Happy Tuesday!
Good morning! And what a great morning it is!! The fairy fat mother has finally paid me a visit. I am now sitting here 2lbs. lighter!! Picture if you will...me...doing the happy dance!! I know scale measuring isn't the only "weigh" to measure your progress, so after much searching for my tape measure to no avail, I bought another one this morning. I'll be doing my measurements later and re-do them after a week of working out with weights. AAAAAAAAAANnnnnnd....I...me...ME folks! Got up at 6:30 AM to do my walking on the treadmill. It feels so good to have it done. Now..can I take a nap?? hahaha!
Ryanmi, great improvise! Love that girl! Keep up that awesome effort! And that is terrific about your beginning weight being so much lower than what you thought. That had to be so exciting. Erin, love your measurement idea! LOL! My daughter is four. She is a little big to be pushed around, but she wanted a break and saw the floaties. Who am I to turn down a chance to swim without having to worry about keeping her head above water! LOL! Woo Hooo for your hubby! Looks like you guys are being active as a family. Way to go! Linda, I didn't know anything of them till this months issue of Readers Digest. They had an introduction of who they were, examples of their trivia and fun facts and a few sample recipes and I said I got to get me some of dat! I really like it. I may email them because they have stated on their recipes how many it serves and how much nutritionally is in each serving..but I would like to know roughly what is a serving size measured. Seeing that I will be making the majority of the recipes for me, myself and I. BTW - your strawberry mousse pie sounds great! Shawn, we all wish we'd get results overnight. You're not alone, trust me! You did have a great NSV though. Feeling my pants a little more baggier pepped me up big time. Sounds like you had a great workout too! Keep that up and you will be getting results faster than you may think. The only advice I think I may be able to give for your ladies night out would be...don't do anything you think you'll regret later. We've all had those "in the moment" moments and unfortunately wished we'd handled ourselves a little better. Is there anyway you can go the restaurants website and navigate around their menu to make the best choice for you? You can use this as a test, because I'm sure this isn't going to be the only time you're going to be in a celebrating situation. So if you can handle yourself now..then you'll probably be able to handle the rest of your life living your new lifestyle. All in all, have fun with the girls! Cheryl, I've been there done that with the KFC this weekend. Don't sweat it, just get back on plan and I'm sure it will have no affect on you. It in fact helped me get the scale going again. I'm living Robbins theory of a cheat to lose! And girl if I had that much to mow..I'd invest in some goats and them handle the grass! LOL! The pie sounds delicious! Liza, I'm so glad to hear you back to yourself again! You can do it girl, you've got it in you! You better keep popping in, I'm looking forward to it! Robbin, okay you're the second person whose had tried frozen peaches in this thread. Time for me to get some! LOL! Hope your day is a little less busier than yesterday! Well girls I'll leave the answer to the "Pop Quizine" for a bit to see if anymore of you care to guess. Hope you're all having a great day! I know I'm on cloud nine! hehehe! TTFN! ~Tina |
BTW - Hi Michelle, if you're out there! How are you doing??
|
Good Morning Everyone ~~~ It's a beautiful:sunny: day here! I've been having fun with my camera and spending too much money on developing, but I wanted to send some pictures to my family back in Iowa, since it's been a year since they have seen any of us here.:o I have some errands to run at Walgreens and Fred Meyer, and then when my DH gets off work, we need to run down to Walmart. WOW, we're going to be doing a lot of running today LOL!:dizzy: ;)
TINA...CONGRATS on your 2 pound loss girlie!:cp: :bravo: :hat:  :twirly: :flow2: :dancer: :cheer: Like I said before, you're going to just melt away to nothin pretty soon, while I still sit here procrastinating LOL! :yikes: :dunno:  I've been very hard on myself also thinking I need to set a certain time for my weight to be off, and I think it's doing the opposite affect to where I'm down and know I can't possibly get all of it off in the time frame I want. I have decided to not give myself a certain 'DATE' but rather just do what I know I'm supposed to be doing, and the weight will be off when it's ready!:dizzy: CHERYL...Thanks for the compliment on my pic and camera!;) I'm having so much fun with it; it's like a brand new toy!:D |
Ok I want to hear everyone chant
30's 30's 30's 30's I want to hit the 30's so bad I can taste it. LOL hahaha I am so funny. I know I just hit 240 but I want to be in the 30's, I will even settle for 239.9. Of course once I am in the 30's I will want the 20's but for now 30's will make me happy. |
Michelle, wow you're a busy bee today! Sounds like fun, if that's all shopping! LOL! Thanks for the congrats. The melting couldn't come fast enough! **kidding** I tell you, time limitations suck! They're good for nothing because you do feel pressured. And if you're not on schedule according to you, you are defeated before you even started. So that puts you in a bad frame of mind and full of negetive self-talk. You've got the right idea...let the chips fall when they may!
Robbin, I know how that feels. Trust me. I sat at 49.5lbs. lost long enough. So close to my next milestone (-50) but felt like so far away. Hang in there, it'll be here soon enough! And like you said you'll be waiting and wanting for the 20's then. LOL! I'm five and a half pounds away from getting to my half-way point and I'm already starting to taste that! :D |
Just me again . . . I don't know where the day has gone. Wow, it just flew by. It actually made it up to 23C (73F) with a lovely breeze and no humidity to be noticed. Just about a perfect day. It can stay this way from now until Christmas and I'd be happy. :(
Tina . . . Congratulations on getting that nice downward movement. Woopee for Tina. I think you've got just about everything you need to be able to figure out the counts for just about any serving size you might want with a little simple math. Give me a recipe name and what you need to know and maybe I can help. Robbin . . . we're chanting, we're chanting. Go Robbin, Go Robbin, Go Robbin. :) Michelle . . . right you are, girl. The only way to win the race is to forget about the finish line and just try to make the trip as pleasant as possible. Well, I need to go get some dinner on the go and then get back to the business . . . whatever it is. Have a great evening, chickies. Keep it moving and shaking. See you soon. :carrot: |
Tina...OK, you can now send the fairy fat mother back my way! So glad she decided to give you a 2lb dusting of her fairy dust.:wizard: Goats...I've thought about that, but hubby said NO!! He doesn't want them climbing on his junk, oops! I mean cars. HeHe!!! I settled for a herd of cows about now, at least you can eat them!!
Michelle...You gave yourself good advice. Just take each day as it comes and don't set a time frame. I first started out setting goals for each month, made the first goal, but not the next. I was really down, but Tina perked me right up. Robbin...I'm chanting, I'm chanting. 230...230...230...Yeahhhhhhhh Robbin!!!! Linda...Ozzy is doing great today and soaking up all the TLC he can get! Did about 1 1/2 hours of mowing again today, just have a little more trimming tomorrow and I'm done till next week. Going to make a Rhubarb Peach Crisps tomorrow. If it's good, I'll post it for you. Later ladies, Cheryl |
Hi Girlies ~~~ Just got home a little while ago. DH and I went down to Walmart and it feels good to be back home. The traffic was a little hectic and everyone runs around like they're heading for a fire!:flame: :hyper:
TINA...You are getting SO close to Onderland; that will be a great feeling!:carrot: I'm happy to not have a set date for my goal, so I do feel a lot of pressure lifted off my shoulders.:dizzy: LINDA...This trip downward is going to be as pleasant as possible!:^: CHERYL...You're one busy girlie; you're getting lots of exercise!:carrot: I think I need to remember the 10 pound mini goals, so that seems better to comprehend than the whole large amount.:dizzy: |
Hey Cheryl I have never tried Rhubarb is it good?
Not much happening here girls. It was a slower day at work. I am still tired and ready for bed. Oh yeah, I wanted to let y'all know ahead of time, I don't know how much I will be here next week. I have to report for Jury Duty next Monday. I have no clue as to how long it will take. So I wont be making any posts during the day, maybe early morning and some evenings but no daytime. Well I am gonna go to bed and read a little before I go to sleep. Hope everyone has a good evening, I will see you all tomorrow. |
Evening!
Linda, I know what you mean. This day has totally flown by. But it was a pretty good day afterall. Thanks for the congrats. Well I usually do pretty well with serving sizes. If it serves 4, I half the recipe and eat only half. And if it's for 6, I make half the recipe and eat 1/3. I would like to be able to make it and just scoop out a cup if that is what it is. It seems petty now that I say it out loud...nevermind! LOL! Glad you had a good day! ;)
Cheryl, you know I would love to cage that little fairy if I could. Anyone have a butterfly net?? haha! Awww shucks about the goats! With all that mowing between the three of you using different pieces why not go out and get a big farm swather (I think that's what they're called?). :D Michelle, I see you enjoy fighting traffic as much as me. This city is really overly congested and the roads can't handle the flow efficiently. I feel like losing it sometimes. You're right about lightening the load by omitting a time limitation. Makes things so much more doable. Robbin, I think if I were called for jury duty I'd make every excuse not to go. I'm very easily swayed. Sometimes watching court TV I hear the defendants side and I feel sorry for them. My uncle was on jury duty about two years ago. It was so intriguing to know what case he was on, but he couldn't tell. Not till afterwards. The case he listened to was this biker dude, who killed his woman and drove around with her head in the compartment on the back of the bike. Uncle said the pictures were just grusome. Hope yours isn't that bad. If any of you are pizza lovers, here's a recipe for you! It was soooo good and satisfied my pizza craving. Way better than those processed lean cuisines! A-lo-fat Hawaiian Pizza 1/2 cup pizza sauce 1 12" prebaked thin-crust pizza shell 2 tbsp. grated parmasean cheese 1 cup packed shredded light mozzarella or monterey jack cheese 6 slices of bacon cut into quarters 1/2 cup diced fresh pineapple chunks Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional) ~ Preheat oven to 425F ~ Spread pizza sauce evenly over crust. Sprinkle parmasean cheese over sauce, followed by half the shredded cheese. Top with bacon and pineapple. Sprinkle with remaining shredded cheese and a bit of chopped fresh parsely, if desired. ~ Place pizza directly on middle oven rack and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until cheese is completely melted and edges are lightly browned. Makes 1 pizza, 8 slices 150 Calories, 5g Fat per slice And the answer to the "Pop Quizine" is: b) Green was signed to a lifetime contract by the R.T. Davis Milling Co. to play the role of Aunt Jemima and to promote the Aunt Jemima Pancake Mix. Have a great night ladies. See you in the A.M.! TTFN! ~Tina |
Good Morning Girls, not much to report on my end. And looks like Tina is the only one to be here since I was last night. Kidna slow again aint we.
Well I am gonna get to work. I will check back later. |
Good Morning . . . we seem to have slipped back into a weather pattern called "just don't know", again. Sort of overcast, and a little more humid, but with sprinkles of sunshine just to keep you guessing. :(
It's hump day and it's also my www . . . YIPPEE, I've broken into a new decade this morning (not by much, but I'm there) . . . must have been all that chanting that did it . . . hope it works for you, too, Robbin. Tina . . . Hey, that was easy, certainly glad I could help. :dizzy: Glad you found such a satisfying low-cal, low-fat, pizza recipe. For some reason I'm not a lover of pineapple on pizza, but I might try the basic recipe with mushrooms, onion, and green pepper instead of the bacon and pineapple. :) Robbin . . . I love rhubarb. It's very low-cal; about 25 calories for a whole cup of stewed rhubarb. It is very tart and definitely needs lots of sweetener, but Splenda works fine. Glad your day was a little less hectic at work; sorry about the jury duty, we'll miss you, but hopefully it will be interesting. Cheryl . . . Looking forward to seeing the Rhubarb/Peach Crisp recipe. Never tried that combo, but it sounds good just thinking about it. I love the combination of rhubarb and strawberries. Michelle . . . Having lived most of my life in Toronto, I know exactly what you mean about heavy traffic and the hectic pace. The easier, slower lifestyle here in the Atlantic provinces is the main reason I haven't moved back to Ontario since I retired. For today's FFF, here's some totally useless Pizza information . . . . . . Pizza actually originated in Greece not Italy . . . Pizza Hut uses 80 million pounds of tomatoes and 350 million pounds of flour per year . . . Super Bowl Sunday is the number-one day for pizza delivery in the U.S., closely followed by New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, and Halloween . . . Pizza Delivery Tipping --- women tip better than men; a new car in the driveway means a smaller tip; the longer the driveway, the smaller the tip . . . favourite pizza toppings --- pepperoni (U.S.); eggs (Australia); mussels or clams (Chile). Have a really fantastic day, gang. Do lots of moving and shaking and you'll all keep heading in the right direction. See you soon. :carrot: |
Howdy all
I have been dealing with the worst migraine the last couple of days:headache: ...I had to go back on the steroids over the weekend, and unfortunately horrid migraine headaches are one of the side effects-that and I am hungry ALL THE TIME!!! I've been trying to be extra careful with my choices though-if I have to eat, at least I don't have to junk out, right? We'll see if it helps any when I weigh over the weekend. :crossed:
So glad for all of the weight losses going on among us-I am hoping for maintain or slight loss-not gain! Somehow, these steroids have a way of packing on the pounds though...I am trying all the same though! Fruit, grains, and lean cuisines! :hungry: Hope everyone is well...more later! M. |
Good Morning Girlies ~~~ Does the laundry ever end? One load to fold still from yesterday, and two more loads in today.:dizzy: The weather is beautiful here today. It's supposed to be up in the low 70s, but by next week, the weather man is saying it's going to be up in the 90s!
ROBBIN I don't envy you at all with jury duty! I have only gone one time, and the other 3 times I have been notified, I have written back with an excuse to be dismissed.:o Hope work is going good for you.;) LINDA You picked the right place to retire with less traffic. Sometimes I get so frustrated with people, you just wonder why they ever got their drivers license!:?: RYANMI I hope your migraine goes away soon! I have suffered with them quite a bit lately, and the last couple of days, I have had a headace but it hasn't gone into a migraine yet.:( TINA I do feel a relief of not setting a definite goal, but just do my best each day and I will get there eventually. When is it that you leave for Hong Kong? I bet you're going to buy some new clothes and you will look great!;) |
Happy Wednesday
Robbin, I've noticed we've slowed down a little too. Everyone must be busy enjoying the nice weather.
Linda, congrats on getting into the 50's decade! I was thinking of tweaking the recipe myself the next time. Try using turkey bacon, real turkey breast slices and mushrooms. I'm a meat lovers pizza type gal myself. Ryanmi, ouch! Sorry to hear about the migraine. At least you're keeping your witts and are being mindful good food choices. Way to go! Michelle, nope! Laundry never ends!! :) I'm leaving for Hong Kong July 16th. You're right, I will be doing some shopping before I go. I am getting a little antsy to go start now. All of my capris are too baggy (I have two pairs that I can make do with) and I don't own any shorts, I'm tempted to buy some though. I just want to give myself all the chance in the world to buy something that will fit and last. I'm going to get going and start in on some laundry myself. Been out this morning getting my vehicle an oil change. I was pretty dedicated this morning as I did my walking again before breakfast. And made all good food choices thus far, even up on my water for the day. I Hope you're all having a great day! TTFN! ~Tina |
Linda...WhooHoo on your loss. Nice to see the 250's. I know you are doing the fatty fat dance.
Robbin...Rhubarb is so good. I sometimes just add 2 to 2 1/2 cups rhubarb to a cake mix and bake it. I make a really good Rhubarb Crack Cake and Rhubarb cheesecake. I'll try to post them later for you. Michelle 2...So sorry to hear you are having migrains. Hope you feel better real soon. Tina...I'm going to be buying new clothes in the next couple of weeks also. My pants are getting way too big. I wore a pair yesterday to mow and clipped my walkman on, and pants came down! We are going to be buying a swather, but for our ditch and back pasture that we can't use the belly mower in. We have a very deep ditch that hubby tried to mow last summer and rolled the tractor over. Thank God he jumped clear of the tractor in time. Michelle...We are 88 today, but by Friday we are suppose to be in the 60's. Wish it would just stay at 75 with a slight breeze. I'm up .5 lbs, but it's water weight and will be gone by next week. I was so tired last night, that I went to bed before my hubby got home from work. I didn't even hear him come in, I'm usually a night owl and always wait for him to come home. Looks like I will be in bed again tonight, just really tired. Have a good night and I'll check back tomorrow. Cheryl |
:cp: :cb:  :dancer: :encore: Weigh to go Linda. It is so good to hit a new set of numbers. You are now in the 50's, so cool. You also have only 10 more to go to hit your mini goal.
Cheryl, I have heard alot of people talk about strawberry rhubarb pie but never tried it:hun: . My mom says it is good. Maybe I will get some and try my hand at making a pie. Michelle, here you can't write back with an excuse. If you want to be dismissed you have to go before the judge and give him a reason then he will decide :nono: and I have been told that it has to practically be a matter of life and death before they let you out of it. Ryanmi, I am sorry you are having such a bad time with migrains. I have never had one myself but can imagin it would be no fun. I will keep my fingers crossed that you are feeling better soon. Ok for you Canadians(Linda - Tina) I have a question. Why do you guys have so many places up there with long hard to spell names, like Saskatoon or Saskatchawan. The company I work for does a lot of business in Canada and I have to write up the sales contracts. I can type:comp: pretty fast(80wpm) untill I get to the City Name or Providence Name then I slow down real bad. LOL Most of the companies we do business with are also French Speaking, do either of you speak French? LOL I dont I only speak one language "HillBilly" . Or so says my boss, he is always making fun of my accent. Well I better get to bed. I will see y'all in the morning. |
WOW no one has been here since me. MMMMMMMMMM what are we gonna do about it being so slow? I can't loose you girls. You are what keeps me going.
|
Robbin...Had a good laugh about you speaking "hillbilly". My friends here make fun of my accent. Grew up in Oregon, lived in North Carolina, California and Japan. I personally think I talk just fine, but they say I have an accent. Go figure.
In answer to the hard Canadian names, they are Native Canadian names. You will find the same thing here in North Dakota, Oregon and Washington State. Your lucky if you only have to serve jury duty once. I just got off in Feb and it's a two year commitment here. I was called once to serve and they settled just before the trial was to start. The easies $60 bucks I ever made. The only cases I would never have to serve on are murder cases, because my Grandfather was murder. Guess they figure I would be bias. GEEEZ! Do ya think? Never tried a Rhubarb Strawberry Pie, but I love just a plain Rhubarb pie.:hun: Well I better get busy. I have a new girl coming in for respite care for 10 days, so I need to get the room ready. Be back later to chat with the rest of you ladies. Hope you all have a good morning. Hugs  to you all. Cheryl |
Good Morning Girlies ~~~ Well it's an overcasted morning and cooler, and I love it, because next week, it's supposed to be up in the 90s again.
LOIS I miss you! I hope you get your new monitor soon so you can join us again! ROBBIN I'm sorry it's so hard for you to get out of jury duty. It has been quite a few years since I have gotten a notice to do it, so it may have also changed here too.:dizzy: You're right about it being slow with all the girls here.;) CHERYL When we go back to Iowa, we think they all have accents, but they don't think so. Also, My daughter's friend in Maine has an accent, and she thinks my daughter also has one, but we don't think we do. It's just funny how everyone see's people as having accents when we don't see them. TINA You're doing so good with your exercising early in the morning. I always do mine right when I get home from taking my daughter to school. When school is out next week, I'm happy to get a break from taking her to school, and I can exercise even earlier in the morning. I bet you are getting anxious for your trip, beings it's only a little over a month away!;) |
ROBBIN Did you switch to an ad-free subscription here? I saw that it said Senior Member under your name, and when I subscribed for a week before, it said that under mine. Now I just resubscribed to try it for one more week, and I see it's back again. I do like the ad-free because you have such a large screen, and after you are signed in, no more ads anywhere! I may, after this week, sign up for the 6 months for $15.

Happy Thursday!
Well good morning, good morning! Boy did we ever have a thunder storm lastnight. Not that I'm scared of thunder..I'm scared of lightening! I've always had a fear of it hitting our house. My moms house was hit back when I was too small to remember and the stories of it terrified me. It went through her toilet, knocked her brothers knees together and they instantly swelled and shaved one side of another brothers head. Okay, okay...that one is funny! LOL!
Not much new going on with me in the "diet" zone. I'm still chasing that fairy fat mother around with a butterfly net. (Don't keel over laughing trying to invision that one!) I was able to pull myself outta bed again at 6:30 to do my walking, but I must admit it was a little harder. It's funny how that extra 1/2hr. becomes so desired at that point. :D Cheryl, that must of been a laugh when you're pants took a trip to see your ankles! :D I can't wait to go shopping, especially because it will probably be a new size! I can fit into some 16's that are a big make. So I'm going to find all the "big make" 16's so I can say I'm wearing them! What makes me even more antsy is that I just got a card in the mail from a store I shop at (Additionelle) and they're offering me an early bird invitation to buy one get second one 50% off before they make it open to all customers. Apparently I'm valued or something! LOL! Yeah right...along with everyone else who got one in the mail today! LOL! Don't worry that half a pound of WWW will be flushed in no time flat! Robbin, speaking as a proud Canadian...you haven't come accross the worst ones yet! LOL! If you were dealing with the far north, like in the territories and iniut areas I think you'd go crossed eyed! But I think we both have some weird, extensively spelled names in both our countries. I find that we have the same named towns, I live in Grande Prairie, Alberta and I heard on the news one night about a town in the states..Grande Prairie. I don't remember what state it was in though. I took french in school, started in gr. 3 till gr. 9..unfortunately a lot of it has left me now. It's mandatory here. Michelle, I spent ten dollars yesterday to get an extreme car wash..you know the one with the wax and color enhancer. I didn't even get back out of the garage before we got poured on! What a waste. I never know when it's best to wash the car..seems like lately you can expect rain at any time. Like I said we had thunder storm last night and now the sun is peeking through the dismal clouds. You can't win for losing. But I'm glad someone is enjoying it! LOL! Yes, I used to do the same. Exercise after dropping Alyssa off at preschool..but now I seem to like getting it done and over with before I have to greet the rest of the day. It will sure make it easier when school is out..I agree. Then I don't have to wake up so early to do it. And yes, I am quite excited about the trip...only five more weeks! :D Well all I guess I've rambled on long enough! Have a great day and I hope it's a good fat burning one! TTFN! ~Tina |
Hey guys ~ just checking in quickly at lunch. The past two days, I've done good during day, but splurged at night. On Tues night, DH and I went to the Movie Tavern to see Xmen III ~ I had a beer, a blue frozen margarita, some cheddar bacon fries, and part of a hamburger (the whole patty, but part of a bun).
Then last night, was the girls' night at the mexican restaurant ~ I had THREE frozen margaritas, chicken fajitas (all of them), and 1/2 of a flan. Today the scale is up two pounds, but I'm assuming it's from all the salt in the margaritas. I am back on track today, and don't foresee anymore outings until NEXT weekend, so I think I'm okay. Hoping that scale moves back down quickly, though! On a side note, I've been VERY uptight lately. I can't put my finger on exactly what it is (no, not pms either), but it has to do with the twins demanding so much attention right now, not having enough time at home to get things done, etc. The dirty house is driving me CRAZY. I'm going to have the girls eat at my mom's tonight, while I come home & try to get my life back in order. Hopefully, with DH's help, we can get alot knocked out in very little time. I will check back in tonight if I have time. I hope to go workout, but don't know if I will make it with everything else going on. |
Got this in an email today and thought y'all might like it.
Wouldn't you know it... Brain cells come and brain cells go, but FATcells live forever.:D |
Well girlies, sorry I've been a little absent this week, busy with work and feeling a little under the weather. Also my computer said the site was down this morning, couldn't even get the home page to come up let alone get into anything else! Lots to catch up on so will try some quick personals but I appologize now if i miss anything! Will also forgo some of the frills i usually do, just for the sake of time. But please know my heart is frilly even if my typing is not!
Ryanmi Sorry to hear about the migraine, hope the booger is out of here soon! Liza- glad to see you pop in and hear the enthusiasm in your post! Robbin - chanting for ya girl! I can't imagine anything less than 250 so thinking about 230 just blows my mind! Can't wait to see you get there. I have managed to get out of jury duty by never registering to vote, although i have heard they are now doing it by drivers license instead. Linda - love the recipie and the FFF glad to hear you finally got a little sun, even if it is gone again. also huge congrats on the loss! Cheryl - glad to hear the puppy is on the mend and don't worry about the .5 gain, i am sure with all the mowing you have done it will be gone soon Michelle - good job on letting go of the time frame, something i really struggle with too. We put so much unnecessary pressure on ourselves that way! Glad to hear you are having beautiful weather. Ours has been good, less humidity lots of sun! Tina - I have always been a wake up and exercise kind of girl, if i don't i never do it and i sweat/stink too much to do it and then try to be around other human beings! congrats on the 2# loss and thanks for the pizza recipe i have got to try that one! Well, all is relatively well here, weight is doing weird stuff so have decided will report only one time a week on actual losses, probably sunday or monday. Got good exercise today, 2 mile watp for abs this morning and then spent about 2 hours in the pool at the Y with the kids. Not as much true exercise for me as i would like but good none the less. Have been kind of run down lately but seem to be getting out of it so hopefully weight loss will follow! Hope ya'll have a wonderful evening and will try to check in in the AM! |

I've messed up my postings so I'm giving up tonight. Also, my avatar has shrunk down AGAIN and I seem to be the only one having the problem and it's VERY frustrating. My other picture was the same size as this one, and it shrunk down, so I tried this one, and it's also smaller!
|
Ok I had a long post all typed up and when I hit post my computer messed up. I am so not in the mood to deal with this computer today.
Erin glad to see you, I missed you. Michelle your avatar looks fine to me. Ok short version of my post. Last night I got on the scales for some stupid reason but was doin the happy dance cause they said 239.4. My family thought I had lost my mind cause I was so excited. That was short lived. When I got on the scales this morning they were back up to 240.0. What a bummer. Oh well. Check back later it is time to get to work. |
Hello!!!
Hello Everyone,
I am new - just signed up about a week ago. I am unable to chat now but look forward to it in the near future. Have a great day and a nice weekend!!!:carrot: |
Sorry I wasn't around yesterday and probably not much today either. I don't know where the Fairy Fat Mother is hiding out right now but boy do I every know where you can find the Migraine Monster-in-Law . . . haven't had one this bad in many, many months. We are caught in an extreme low and likely will be for a few days according to weather department.
Sorry, can't look at the screen any longer; but definitely wanted you to know I'm thinking of you, all. Here's a great big welcoming  for you Success. See you all later. :carrot: |
TINA... I hope you had better weather last night. Last summer when my daughter and I went back to Iowa, we had some really horrible thunder and lightning storms! One night, lightning struck a transformer back behind my grandparent's house, and there was a huge explosion and a bright flash. Some other nights, the thunder was so loud and hard that it felt like we were having an earthquake. I have been back there for MANY of summers, but I have never experienced the weather this bad! I've also done what you did with the car before. That is so frustrating to get it all cleaned up and then the rain comes in!  ;)
SHAWN... I know exactly what you mean with the mexican place. Although I'm not a drinker, give me chips and salsa!:dizzy: I hope you got some relaxing time last night. My girls are only 18 months apart and we had them both in diapers and bottles for the first five months. You wonder some days how you will make it through the day, but the time goes by VERY fast!;) ERIN... I hope you're feeling much better today. I have been fighting back and forth now for a week with a migraine for a couple of days, and then just a lingering headache, that is just enough to make the day not too good.:( LINDA... I sure hope you get rid of your migraine soon. I know exactly what you're going through, and they're horrible! :welcome: SUCCESS to the group here! You will love everyone here!!!;) ROBBIN... That happened to me last night with the post and I was so frustrated that I just got off the computer and went to bed. My avatar picture was a lot larger and then all the sudden it did shrink down!:?: Oh well, I don't understand some of the problems I only seem to have here on this site.:( Well my weight is down, but not down to the 236 that I had been at last week, or was it the week before; I lose track of time...:?: |
Hey all I just wanted to let you know that once again I am going to have a pretty busy weekend. I will be at my mothers for most of it. I will try to check in but do not think I have deserted if I dont. I will for sure be right back here as soon as I can. I can not keep going with out all of you.

Hi Gals!!
Finally I am feeling better-I HATE STEROIDS!!!:censored: :censored: They make me hungry all of the time, give me terrible migraines, and mess my sleeping all up-the good news though, is that I have a TON of energy...been doing a lot of walking lately!!! :running: We're building a new "clocktower" in the center of campus-normally I would not have been able to view the daily progress, but since I am taking my daily stroll around campus, I'm getting to see the daily progression...pretty cool!
WELCOME Success! Hello, Hello, Hello...looking forward to getting to know you! :welcome2: :welcome3: Michelle, here's a thought...maybe your avatar is shrinking because YOU are shrinking??? LOL...I'm far from a technical genius, so that's the only guess I have. But hopefully it was good for a chuckle! Linda, it seems that Michelle and I have passed our migraine issues right on over to you. :( BOOOOOO...hope you are feeling better soon! This last headache was a real killer- the whole house was dark/blinds all closed, and if I thought I could had made it to the car to get my sunglasses, believe you me, I would have! Hang in there! Robbin, have a great, relaxing weekend with your family! :beach: Shawn, reading about your dinner out made me hungry for Mexican food myself, so that's what I had for dinner! A steak taco and a small refried beans and chips! Not super-healthy, but it sure was good!!! :sssh: Tina, I had to laugh as I read your car wash story. I actually thought about getting my car washed the other day as I was driving home from work. No sooner do I think it than the drops start falling-in the middle of a sunny day!! My poor car hasn't gotten a bath in months-I'm going this weekend even if it rains! :rain: Well...I believe that I am now going to sit down with my new People magazine and read all about the "Brangelina" baby...at least the child has a hot father! Woo Hoo!!! :whoo:  Have a great night! M. |
ROBBIN... Have a fun weekend at your mom's house!
RYANMI... So glad to hear that your migraine is gone. Yours sounded way worse than mine did!:( I was laughing so hard when I read your comment; yes, I think the reason my avatar shrunk is because I am LOL!!!  |
Michelle and Robbin...I also had a long post all typed out last night, and when I hit submit, it was gone. I was soooooo:mad: :tantrum:,I just said to heck with it, and went to bed.
Robbin...Hope you have a very nice and relaxing weekend with your family. Michelle and Tina...Think you sent your wet weather my way. It has been raining since 3am with no let up. It's cold also, we are going to be in the low 40's tonight. I feel like turning the furance on, but I'll just add another quilt to the bed nd cuddle with Ozzy. Hubby has to work tonight. Shawn...Glad to you hear you had a good time with your friends. Linda...You poor dear:hug: I sure hope you are feeling better real soon. Migrains are so terrible to deal with. Ryanmi...Glad to hear you are feeling so much better and getting lots of walking in. :welcome: Success:welcome: Look forward to getting to know you better. Erin,Liliann and Lois...Hope you have a teriffic, relaxing weekend. Even though it has been pouring down rain all day, we had a car meeting/BBQ to go to tonight. Thank goodness they had reserve an inclosed shelter, so we stayed dried and a little warmer. I made the Rhubarb Peach Crisp for the BBQ, and it was soooo goood:drool: :hun: I will post the direction for it tomorrow. I'm doing respite care for a 10 year old girl for the next 11 days. She is a real sweetheart, but she has been up since 5 am, so I'm pretty tired. Going to go and tuck her into bed and then myself. See you gals tomorrow. Cheryl |
Good morning ladies! I was up with the birds, well before the birds this morning, 4am so that i could do the walmart run without kids and before my hubby had to go to work. He left at 7am and i won't seem him until after midnight! Oh well, life of a semi-single mom!
Success247:welcome3: Welcome to the party, this is a great bunch of ladies and wonderful support! We look forward to getting to know you! Robbin - that up a little down a little can really make you insane! I ma suffering from the same problem right now and am about to go crazy! It has put me in a don't care mood which can be very dangerous. I was down again this morning so if i can hook another day to it then i hope to be over the hump! I am still chanting for you! Linda - I am soo sorry to hear about the migraine! Are they contagious? We seem to be having a lot of them going around right now! Anyway, i do hope you feel better soon! Michelle - glad to hear you are coming down on your weight. I know slow can be painful but from what they tell me it is the best for long term success! hang in there! Ryanmi - boy you are a walking machine lately! I can't hear of clock tower without thinking about Back to the Future. Do you mind if i ask what you had to take the steriods for? Hopefully those side effects are gone soon!!! They make me so irritable when i have to take them for respiratory infections, but a lot of times that will be the only thing that works!! Cheryl - I would love a little low fourties right now!!! We have been dry and hot for what seems like weeks now! Keep saying we will get showers but they never seem to materialize at my house! Now are temps are supposed to be going up to the upper 90's...SAVE ME!! I think we will head to the Y for a little swimming and then back to the house for yard work! I am a glutton for punishment aren't I!!! Hope you girls are having a good weekend and will catch ya later! |
ERIN... I try to sleep in, but I'm always up early no matter what! Atleast you beat all of the people to Walmart, because that place can get really bad on a weekend!:?: Hope you have fun swimming today! I do know as much as I want to lose my weight really fast, slow is the best way to keep it off this time!;)
CHERYL... Atleast you're having rain and cooler weather now instead of that hot muggy stuff! Our weather has only been getting in the 60s lately, and I had to turn the heat on this morning for a little while. I do know what ya mean with losing the posts; very very frustrating!!! ;) |
Hey ladies! Sorry I didn't check in yesterday. My day started as soon as I got out of bed. My cousins little girl was in town staying with my aunt. She is the same age as my daughter. So, I spent the day out with them. We went swimming and picnicing. It was a full day, my daughter absolutely loved it. I came home and went out for a walk and then decided to start my chore of mowing. It was late when I got in and all I felt like doing was relaxing in the jetted tub in cool water. The weather is hot, hot, HOT! I probably won't be around much today either. I'm outside doing a little yard work and doing things with my daughter...we're going to have a fire tonight in my out door fire place. So I want to get it all tidy. Hopefully be back soon for personals!
Have a great day ladies! |
Erin...Must be nice to go to WalMart at 4am. Our's doesn't open till 7. We are still cool and rainy. Got an inch of rain yesterday and don't know how much we got today. I just want it to be nice by Friday. Our car club has it's big show this weekend, so I will be busy working both Friday and Saturday at it. Enjoy your weekend with your family.
Tina...Oh does a jetted tub sound nice. We are planning on putting in a jetted tub when we remodel our bathroom next year. My last house had an old fashion claw foot tub that we had refurbished. I loved that tub!! Wish I would of moved it with me. Michelle...I had to turn my heat on this morning as well. Just enough to get the chill off the house. I hoping that we warm back up to the mid 70's by Friday. Well gals, went and saw the movie "Cars". It was so cute. Did a little sewing this morning and also pressed kids together with their clothes, so I can place them on the quilt for a final pressing. I think I will have to do 90 kids to finish the quilt. Have a great weekend. Cheryl |
Hi Gang . . . I'm still here . . . the low pressure is still hanging in there and although my head is somewhat better, I couldn't exactly call this 'feeling good'.
For once, I'm almost glad it has been fairly quiet around here for the last couple of days although I really haven't gone all the way back to Thursday to check things out. What little time I have been able to stand looking at the computer screen has gone to my 'work project'. Hopefully I'll be back to normal soon. In the meantime, keep moving and shaking gang. See you soon. :carrot: |
