day.....

Hi Sherri - I forgot to mention how much I do like yoga. It is not power yoga I go to but it is called restructive yoga. It is very easy and gentle and works slowly at strengthening the muscles and gaining flexibility. some of the people in the group are there because of car accidents or illness and that is her speciality . I have been going for over a year and my neck, shoulders and arms are now pain free. When I take the summer off I can feel the difference in my body. It starts to tighten up and hurt. It doesn't really make you lose weight but it does make you more aware of your body and that makes me think about how I want it to look and act.
take care......

Hi christian,
I dont know you yet but it seems like you are doing it right. I know what you mean about doing everything right and when you get on the scale it moves up or doesnt move. Like Donna said drink your water also if you like lemon, try drinking a couple of glasses of water with lemon juice in it during the day. I find that is helps to flush you out. You can use the concentrate (about 1-2 tablespoons depending how big your glass you have.) I use a liter bottle and put about 2 tbsps in. It really works well......
Good Luck and Have a good day.

Sherri-
Hi Glad to hear you are doing better. Keep up the hard work and it will pay off sooner then you think.

Eleni-
Sorry that you aren't sleeping well. The walking will get easier for you as time goes by. Dont give up!!!!!! I know that it is hard now but think in one month how much easier it will be for you, I have 100+ pounds to lose all together too and it really is overwhelming to think that much at a time. I break it up into 20 pounds at a time. and it doesnt seem so bad. And I have already lost almost half of what I have to lose.
Good luck today....

To everyone- Hope today is a good day....Have a good weekend.
