Question Question regarding Tops

Hi there!! My Sister and I are thinking of joining Tops but were still not sure that we understand exactly what Tops is. Would there happen to be a thread somewhere in this forum that explains how Tops works, I've looked but can't seem to find anything. From what I have gathered so far you basically follow whatever weight loss system that works for you and Tops helps you to stay accountable (am I close??)

Also would anyone happen to know the cost of Tops in Canada? I have found 2 meetings very close to home, would just like to find out a bit more before I go.

Thanks a bunch!!

Charlene

Hi Charlene,
Tops is non profit. Not sure canda cost United states is $20 a year. plus monthly dues to your chapter. You can visit Tops.org for a location and costs. It also goes more in detail about information. Your chapter members work together to inform each other on weight loss information. You have challenges, games, prizes, and rewards. You are weighed weekly and you and your doctor set your goal weight. Once again the web site is Tops.org
Hope this helps. And welcome. Hope you come back and stick around.

Hi Charlene,

Wendy said it in a nutshell. You were right on when you said you follow any plan and the group supports you. That is what it is all about. All of us here on this forum do different things and we support each other in the good and bad times. They are a great bunch of people and would do anything to help out the other person. We are all in this together.
Just wanted to add that you can go and check out the 2 different tops meetings for free. Your first meeting is free to see if you like it then you can join if you want to. The monthly dues are different for every club. But in the US the membership fee is $20.00 like wendy said which is due once a year. The monthly dues at our chapter are $4.00. This money goes to buy things for the chapter like the charms and awards that are given out monthly.
I hope you go check them out. Stop back and let us know what you thought about the different chapters. Hope to see you around again. Don't hesitate to stop in and jump in and join us.

Hi there

I go to TOPS in Ontario. It cost me $25 to join and our dues are $2 per meeting. I follow the WW points system, but whatever works for you. I have lost 24 lbs since mid April. TOPS helps you stay accountable with weekly weigh ins. You also have contests, support, challenges, etc. and friendly people. I recommend joining.

Let us know what you do.
