Hello all,

Ellen, I know what you mean,,,just being able to talk to your son probably helped both you and him...hope he is mended soon.

Christina, ouch poor Josh, did they not clean it properly when he first fell? I hope hes ok. As for your house I hope you get that one, I love the way its laid out.

Marti, glad to know you and James got to spend time together...Happy Anniversary.

oh ya Christina,,, you probably wouldn't want to know what we were filming last night...naughty naughty...lol

Good Saturday morning, ladies!

Angie - wow, you got a great deal on the slippers. I see jeweled flat all over the place, and think they are cute. Katie has a pair. An x-rated commercial, huh? Are you a porn star now - food porn at least, lol. It's so sweet of you to keep in contact with your old neighbors. I still talk with one of mine, too, and it's fun. Another is at Walmart almost every Thursday when I go, so we catch up there, lol.

Mindee - any luck apartment hunting yesterday?

Ellen - glad all is fine with your son's surgery. We're better when our kids are better, right? Katie is much better now, and I breathed a sigh of relief when she told me that. It was all I could do to not hop on the first plane headed for Florida, lol. Yikes, that was some terrible accident you were in! Hope your headache and earache are much better.

Cristina - omg, I'm so sorry about Josh! Hopefully he/they were just kidding around when they mentioned amputation. Yes, that does seem extreme! I can imagine that you're ready to fly to Hawaii - I know I wanted to go to FL to see Katie and all she had was the flu. Does he get to call you often? That would be helpful. Let us know how he's doing, ok? I just knew you wouldn't get offended about the grandma thing. Anyone with kids in past a certain age is grandma material, lol, and I know how great you would be with a little one who needs someone like you in his/her life.

Susan - yes, I DO believe in Guardian Angels and have a story about that which I'll share someday. I'd say one lead you to the client who needed let into her apartment. Glad you liked the birthday card - I thought you'd get a big chuckle out of it, lol. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN, LOL

Marti - hope you're having a great weekend with Jhanai, and I'm glad you got some quality time with your sweetie yesterday.

You know, I think it's time I made an appointment for Neal with a sleep study doctor. The poor guy jerks, stops breathing, and has a terrible time. I think he has sleep apthnea(sp?). In the meantime, I can't sleep, either, with all that commotion going on. We have the upstairs sealed off since the house is so drafty, or else I'd just sleep in Katie's bed. Actually, I'd be scared up there by myself.

Mackenzie Jo, the 7 y/o will be spending a few days with Neal and me. She's on Spring break next week, so I asked to have her for awhile. I'm really looking forward to that. Today one thing we'll be doing is hanging plastic Easter eggs on a couple of small trees in the yard.

Im doing pretty good with the food. Not excellent, but better than ok.

Have a great weekend, ladies!

Good morning ladies,

There is no snow on the ground this morning, that is a plus, but a few flakes are hanging around in the air. So it's still cold.

Christina: I know how you feel worrying about Josh. It's bad enough he's so far away, then they get hurt and you don't really know what is going on. I feel for you girl....also,, one thought came to me.. if his knee is so bad, would it, could it keep him from going to Iraq? Maybe it's a gift in a strange package. Anyway, I hope it all turns out ok for him. I know when they're in the service it's not always easy to talk to them. They don't get to call as much as you would like. I had two boys in the Marines. And the DIL that is pregnant is still a Marine. She is a career service person. NO baby yet.

Marti, Happy Belated Anniversary... Glad you got to spend time with your hubby on your special day. Hope it was romantic for you.

Mindee, I live in Ludington. It's right on the west shore of the lake, half way up the coast. Your place must be a small town, as I've never heard of it.

Susan, Happy Belated Birthday.. . I wanted to post last night but never made it to the computer.

Jane, how nice you get to have your dgd over during spring break. I wish I could do that, mine have spring break this week too. I can only do it on weekends, can't wait till I can retire and just be home. Course by then, grandkids will be older and not want to stay as much. Oh well, I take them when I can.

Marti, another 7 miles last night. We really need to find a destination, we may be half way there and not even know it..

Going to go shopping this morning. Have to get some things for the new baby. And am going to make up baskets for the grandkids for Easter, so have to get them so I can send them out to the ones in Calif.

When I get home from town, will do my floors and general cleaning around here. Will try to get in a few more miles. I must be building up some muscle and the scale is staying put right now. Hoping to see a change soon. I hate when it gets going good then stops and stays put. How are the rest of you doing?

Tomorrow dh and I are going to go visit his mom. She is turning 91 this week. So we are having a small party for her tomorrow. She'll forget we were there after we leave, but at least for a little bit she'll know she still has a family. She is getting to the point now she forgets she had a meal half an hour after she eats. IT's so sad to see the confusion. To not know where you are, or who you are with, it must be scary not to say the least. It comes and goes, one minute she'll know something, the next she don't... I pray I never get that way. It runs in her family. Her mom was the same way, but yet she is the only one who has it of all her siblings. Strange.. just hope my dh don't get it...

ok. well that is enough for now. I have to go dry my hair before I go out into the cold. Will check in later.

Howdy Ladies

Well, didn't think I would be on the computer today but woke early and did what I needed to do and now I am bored out of my mind. V had to work so won't be home until almost two. Went and got my vehicle washed early not knowing if the car wash would actually work with it being so cold this morning-they tend to freeze up when it gets that cold. But others had already been washing all the gunk off their cars-muddy mess. I didn't realize how bad mine was until I looked at the back!

JANE...funny, too...my sisters are both grandma's and both were before the age of 40! Their oldest sons are the same age and they had them at a young age. I'm thinking the guy was messing with Josh when he said that, or at least I am hoping. And of course he didn't call me yesterday, the turd! He can call when he wants, just sometimes they are busy and he doesn't. Or he's busy with the guys. How fun to have Mackenzie for a few days, and to decorate for Easter. I so miss that. I did put out a Happy Easter flag and will put out my spring wreath today but that's as far as Easter decorating goes. Not a holiday we celebrate since we have no little ones. V has sleep apnea. I can't remember when he went to the sleep center how many times a night they said he stopped breathing but it was a LOT! A lot of strain on a persons heart to say the least. So good thing that Neal is going to have it checked. V has to sleep with a breathing machine other wise I would be hitting him in the back several times a night like before. It is scary to hear him stop breathing for that length of time.

GINNY...I can only hope that they won't send him to Iraq because of his knee. He started having problems with it in basic. He had hurt it then but never went to the doc for it. Just fell on some rocks while in Hawaii and apparently the rock in his knee caused the infection, I'm assuming anyway. Just driving me crazy no being close enough to be able to get to him if needed. Have a nice visit with your MIL.

ANGIE...I wondered about the commercial when you mentioned the girl with the bottle! Didn't know if she was someone off to the side going crazy with it or if she was part of the commercial! I too hope we get the house...that is another thing driving me crazy. I swear last night I thought I was having a nervous breakdown! Too much going on at one time.

ELLEN...we won't close on the new house until our house is sold. We have a contract, sort of...it's on the contingency of us selling this house. And if someone comes in and they get a better offer it's gone! That was why I was trying not to get excited about it but it's hard. So both houses will possibly close the same time. Unless we can get a fast one and get in the new house sooner. Not sure if that can happen though. Just depends on who buys this house and how they want to proceed. Just a waiting game. And we haven't had any calls this week for viewings. I'm thinking because of the weather and it being spring break. Thought we would have an open house but nope! So hoping next week to get some calls and have an Open House for sure. Another thing that is bad is all the new houses going up. Even though people would have to pay more, and spend money on a lawn, trees, a fence etc. a lot of people would rather go that route. But a lot of people are wanting in this school district so...Anyway, hope you are feeling better today! Oh, I too believe in Angels! I have a couple of things that happened but have only shared it with a few. Some look at me like I am crazy and others share stories they have heard from others that are similar. So I tend not to share. But it happened so...they are all around us believe me! I love the pink BD post to Susan, so pretty! And yes, I too love all your colorful posts!

SUSAN...again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope you have a fun day! So where is Doug moving that you have to take Rebecca? I meant to ask if you were still going to see Rocky in April, just kept forgetting. Well, hopefully he comes to see you this summer. He is such a sweetie and you are lucky to have him in your life.

MARTI...enjoy your weekend with Jhanai! And glad that you and James had time together.

HIYA JULES...hope you are having a wonderful day and weekend.

Well, that's about all I have for now ladies. Gonna go and vacuum out my car and clean the windows, maybe wipe things down inside. I've got a blanket over my back seat for Ernie since we have to take him and leave when there is a showing. His hair gets everywhere..but then that was before I gave him a haircut. It's so funny because when his hair grows out he is mostly black, with some brown and tan. But when I shave him...he is all tan except for the white under his neck (which is always really white-so pretty) and the black stipe down his back...looks kind of odd. Anyway, he's a cutie, mean, but cute.

Take care ladies and have a great day!
