Hi!
Just a quicky...I am off to bed!
Work is not as bad as I feared...but the plan has changed to a much better one than what was originally made for my position. It is mentally draining! I am haning out for the weekend already!!! But my mentor say I am doing ok
Diet...is dead
Next week...I promise!!!
Alright...I need sleep. I will post a more thorough reply soon, I promise.
Lindor, your diet is NOT dead, and neither is your inner drama queen :-)))
Now, I think you should jump on those scales and see what the verdict is. I bet it isn't as bad as you're imagining it to be.
My walking is fine. I went and had treatment on my achilles tendon tonight, and now I'm strapped up and have been given stern instructions on how to manage it. So I will see how it goes over the next week.
Mind you, I'm sitting here eating a "fun size" Kit Kat, so don't be surprised if I don't lose any weight this week. I don't care - I just feel relieved that I have found a health professional who is happy for me to keep walking!

Diet is dead!!! But I will make a conscious effort to revive it from Monday. And that is a promise! I will weigh in this Monday regardless of how much I fear doing it, and I will drop kgs from there!
It has been a full on week, I am mentally drained. I feel like my brain has turned to mush!!! But, I feel a lot better about my new job than what I did this time last week! Although...next week I am kinda on my own
I have decided as of next week I will be 'dining in' for lunch at work! If hospital food isn't good for you then what is??? I did that today - a plate of sandwiches and a bowl of apple crumble and custard for sweets. It'll save on fuel because I won't be driving home and back for lunch and I can't be tempted by what other junk I seem to find in my cupboards at home.
Next change that I'll work on making will be cycling to work. Now I am not on shifts anymore, it is safer for me. Cycling around my neighbourhood after dark is so dangerous!! But that will happen a little later, once I get used to my new sleeping pattern.
Ani...would cycling be any easier on your achilles tendon? Just a thought? Although I know cycling is NOT easy on the butt cheeks!!!
Kathy, well done on the new diet!! Great progress already!!!
Leeny, sorry I have been so wrapped up in my life, I should have said this before...great news about your husband!!! I hope you had a fantastic celebration!!! Life is really worth it!
How come we haven't had a post from Britt in a while??? Hope she is well
Hey Lindor, this new job of yours might be a great thing. Normal working hours, being able to cycle to work… How are you going with selling the house? I wouldn't give myself too hard a time about your diet - you've had so much going on in your life, that sometimes you just have to stop and take a few deep breaths.
Look at the big picture. Not only have you lost heaps of weight this year, but you've made some big changes in your life. That impresses me a lot.
Compared to you, I'm just starting out. I've got around 20kg to go before I get close to where you are now, and I'm under no illusions that it's going to be a long, slow journey - and that I'll come up against tough times myself. But people like you and Leeny remind me, all the time, of what you can achieve over a long time - if you just remain committed to doing it.
Just because you have a month or two where it gets tough, that doesn't make you a failure. You'll get back on track.
For me, I am just looking forward to the day when I jump on the scales and am BELOW 100kg. When I get there I will have reached my first 'mini-goal', and then I'll get to work on losing the next 5kg!
I think my achilles is OK. I got it strapped professionally the other day, and I'm doing exercises and stuff to keep it stretched and supple. If it doesn't respond, I might try cycling :-)
Well, I havent fallen off the face of the earth...just been to hospital with a sick baby, had teething issues (Carter, not me, haha), not been the greatest on my diet, not getting notification emails, and all around busy as heck. SO, with that out of the way...how is everyone?!?
Leeny, FANTASTIC news about hubby!!
Lindor, I was just thinking...think of this time postively. You still have a bit of weight to lose, but you have been managing your weight that you HAVE lost for these last few weeks while off the plan...which means, you know how to maintain and thats the hardest part of losing! So, think of it as a learning curve and you will be all that more prepared for when you get all of it off!
Way to go Kathy! I lost 3kgs my first week on Tony Fergusson (then had to give it up due to breastfeeding)...and then got greedy (for goodies!), so havent lost any more. Ugh. Stick with it - now that I have had to wean Carter, I might be joining you again...I too liked the convenience of it - and how I felt while on it...
Well, Im sorry Ive been a little MIA the last week or so...like I said, its been a bit crazy and now Carter has a little chest infection going on, so hes whining ALL day long, so dont get much time to myself at the moment. Poor darling. Im glad everyone sounds like theyre doing well for the most part. I went shopping today for Christmas stuff and was looking at all the lovely clothes that I would never be able to wear at my current weight and just thought - why cant I buy those clothes? Whats stopping me from being successful with this? For those of you who have lost a significant amount of weight already, what kept you in it for the long haul? What were your motivations??
Lots of love to you all...have a wonderful night (or day) and Ill be back soon!
Britt

Ani, sorry I scared you...haha. BUT, Im glad that you did get it checked out and now know the best way to manage it so that no further damage is done. Proud of you! And, losing another .9 kilo! You are surely going well my dear!
Now I need to re-set my next mini-goal and get to work on losing another 5kg. I would really like to reach that goal by the end of the year, so I will undoubtedly keep you all posted with my progress.

Way to go Ani!!!! Under 100!!! Great feeling huh???
Kathy, you make your diet sound so easy! I am tempted...but I refuse to go to the shakes. I don't want to have to change what I eat...just the quantity. But I am impressed with your progress, keep it going
Had an extra snack of biscuits and dip last night. Other than that, I did well for yesterday.
Yay Ani - youre under 100kg! What a fantastic feeling! I was almost there when I had Carter (I actually lost 12kgs in pregnancy and then gained back while breastfeeding)...and can imagine how accomplished you feel. Way to go! Youll make under 95kg by the end of the year FOR SURE!
Kathy, I think Ive decided to do the shakes for lunch. I actually need fibre in the mornings so usually have a bowl of Weetbix, but I find I prob do the most damage at lunch and dinner, so if I have the shake for lunch and then concentrate on my dinners, I think I will do well. I too really enjoy the shakes...
Lindor, good for you having a good day yesterday. Today is another winner of a day!
Nothing new to repot here girls. This month is shocking for finances (after a $550 electricity bill!), so cant buy nice veggies and fruits...just trying to make the best choices with what we can afford. I hate that healthy stuff is so much more expensive than crap! Anyway, have a great day!
