Good Morning . . .

Looks like the heavy snow is going to miss us. At least so far, it is cold but sunny again. Other than that, nothing too exciting going on in my world.

Teahoney and Liza . . . congratulations on your losses. Keep up the great stuff. Countess . . . great scheduling. Too often the personal stuff gets lost in the shuffle.

See you all later, gang. Keep moving and shaking your way through the day. :carrot:

hi y'all, just came back to do my ticker and i have to say i am having a great day today...!!!
firstly i wosnt expecting any loss but lost 3lbs so very pleased bout that obviously:goodscale:
then due to the scale victory i wos feelin totally motivated and pushed myself harder on treadmill than ever have before:tread: i did 2miles without stopping, it took me 43 minutes but stayed on the whole time didnt stop at all. wen i got to about 1.5miles i upped the speed 2knotches to the fastest iv ever done..had to run ..me ....i....moi....running!!! so i ran for almost 0.2miles but to be honest it wosnt a good idea lol, my heart wos going way too fast and i felt like i wos gonna be sick, so slowed it way down and walked slowly till i felt better.
then wen logged in here to do my ticker i got another nice surprise....i had miscalculated (my scales weighs in stones and lbs so have to change it around for on here) anyway must hav still been half asleep wen i weighed this morning cos im actually down 4lbs for the week!!!
oh and its my birthday this week (23rd) im getting old- gonna be 25!!!

Happy Monday!

Hey girls!

Well, it's Monday! A fresh start to what will hopefully be a healthier week for me! I still have a cough coming from somewhere deep within. I haven't exercised since friday, and that was only a moderate paced walk. But the good news is that I've managed to maintain that sickie weight loss. Well...almost I had 1/2lb. back on this morning. So I'm going to claim it! (-33lbs.!!) I've been eating soup for the majority of the time. All meals were back to normal yesterday. My daughter came down with the same thing friday night. What a weekend! Needless to say there wasn't any going out to eat or shop! Now we're both on the mend I feel I can give the treadmill another try this morning. That's all that's new with me, exciting eh!? LOL

Java,
I hope you are able to pass on the second bout of that cold. I really love the idea of joining the walk. Way to go! That will be a great incentive and motivator for you.

Cheryl, thanks for the inquiry. Hope you had a great weekend! I had to chuckle when I read about your hair. I'm sure after a few days things will "dye" down! hahaha!!

Pattybgud, awesome loss! Congratulations, I totally feel your vibes...you go girl!

Garnet, nice to see you are doing well. Thought you had lost us or something. But instead sounds like you were having a good time with your friend. We all need a girls time out once in a while. Glad your arm is on the mend aswell!

Linda, seems like all we do is wait out this awful winter weather! LOL It's a -21 here this morning and somehow we're suppose to shoot up to +3 by this afternoon!! Yeah..I'll believe it when I see it! According to the weather network we're still suppose to have snow this week yet. Shhheeesh already!

Mum, I gotta agree, things seem to be really quiet in this thread lately. Awesome job!! A great loss, glad to see you back in the saddle again! Wooo HOOooo!!

Tracey, one pound is good! We can't expect a great loss every week or this would be too easy! And we couldn't have weight loss made any easier could we! LOL (Time to talk to the person who wrote the manual I'd say!) ;)

Countess, hope you have a great success on your scale today! Good job scheduling yourself. With that determination and motivation you'll meet or be close to your goal no problem! I guess I'll say what we've all heard (to death) by now, a healthy weight loss is between 2-3lbs. a week.

Do you all remember Paula mentioning about trying to fix her computer, maybe she really gave it good "fixin"!! I hope not!

That's all folks, time to hit the treadmill and see how it goes. Have a great day ladies, I'll try to check back later.

TTFN!!
~Tina

Evening ladies. I exercised today and I'm happy for that. I haven't exercised for the last few days and I felt out of whack. I'm going to try and workout a little longer from now on. I'll start slowly and see what comes of it.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

!!

Hello all!

I had a busy weekend, so I am a bit behind...sorry about that!:o We went out of town to visit some friends yesterday, and although I had a great time, I let myself go foodwise. I ate like I wasn't even on a diet, went to a chinese buffet, and had ice cream....the whole 9! I felt soooo bad about it waking up this morning, so I made sure that I did great on my eating and did my workout today. I just needed a day to let go, but I think I took it too far.

Things are still pretty stressful here, we're having money problems, and I still haven't been able to pick up my pills....ugh!

Sorry to hear that Paula still hasn't shown up around here! I hope we hear from her soon!

Teahoney, thanks for responding to my PM RE: Turbo Jam! Once I get some money, I think I will give it a try!

Talk to you all soon, I am soooo tired! Oh, I gave my son a haircut today, I'll post pics tomorrow...if that's okay with you all!;)

Has anyone here bought a microwave apple baker from Richard Simmons?? I got one off ebay without instructions and Richard (or someone posing as him) emailed me that he could not find the instructions that it was a very old product. I was hoping someone here might have one from way back when and be able to tell me how to use it. The person I bought it from said it was an old QVC special item and they did not have the instructions either.

Thought it might be worth it to ask.

Good Morning . . . dull and milder today. For some reason you never seem to be able to get mild and sunny together at this time of year.

Liza . . . Wow, another pound . . . nice to know that all mistakes are not bad. Oh yeah, you're almost over the hill at 25, girl :D Dinosaurs were still roaming the earth when I was 25. :D

Tina . . . So glad everybody at your house is feeling better. I was wondering the same thing about Paula's computer. Certainly hope it's nothing more serious. :^:

Tracey . . . Good on you, girl, for becoming an exercise Diva. ;)

Cassie . . . Sometimes a splurge can serve as a good reinforcement of our overall resolve to do even better.

Garnet . . . Sorry, I've never even heard of one before. Just stick an apple (cored) in it and nuke it in 60 or 30 second intervals until it's soft. Worst that can happen? . . . it'll explode and you'll have a mess to clean up. . . and then you'll know what doesn't work.

Not too much is exciting in my part of the world today. Keep on keeping on, gang. See you soon. :carrot:

Happy Tuesday!

Good day ladies!

Hope you all are well! I'm having an alright day, seems like it's hard to get motivated to get back into things. This flu or whatever it is, is really taking it's time to give my body back to me. Lastnight I did my BL workout but not the high intensity part. That was the first time since last wednesday. I'm still maintaining aswell. It's still kinda funny seeing I'm in the 230's. When I was 9mos. pregnant and ready to pop I was 223. Have you ever heard someone trying to get back to their pregnancy weight!? hahaha Oh my, amazing how your body can change!

Tracey,
keep up the good work! You will sure get great results for pushing your exercise.

Cassie, we all need a day to let go and feel free. The great thing is that you can pick up where you left off at anytime. I hope things start becoming a little stressful for you really soon! Would love to see pictures of your sons new haircut!

Sorry Garnet, I don't know about the apple baker. Maybe try "google"ing it and see if there are online instructions.

Linda, hang in there girl! LOL This weather will surely pass someday! Hope you have a sunny day inside your home!

Mum, you go girl! That's the only way to do it. You're burning calories now! Here's to a another successful weigh in next week!

Have a great day ladies. Hope to see some of our missing friends soon!!!

TTFN!
~Tina

LadyLai 03-21-2006 02:40 PM

Sorry Liza, I don't know too much about excercise videos. I just bought my first one about a month ago and still working on it! LOL

I agree, it's really slow here lately.... hmmm

meowee 03-21-2006 06:26 PM

Hi again . . .

I notice the same thing once in a while, Liza. There's really nothing wrong with talking to yourself occasionally. People come to expect it of you as you get older. :p

The flu can do that to you, Tina. Don't push yourself too hard and you'll be fine again soon. I really got a kick out of your "getting back to your pregnancy weight" comment. With my first pregnancy, I "ballooned" all the way up to 150 pounds and thought I looked like a beach-ball that was about to explode. Now . . . that weight would spell success with a capital S. Amazing how our perspective changes.

Have a good evening. Keep doing the right things and success will follow. :carrot:

Quick peek from work

Hopefully, I'll get a chance for personals later. But for now, it's just a quick check in from work. I have some good news. I had a great week end, I'm up to 3.5 out of 100 miles (uhh quite a ways to go, but I feel good about it) and today I managed to rearrange my computer, computer desk and home made keyboard stand to finally include the mouse. No more stopping the pedals to use the mouse. I'll be on it every time I'm on line. We're actually getting snow accumulations. Dang old Mother Nature is in a PMS mood or something. Sorry so quick and jumbled, but I only get so long on THIS computer before I'm back on the other one. But I'm hoping I'll get a chance to write you later in my shift, but if not, I'm guessing when I get home at midnight and check my mail, I'll find the time to address you all in personals. Continued good luck to you all and I hope you're all okay. No Paula eh? Hmmm

Cheryl120 03-21-2006 09:29 PM

Hi Everyone!

Just a quick check in since I've been having computer problem...Battery. I weighed myself Monday morning and was the same, so I'm happy about that since I ate at Hardee's plus other places. New week, and I'm back on track. Will do post later.

Cheryl

AndrewsMum 03-22-2006 05:44 AM

meowee oh yeah i quite often talk to meself...or the computer...or the tv....really anything that wont answer back haha
yep our perspectives really do change, wen i wos 16 and weighed 115lbs i wos convinced i wos soooo fat, wonder wot that 16yr old would think of my weight now lol!
Tina, full blown flu can really take it outta ya, take it easy for a bit.

i had a browse around the fitness forums and the recommended non dancey not too difficult workout seems to be walk away the pounds. amazon.co.uk is all outta stock tho and cant find it anywhere else.
right im off to get on the tread, catch ya all laters.
