Liza....I'm here for you!! As a foster parent, my husband and I have gone through what you are going through now. Try to stay strong, surround yourself with family and friends to support you while the investigation is going on. It took two weeks before we were clear of charges, and I know first hand the STRESS you are under.

Teahoney....I also gained 3lbs. I was sooo good this week, but AF decided to pay me a visit yesterday after not being around for 9 months. Thought that phase in my life was over. Guess not! DARN!! Anyway, like you, I'm retaining water. Just feel bloated and miserable. We will both do better next week.

Linda...Glad to hear you got your blood sugar back to normal. We all have days where we continue to graze. :moo:

Countess...:bravo: on your weight loss!!!

Tina...As soon as I get this quilt done, I'll take a picture and post it. It's going to be very hard for me to part with it. It's the first quilt I have designed and it's so beautiful.

Garnet...Hi to you as well! Hope you have a great week! Sunbathing in the birthday suit.:o You are a brave woman! I need to hang out with more often.

Well gals, like I was telling teahoney, I don't feel that great. Bloated and feel sick to my stomach. Hope I feel some relief by morning.

Cheryl

Liza  I understand they need to protect children but I'm sorry you are the one who has to be stressed because your ex is a wonker.

Thanks for the congrats everyone

I'm still here with barely time to read but trying to make more time to read and post so I can keep up. Thank you everyone for the support and encouragement

Hello Ladies

I had a busy day and it warranted a nap. But now I should be, no scratch that, HAVE to be washing clothes. Particularly uniforms for the week. Pooh Bear finally went to the doctor and he now knows he has Bronchitis and says after a few hours on medicine, feels better already. I have a surveyor coming Wednesday to do my property for my new house. I'm scared ladies, scared silly. This is really going to start happening. Ulcer city, here I come. I got 15.2 miles in for my first week of the 100 miles in 100 days (but they'll only allow me to claim 12 a week). But I need to knuckle down more on the food. Always seems I can do two of three, but never three at a time. Sigh. That'll be the trick, I guess. Better scoot my shell to the kitchen to do that laundry.

Happy Tuesday!

Good morning ladies!

Liza, I would strongly consider reporting his harassment against you. I mean after this investigation is over of course. If you had saved those emails it would really help prove your case. What a jerk! I'm so sorry you have to go through this. And I really hope that he gets a taste of his own medicine! Especially to lose his job over it too. Hang in there girl!

Cheryl, I hope your feeling better today.

Countess, hope you find more time for yourself today.

Java, how exciting to be building a new house! We built a year ago...yeah there is stress but it's so worth it on move in day. My advice..really consider all your choices, color schemes, placement of plug-ins, etc. Have fun with it!

Well, my "friend" still isn't here yet. So that may be why the scale hasn't budged since the week before last. I did 4 miles on the treadmill yesterday. And might I say how discouraging it is not to see a change on the scale when you work so hard. I felt like I wanted to go out and buy a big bag of dorritos and eat it all! I'm still trying to muster up the umph to go workout this morning. I don't get it how your body can be so mean! Anyways...I guess I have to do what I'm doing cause there is no way I want to step backwards!

Have a great day all!

TTFN!

Hi . . . another sunny, mild, windy day in Nova Scotia. I can almost smell Spring . . . but it never pays to get too excited until about mid-April around here. :^:

Tina . . . amazing how kids and mud seem to attract each other . . . just be glad you don't have a boy; both of mine seemed to live for it . . . anyway, go out and play in the mud some more and stay away from those chips.

Liza . . . so sorry. It's terrible how mean and hurtful people can be. Hopefully it will all be put to rest really soon.

Cheryl . . . how well I remember that era of "TOM letting go". It goes on (or on and off) for quite a while sometimes, but eventually it will be behind you; just hang in there.

Java . . . Usually I do OK with the food and crummy with the exercise. All any of us can do is our best and sometimes it just seems sooooo hard.

Well, I made it through yesterday in relatively good shape (compared to the way it started). :dizzy: Total calories for the week are within 1% of plan and today (last day of my week) is going along just fine. We'll see what the scale thinks of the week when I weigh-in tomorrow. :crossed: I even managed to do a good 30 minutes of yoga stretches without totally screwing up the knee again (although I do know it's there). :o

Have a great day, everybody. Here's a dose of the good :dust: stuff to get us through the rest of the day. :carrot:

I'm back....

Hey Ladies,

It was a long weekend. My family all drove down to southern Alabama (16 hour drive) for my nephew's service. We got back home yesterday morning and I stayed awake the entire trip back... so needless to say, I was totally exhausted.

I'm not even going to try and go back through the thread, so you all can just tell me what I've missed and what's been going on.

I did not eat well at all while I was gone and just got up the nerve to step on the scale... I'm up a couple of pounds but I am going to leave my ticker where it is because I know this is temporary :D. I have not gotten any exercise in since last week, but I will give it a go sometime today. :workout:

I hope everyone has been well. I'll check back later.

:grouphug:

Yo are doing great turtle!!!:cheer:

Hotcupojava 03-28-2006 05:33 PM

Hello from the desk of DA TURTLE

Hi ladies. It's my "Monday" :( But I'm not too bummed. I'm working alone and there's another surprise DUI patrol that keeps a turtle hopping (and THAT makes the night go faster). I put five miles in on the recumbent bike this morning between laundry and a little "lite" cleaning. More cleaning to do tonight when I get home at midnight. Ugh. :dz:

Garnetfairy:  How are ya?

Teahoney: Great attitude on your "blip". And you're right, it's not an actual, true and/or valid gain. You keep that bright outlook and you're going to kick this thing. We ALL are. :gossip: :grouphug:

Andrewsmum: I'm so sorry for the trouble this "man" is putting you through. Chin up. You know you've done nothing wrong, soon, once THEY see it too, you will rise above it all. Don't let him drag you down. I myself would be plotting evil, but I know YOUR better than that. Remind me why we need men again? Oh yeah, to open jars and cut the grass. Heck no! Turtle has her own tractor! But I guess I still loves me a Pooh Bear.:^:

Cheryl120: I sure hope you feel better real soon.

Countess: You take your time. In fact, you need not try to catch up, it'll just overwhelm you. Why not start everything over from right here? Best of luck to you buddy.

Ladylai: I told you that AF is an evil woman (great, now that ELO song will be stuck in my turtle head) :p Four miles on the dreadmill? Kickin' booty woman! :carrot: And I'm not exactly buidling a house, I'm buying a new double wide trailer. To ME it's a house. I'm going to be on the safe side and go with beige, browns and wood grains. I'm not in to much color. LOL Guess I'm a "natural" turtle.

Mewoee: Me too! I hate it when we get warm temps and gorgeous weather when it's followed by snow and ice again. I'd rather not let it spoil me and just have crappy weather up until it's actually spring. We had upper 70's on one Monday and 36 and snowing the very next night! Hate that! :tantrum: Don't let that warm weather spoil you. That Mother Nature is a tricky, spiteful woman at times.

LadyLane06: Lois, I'm so glad you're back. Rest up and put that long car ride behind you. Your blip is nothing, we can all start over on our plan as soon as we're ready. I know I'm behind you. If I was a "huggy" type person, I'd give you a turtle hug, oh heck... I'd do it anyway. You're definitely in my heart this month. Peace to you.

And Fatgirlnomore and Curlylocks stopping in to see me? I feel like a celebrity.:goodvibes My adoring fans, please! No pictures! :nose:

LadyLai 03-28-2006 11:11 PM

Good evening ladies! Thought I would pop in and see what's up. Had an alright day myself. Nothing exciting happened, just laundry, playing with my daughter and daily duties. I didn't exercise tonight, but I did manage to find the umph to go on the treadmill this morning. I walked/jogged/ran 2miles. Hopefully things get better tomorrow with regards to having motivation. I went back through all my posts to record my weight loss and try to chart it. I found that my best losing weeks are the first and third weeks of the month..funny heh. Maybe your body really does lose the majority in waves. Am I glad that we're just about onto the first of month LOL!

Linda, thanks for the encouragement. I'm gonna try to go grocery shopping tomorrow if the repair man (for my floor) gets outta here fast enough. And I will be bypassing the "goodie" isle!

Lois, great to see you back! I sure did miss you. I know you will get right back on track. I would leave that ticker alone too! How is your family doing btw?

Java, natural tones/colors are really the "in" decor choices these days. You won't go wrong. Congratulations on your new home! Wow, you really rock on that bike girl! Keep that great work!

Have a great night girls. I'm about to watch American Idol.

Night!

Good Morning . . . Atlantic Canada is nice and sunny again this morning and I'm just loving it. Happy to report that another pound has left the body as of my weigh-in this morning. Slow going, but we all know how the tortoise finished up.

Lois . . . glad you're back home and getting back in the groove, too.

Turtle. . . keep up the good exercise and the good work.

Tina . . . life would be better if the body would just learn to cooperate with the mind a little more . . . but we know it will never happen . . . so we just have to learn to be content with what we get.

Anyway, hopefully everybody will have a good day and keep doing all the right stuff and keep moving in the preferred direction . . . downward. :carrot:

LadyLai 03-29-2006 04:10 PM

Wow, it sure is quiet here today. I had to go on the second page, half way down to find us. I sure hope we're not losin' our mojo!

I'm sorta annoyed today. A guy called just as I stepped out of the shower to come take a look at our garage door openers, gave me 15 minutes to get ready b4 he got here. In the end he did nothing! Said sometimes they need just a little tap..good grief! And the guy who was suppose to come for our floor still isn't here yet! I have my whole dining room set in my kitchen and living room! Everything is in my way...*sigh*

Linda, congrats on sending that pound well outta here! Good for you! I'm sure java will love the reference you made about the tortoise. LOL

Well, wherever the rest of you are, hope you're having a great day!

~TINA

meowee 03-29-2006 05:15 PM

Hi Tina . . . I noticed how quiet it is, too. Perhaps everybody is out shaking off some cabin-fever-dust since it is pretty nice all over. Hit 15 here (60 for you southerners, wherever you are) and supposed to be the same again tomorrow and Friday . . . . but did you hear? poor old Newfoundland is still in the middle of a blizzard. Hope they don't send it to us.

ladylane06 03-29-2006 07:27 PM

Hi ladies, and yes it is quiet. I'm still here though! :D

Linda, you could be right... the weather is kinda nice, the :sunny: sun :sunny: had been shining all day today and yesterday here, although the temps could stand to be a tad bit warmer.

Tina, I feel ya... I got a call around noon from my realtor's office telling me someone wanted to see the house between 1 and 2pm... good thing the house was fairly straightened already... living with to teenaged boys, well... let's just say, thay make it hard to keep things in place on a daily basis.

Wow, I did manage to workout yesterday for the first time since last week and last week I think I only managed a couple of workouts.... anyway, I ended up doing only 1 mile last evening. It sure does not take long for your endurance to drop... but on the other hand it doesn't take too much to build it back up. Today I did 2 miles and it felt really good. :workout: Tomorrow I will see if I'm up to two workouts :D

I hope everyone has had a good day... I will check back later.

:grouphug:
