Good Morning . . . another dull kind of day in Atlantic Canada . . . it's OK though, because my mood is kind of dull too . . . wonder which of us will cheer up first, the weather or me? :^:

This morning was my official ww and I've sent another pound to ugly-pound-heaven. As of Sunday, it looked like it would be two, but I guess one of them just wasn't ready to become 'official' yet, so I'll settle for one. :D

Java . . . good going with the exercise. Cheryl . . . practicing maintenance, eh? Liza . . . WATP does seem to be very popular. I'm waiting for delivery of one from Amazon.ca which should be here soon.

Have a great day, everybody. Keep doing the good stuff. See you soon. :carrot:

Snowy Wednesday!

AndrewsMum: Apologize? For motivating us with your exercise? Don't be silly! In fact .... YOU GO GURRRRRL.

Mewoee: You go too gurrl !!! Awesome job.

Cheryl120: When I used to go to TOPS, if you maintained, they said you "Turtled." Well, I'm kind of partial to that term. So smile and say, "I TURTLED!"

LadyLai: I beat that second bout of the flu that tried to grab me. It sure can kick 'yer' butt. Here's hoping you'll recover quickly, because it IS very hard to get yourself back to the pace you were at before the flu bug bit. Take care of yourself and baby step your way back to your schedule.

Garnetfairy: Why don't you try Googling the name of or any markings you find on that apple thingie. Maybe you can find some instructions on line. I"m not much help, I'm not real fond of apples. I like soft yellow ones. But I agree with what someone else said, what's the worst that could happen. Just try nuking it at small intervals.

Cassie1107: I'm sorry your having so much stress. It can effect every aspect of your life. Have you ever tried listening to "relaxing music" or relaxing subliminals as you fall asleep? I downloaded some subliminal tracks (back when you could actually find download sites) and they were for weight loss, but I found that the running water or soothing voices made me drift RIGHT off to sleep and had quite the calming effect during my waking hours. Heavens know they sure didn't do much for my weight loss, but the relaxing, stress relief was great. Hang in there. I hope things turn around for you.

Teahoney: Great job on that exercise, lady. How did increasing the duration go for you?

Pattybgud: 3.2 gone forever! Awesome! Good luck for this week as well.

Well, we're still missing a few, aren't we? I wish them all well.

The roads were really bad coming home last night. So bad that I was twenty minutes late. And silly me, when I took my Aunt to show her the house I'm buying, I emptied everything out of my vehicle, including my ice scraper. So there I was, covered in snow, trying to clean my vehicle (Henry) off with a window washer/squeegie. And the roads were actually bad! Very funny, Mother Nature! I get it! Okay, jokes' over. Bring back spring! I awoke to even more snow on the ground this morning. But it's melting as the morning sun warms up. Sigh...

I'm on the bike and nearing six miles for my morning. Having it set up like this is a great way to make the most of my Internet time. No more feeling guilty for sitting on my butt at the computer!

My Mountaineers (college basketball team) are in the Sweet Sixteen and we play Texas tomorrow night. A coworker can bring the game up on line, so hopefully I'll get to watch it. I'm pretty excited about that. Let's Gooooooo Mountaineers!

Happy Wednesday!

Good morning ladies. I've knocked another pound clear outta here! Yayy!! I love these times!

Linda, isn't it so true though. We think we're huge and now we're envious of getting back to that weight. LOL Congrats on losing that pounder, way to go! Another step closer, it's so great! Hope your day turns out a little better for you.

Java, nice to see you. This place has been more than a little too quiet these past few days. I hope we're not losing momentum. Way to go on getting a dent put on your miles! I'm starting to envy your bike, six miles is amazing!

Cheryl, at least there wasn't a gain. Sometimes you feel relieved when you see a maintainance cuz you've been a little more than endulgent. I had one of those days on monday. I thought that I totally screwed things up, but I was the same the next morning. so Yayyy for us!

Liza, you're very impressive! Be proud of yourself! And don't worry about coming here and letting us know about it. That's what we're here for!

Well, I'm off to go do my walking. Have a wonderful day ladies, talk to you later!

TTFN!
~Tina

Java- I didn't get to increase the duration yesterday but I'm going for it today. I'll post about it later.

AndrewsMum 03-22-2006 01:34 PM

me motivating...well thats a first thank u:D
iv just made a new ticker. teahoney ur one inspired me! seeing as my goal weight is such a loooong way off:dizzy: i thought i needed sumthing on a ticker that i can actually see moving every day so im gonna do a weekly excercise one and as iv done 2miles for the last 3days thats gonna be my target 2miles per day. i think thats do-able, wot d'ya think? so my exercise target is 14miles on the treadmill per week, will restart it every week on mondays which is my weigh in day too.

teahoney 03-22-2006 06:04 PM

Well, I got in an hours exercise today. I think the other day when I didn't feel like I had gotten much of a workout it was because I wasn't giving it my all. Today I really worked and I feel like I had a great workout.

Hotcupojava 03-22-2006 06:18 PM

Ut oh

I was reading in other threads (where I've spotted some of our missing people) and I had this horrible thought: what if it's ME that's chased off our absent posters? I mean, it seems like shortly after I arrived, they started dropping off like flies. Oh wow. :(

Sorry, sorry - I know I've been away!!

TBH - I have trouble dealing when people post bad news. I feel so awful I can never think of anything to say that doesn't sound like platitudes. Then I feel bad that I didn't say anything so I feel too embarrassed to come back.

But I realised that was silly so I came back.

So sorry to hear about your bad news Lois and so sorry I was an idiot who couldn't think of anything to say!!!

Wil catch up on personals later but wanted to share that my size 16s that I could not squeeze into when I bought them are getting BAGGY!!!

Also some of you were wondering about my leotard - I feel brave enough now to post a pic. I took this tonight before I did my DVD.

Can't you just tell I've got a new webcam ;)

Congrats to all the losers and exercisers.

Checkin' In..

Hey ladies! Just a quick check in!

Liza, you have a great idea going there. It's fun when you're able to change the tickers, especially for the good! I still haven't been able to meet my 2 mile goal on the treadmill. I'm up to 1.75m/30mins. and I'm only capable of meeting that because I do a slow jog. Great on you for reaching these goals!!

Tracey,
glad you had a great workout! Keep it coming!

Java, don't be silly!! We're all here for the same reasons! Don't you dare think about disappearing on us, your doing wonderfully!

Robsia, sight for sore eyes! LOL Glad you decided to come back. Don't feel bad, I never know what to say to people either. Deep in the back of your mind you know that there are no words that are going to make them feel better. But it's the thought that you care that counts! You look amazing on your pics, way to go!!

Have a great evening ladies!

~Tina

AndrewsMum 03-22-2006 08:42 PM

I'm here I'm here...
Not doing very well at the moment. I've been eating too much and pmsing too... Took progress pics the other day and got down about that. I look better than I did 17 lbs ago...but 220 is still pretty big-kwim??
I managed to run a mile (no stopping!) Monday and today, but only had time for 20 minutes today and my heart's just not in it right now- I don't know why! I think I'm just a bit run down and obviously hormonal too...
I only have 2 weeks before my big trip and the way I have felt this past week I'm so afraid I'm going to just EAT and gain everything back during that time.
I just need to get a grip and gain some control back. Life is so much better in control, lol.
Glad to see several of you doing so well! I still check here to get motivated, lol.
Anyway, later.

Hello all!
First of all, who is chasing who away?! I post all over 3FC, but I only post here part time because I fall behind and I feel soooo bad! I'll try to do better though, I promise!

My son is soo sick! It started yesterday, and the poor baby is just getting worse and worse, with really bad runs, throwing up EVERYTHING, and a fever. I took him to the doctor this morning, and she said that it's a stomach virus, wrote a perscription of some meds to help with the vomiting, but that's about all she could do. If he can't keep the medicine down, I may have to give the poor baby suppositories.:( I am hoping that he feels better tomorrow, because it's sooooo sad to see him this sick.

As for me, I am still going through a pretty rough time, but thank you all for your support. I finally started taking my anxiety meds today, so I hope that they will kick in soon and I can feel a little more normal.

I have been doing really well with exercising, doing about 45 minutes a day, 6 days a week....but my weight has gone UP for some reason! I had a couple bad days as far as food goes, but I don't think that I did so bad that I would put on weight!:?: Ugh! So now I am going to be working my butt off to get them back down. *sigh*

Sorry for any typos, I am soooo worn out from having a sick baby to tend to!

garnetfairy 03-22-2006 11:05 PM

Cassie - I am sorry to hear your son is ill. i hope he is better very quickly. Congrats on all the exercise. I was reading a book last night that said some people gain before they lose because of the way their metabolism works maybe you are heading for a big loss soon, i hope.

Jelynn - hi, Ive been missing too but I will trade you my 276 for your 220 any time you're ready! I know that doesnt help but you are doing really good and it is up to you whether or not you eat off program on your trip. You know that. You hold the fork and all the power, you just have to decide meal by meal how you are going to eat. You can stay on program if you want to and you know it. What do you want most, to stay on program and keep losing weight and enjoy the trip or go on the trip and take a vacation from the diet and maybe gain it all back and start over when you get home????

Liza- Congrats on the 3 nope 4 pound loss!!! What a nice early birthday present. I hope your day tomorrow is just super! WTG on the exercising!

You could try WATP leslie Sansone videos there is no jumping in those. You might want to do the search on Leslie Sansone instead of WATP, maybe you will bring up a hit on that on the amazon where you live or try your ebay. I got some of mine off of our ebay.

Tina - thanks.nope, I have the thread bookmarked now so i wont get lost again. Congratulations on losing another pound!

Ugh Robsia - you look so damn good it makes me ill! I wanna look like that again...waaaaaa

Tracey - I know what you mean about feeling out of whack when you miss exercising.

meowee - so helpful as always, thank you muchly. Congratulations on losing another pound! I like WATP.

Java - congrats on getting the mouse to work now to get the exercise machine to provide the electricity for the computer...that'l be the next thing.

Hey Cheryl - Glad to hear you did not have a gain! I finally won a copy of the Stomach Formula richard simmons exercise tape on ebay. They have been going for up to 42.00 but I got mine for 16.00. There is one on amazon for 19.00. I sure hope the tape is worth it! I always think about you when i think about Richard Simmons. Do you go to his website and read his daily message? I do, I like them.

I am with ya'll on wanting to get back to pregnancy weight. I dont know what it was but I was about a size 12 at the time.

Well I have not been to the gym this week at all because my parents have been too busy to take me. and I have been sleeping to late to go early. My shoulder is still messed up it is really giving me fits today. But I have been eating right on program!! Did not get to weigh in today but my son is supposed to take me to the gym tomorrow after he gets out of school so I will weigh then if nothing postpones it.

I participate on 4 threads on 3fc and the other one's I am on go so fast I get bogged down when I miss a day let alone a few. I just caught up with all of the threads just now. Although I did not go back and read all the posts I missed on the 300 pound thread.

I have not been on because my shoulder hurts too much to type and use the mouse and it is killing me right now but I was so far behind I had to catch up. Did not go off program except doing floor exercises instead of gym. Not working out as hard as i would like to be but my shoulder urgh I could just rip off my right arm but then I couldnt type or use the mouse so that would not be good and it would affect my ability to hug my son too...so no go.

Turtle - you did not chase anyone away at all. It is probably sun spot activity or something in the air that the government sprayed over parts of the nation affecting people's ability to focus on what they do like these threads. Or maybe there has been a major outage of internet service??? It could be a lot of things; but, I'd bet that it isnt sweet ol' you!
