Hi Everyone,
I'm home from SRD and as Eleni said, it was a great SRD. One of the things they did that I liked was the "Brain Gym", and I think it would be good to do at one of our meetings. It's supposed to relieve stress. They started it out by everyone doing the "twist" to music. The next exercise was to blow up balloons they had given out as we came in and to keep bouncing them up in the air for several minutes. Everyone didn't get a balloon, so they were bounced by anyone who could hit them. It was surprising how much people enjoyed doing that. They were laughing and smiling. I can't remember all the activities, but one was putting your thumb up with arm outstretched, keeping your eye on your thumb and doing a figure 8 with it. We also did the "chicken dance". It all was supposed to get oxygen flowing to the brain. There is an Internet adddress if anyone is interested.
www.braingym.org . They ended up by uncurling the fold around the edge of your ears (brought a lot of laughs). Our ears were red when finished, but that brought blood and oxygen to our ears.
It was fun, but we were all tired and we ate too much. I spent some time talking to a former state queen. She is very enthusiastic and that enthusiasm inspires others just by talking with her.
It was good to see you, Eleni, and I'll be looking forwarding to seeing you in the Leader's parade next year.
I looked thru the April's weigh-ins and it looks like everyone did well this week. Keep up the good losses, it's an inspiration for others. I had a 1.25 lb. loss this week. I have been in the black for 10 weeks now and would like to challenge some of you to work on staying "in the black" too.
Welcome to the new people.
Have a good day everyone.
