Angry Monday

Hi Everyone,

How did you like the superbowl last night? I'm not much for watching football, but I did watch the game with hubby last night.

I have had trouble staying on plan this weekend. I have wanted to eat everything I can. I was hoping I could do better today, but it isn't looking good. I think I will make some soup for dinner. I could eat a lot of that and it wouldn't be too high in calories.

A lot of people in Fl grow bananas in their back yard. My son has some trees and got a big stalk of bananas off them before christmas. My trees are young and didn't bear fruit yet. I'm hoping that they will come back from the freeze. A woman that Jim works with used to give us stalks of bananas and when she moved, she dug up some trees for him. When she gave us bananas, the whole stalk would get ripe at once and was much more than we could use, so we would be giving bananas to our neighbors and friends. The bananas were smaller and much sweeter than store bought bananas.

Well, my neighbor just called to see if she could come over, so I must go. Hope you all have a great on plan day.

Nita

I didn't watch much of the game, but my husband was glued to it. Although we don't have any football teams of that calibre, I guess we Canadians can brag about the musical talent - Celine Dion and Shania Twain are both from our country.

We had a beautiful weather day (one of our chinooks raised the temperature from minus 24 celsius on Saturday to plus 12 on Sunday) so I went for a hour walk outside. I had to be very careful because some of the sidewalks were icy, but I walked 3.75 miles in 1 hour. It felt just amazing to be outside walking in such beautiful weather. I can hardly wait for spring (which is still 3 months away).

I did also manage exercise on Thursday (30 minutes on the treadmill, at 3 mph, and a 2 incline. I was watching Wheel of Fortune, and everytime the commercials came on I changed the incline to 4 for the duration, so I got a pretty good workout.) Watching TV makes the time go faster.

I am hoping all this translates into a loss this week. I still had some Turtles left over from Christmas and had a bit of a chocolate binge last night. I took the rest and put them in the freezer. Hopefully out of sight, out of mind!!

We have 3 new members in our chapter since January 7th, so we're excited about that. Elections are coming up quickly and I don't have a good feeling - the members are not very co-operative in volunteering, but maybe I am wrong and it'll be okay.

Everyone keep warm and on program! I am hoping to regain my KOPS status by this summer (I have 13 pounds to go). Together we can do this!

Default MONDAY

Good Afternoon Everyone
Hope everyone is ok. Did everyone enjoy the super bowl. I watched a little of it with son and hubby. Not a big fan of football. But glad that FL won. Son is home from school today. Another snow day. They have to make up 5 days so far. The sun is trying to shine some. Which is nice. Suppose to warm up some later this week. Cant wait.
Hubby has another Dr's appt tomorrow. Still is fighting his cold. So dont know what they will do. He does sound a little better but not much. So we will see what happens.

Nita I KNOW what you mean about the eating. I have been doing the same thing. And I am not even hungry. Just got the pickies. Want something. But dont know what. So have been trying to stay busy. Have been doing some cross stitching. That is helping. And also been cleaning some cupboards and things like that. I got a couple done. Still have several to go. But will get them done. And to I think with the weather the way it has been. Being so cold and having to stay in the house alot. That doesnt help. Cabin Fever I guess. But you will get back on track. I know you can do this. Maybe writing down what you are feeling and eating will help. I dont even want to go weigh in tomorrow night. But I know that I have to face that scale. If not then I will really be out of control. Keep your chin up. You can do this.

Mickey How is it going. Are you back on track too. I am sure you are. Are you staying warm. You are doing great.

To everyone else. I am thinking of you. Hope that you are ok. Staying on plan. And that everyone has a loss this week. Together we can. Take care
A TOPS PAL
