Godd afternoon everyone, Haven't been on for a couple of days. I had to work Wed. and after a 12 hour shift just don't have the time. Today i had to go to a meeting at work, on my day off!!! So I still have all the house work and running to do and it's noon! I'm off tomorrow and then it's back to work for the weekend.

Congrats every one that lost weight this week!!!! Way to go! Every pound gone is a pound gone. Just keep going, and they will all be gone! I know it's hard to be patient, I sure don't like it. I want the weight off RIGHT NOW. But slow and steady gets you there too!

Everyone keep up the good work! Freda

Hi gang . . . congratulations to the losers and to the exercisers and to you too, Gail . . . you exercise my favourite way.

Actually my WATP and Yoga DVDs have arrived. Now, of course, I have to get up the energy to stick them in the machine instead of just looking at the cases.

Not much else is new around here. Another dull and relatively cold day and a little fresh snow on the ground. I think the weather was more Spring-like in January.

Have a great day, everybody, and keep doing all the right things.

Nothing going on with me either - just waiting for the 29th so I can get my thyroid scan and MOVE on one way or another!!!

At my weigh-in today I didn't lose but I also didn't gain. I'll take it

Didn't work out today but I did wash 3 of my dogs - I don't know if that counts for much since they are maltese

Hugs,
Hy

Almost 5 a.m. and not even in my workout clothes! Ugh! I actually woke up today thinking it was Saturday and had just settled in in front of the computer, coffee in hand...and realized its only Friday! I don't think they'd understand if I didn't show up for work.

Lost another pound...so it's evident that adding just another 2 nights of exercise ( 3 miles ea ) is really challenging my body. Fingers crossed that it continues to work...I really don't want to continue to add miles until I reach goal...I'll be walking from here to June continuously! lol

Ladies, make it a great day, even though it's not Saturday! We're all doing great!

Hy, hope the thyroid scan comes out okay! I can relate as I had surgery a couple years ago for a tumor. Really made a mess out of the weight thing but am back on track trying to get it off!

LOL itsforme... must have been quite a disappointment when you realized it is only Friday! As for the walking... LOL you sound like the "perfect candidate" for our Coast to Coast Challenge... cyberwalk across the US!!

Hello, everyone, Sounds like all of us have the winter time BLAHS! Spring where are you? I think we're all ready! Won't it be nice to get outside and walk and look at al the flowers? And actually see your neighbors again!
But, we still have to exercise. Boring, yes, necessarry, oh yes!!! I find that I have to plan it into my day. If I do the treadmill it's at 12 because that is the time a show I watch comes on. I flip on the tv and get on my treadmill. If I do a tape I plan what time i'm going to do it. When that time rolls around, no excuses, do the tape!

It's for me, you don't have to keep adding exercise! Actually, you can exercise too much! Nothing that I'm ever going to have to worry about, but you can. Probally your body is getting used to one form of exercise and you need to shake it up a little. If you walk on the treadmill, change the angle. Get some new tapes. So you lift weights? Works better than anything for me!
had to LOL at the ideal of thinking it was Sat.! Bet that got you moving quickly!

Meow, have fun with those new tapes! I'm so akward that it takes me a few times to do them right! But new ones challenge you.

Hy, I think washing 3 dogs is exercise! Washing 1 dog wears me out! Hope you get good news about your thyroid test! Not gaining is a plus, Just keep up the good work!

Take care every one and have a good weekend. It's my weekend to work! Yuck! Freda

Hello out there in cyberland. The sun has been trying to peek through a little today and that makes me feel a little better.

Well . . . I thought I was making headway last evening. I watched my WATP DVD all the way through and then decided . . . "I can do that". Yep . . . about minute two of the warm-up, I pulled something in the back of my right knee and it's so sore I can hardly walk on it today. So, my great "I can do that" attitude will have to wait a day or two. My exercise for today will be mostly keyboarding (ala 3FC) and drinking water. There was nothing strange about the WATP routine that caused the problem, just my trick joints.

Of course the dog washing counts, Hy. Especially since they are long-haired.

Oh, I've done that, itsforme. So horrible to discover it's only Friday after all. Hey, good work on sending that pound away, though.

Hi Dance . . .Hi Slim. Keep moving and shaking and planning, girls. I don't think I'll ever have to worry about doing too much exercise . . . certainly not at the rate I'm going.

Have a great day all. Here's a dose of to help us along. See you tomorrow.

Checking in with all you beautiful ladies! Yep, I checked twice...today is Saturday! Whew! ( see previous post )

I'm so happy that I've been keeping a personal journal! I'd started this journey January 8th, and although at times I stumble and panic thinking I'm not making progress, all I have to do is start from day one...read...and see just how much I've accomplished. I did that this morning. I recommend it to anyone.

I don't think we know just how far we've come, until we look back. It's so easy to focus on forward and how far we have yet to go, but to look back and see how hard we've been working, how we make the right choices daily and persevere whether we want to or not...well, we all should pat ourselves on the back. Even on my "bad/cheat" days, I exercise more, make healthier food choices and do better than most people on their good days...

So ladies. Just wanted to take this opportunity to commend one and all. This is not for sissies! Keep plugging away and we'll make it to where we want to go!

Morning Ladies,

I haven't said in a couple of days. I've been pretty busy running our foster daughter to appointments. Looks like everyone is doing great and staying on program. FANTASTIC!!

HY...I very much consider washing a dog exercise. My dog Ozzy HATES baths. If he gets an inkling a bath is in the works, he hides. He's only a 20lb poodle, but I have to wash him in my deep laundry tub so he can't escape, and it's no easy task. I don't know who get's wetter, me or the dog.

I didn't get any exercise in yesterday by way of my tapes, but I got it in by cleaning house and doing the laundry. I hate doing it, but the cobwebs were begining to take up residence and had a guest welcome sign out!!

So far this week I have stayed true to myself and stayed on program. Hope to show a nice loss by Monday. Lastnight I couldn't wear my nightgown, it finally fell apart, so I had to dig in my drawer and find something to wear. Pulled out some PJ's that I could never wear, I looked and felt like a stuffed sausage the last time I wore them, which was 7 years a go. Well, they fit and they were even loose! Made me feel GREAT!! Make's me even more want to stay on program.

I'll try to come back later on today to do some more personal post. Want to go up to my room and work on my quilt for awhile. This afternoon, my foster daughter and I are going to the movies.

Make it a good on ladies.

~Cheryl

Hi . . . This morning got off to a foggy start but it is nice and sunny and mild this afternoon. Have to take my sore knee out for some groceries but after that it can rest for a bit. Did the stretching/limbering part of my new Yoga DVD last night and really proved how much I need it. Wow are my arms and shoulders ever tight. Better make this a daily event. At least you don't have to sweat too much.

That was a lovely and inspiring post, itsforme. Thank you for the very good advice.

Wow, Cheryl what a great NSV. Although it is sad to have to say goodbye to your old standby nightgown.

Have a great 'rest of the weekend', gang. Keep up the good stuff and here's an extra dose of See you soon.

Hi everyone, just here checking in and making changes to my tracker. Hope everyone is well.
I haven't been around much because my house is upside down at the moment with painters and carpenters and such. It's such a headache but exciting at the same time. I have to dig my way to find my computer
I really can't wait to get back to being able to check on the group on a regular basis again. Hope everyone is doing well with their weight loss. I have read a few posts and see congrats are due for a lot of you.
I have been able to stick to my diet through all this turmoil here at home, so that is good.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and check in with you all. See ya soon!

Default I'm BAAAAAAACK!

Hey Chickies!

I'm Back from the Islands, Mon (insert Island-type accent) and woooooeeeeeeee do I have a great tan! Missed Ya'll!

Got on the scale this morning and I'm down a pound!!! Am not moving my weight-tracker tho, because it's just too hard to believe with all the Tortuga Rum Cake I ate!!!

Had a wonderful time and Grand Cayman is a wonderful island. It's clean, clean, clean....the people are mega-friendly, you can drink the water & eat the veggies....they have great grocery stores...the beach and water are to-die-for....and I loved it SO MUCH that I bought a time-share, sight unseen by HH!!! How BRAVE is THAT!? SO....now we own a teeny piece of British Virgin Islands Paradise! Headed there again next year for TWO weeks, my SIL's week and our week back-to-back. We're actually going to allow our HH's to go along (they're brothers) for one of the weeks.

Looks like everyone is doing well in my absence, I'm glad to see! Looks like many have lost or maintained their weights....YAY!

More later, Girls.....trying to get caught up around here Gotta get back in the Gazelle groove with my buddy, Tony too. Not today tho....too much to do.
