Day one done
 
Oy! I managed to make yesterday an actual day 1. I did 30 minutes on my elliptical after I got home at 9 - but before I ate some dinner. I knew if i ate first, I would not work out, so i went ahead and did the elliptical even though I had eaten only breakfast and an apple. I just ate a little dinner, because I was feeling sort of ill, but then at about 11 I was still ravenous, so I toasted up a slice of bread with cheese and salami. Still ended up at only 1141 for the day. maybe my stomach is shrinking. It could shrink on the outside as well as the inside, that would be nice! More likely i'm just tired and grumpy and even eating is too much effort.

So, Apple? Did you make it through day 21? I am sure you did!!!

Stagemom, you are close to 21 on your chocolate as well - one more day, you can do it!

I haven't decided what to do on my next challenge. Hmmmm, I'll let you know.

Ive been getting my jeans and tops from the thrift stores... no use in spending a bunch of money on clothes that i plan to shrink out of...

Day 19 of no wine completed yesterday. As for chocolate, since abandonong the no-choc challenge I've been wallowing in a vat of sweets, trying to see how quickly I can get back to 200. :( The next challenge will have to start on the 27th, I think. New Year's is not a prob for me, as I have no sweetheart :cry: and no family excesses planned. The last of the parties is on the 28th.

Another mag (First) has done an article on the 3-day fruit diet. I think it's a sign that I should do a quick fast between Xmas and New Year's, just to get rid of this silly bloat before it moves the rest of it's lumpy family in. So, Apple, wanna plan to do it together? The mag is in the supermarkets now, it's one of those weekly ones, sort of a tabloid but not gossip. It has a 3-day menu in it.

OK, Carla, you're on. Just let me know when you want to start, since you have that party....as long as it's over by the 31st. New Years eve is a big munch fest for us. We don't have a big meal but there are appetizers all over the place!! I will have to be under control but a fruit fast on that day is out of the question!!!:hat:
I finished the challenge! And I plan on keeping the sit ups and weights going but I don't have to do them EVERY DAY anymore.
I have to think up something really good for my next challenge. Probably looking at a calorie limit and another walking challenge....

Apple, it may have to wait until the 1st - which will give you plenty of time to acquire the mag. There's also a website I'll check out - if it's any good I'll PM it to you. I'll still be at my wicked SM's on the 26th, so can't start then (not worth the grief explaining it, being mocked, etc). And I have the party on the 28th or 29th, and you have the 31st.... The article claims a 9 pound loss, so I think 2 or 3 lbs is reasonable, as long as I get back on my doctor's diet right after and stay there.

Busy. Busy. No time to catch up. Just wanted to say a big Congratulations to Apple and stage for completing your challenges!! :cp: :woo: :cp: Apple, just want to say I'm especially proud of you for not giving in despite other stress! :yes: I think a calorie limit may help you knock the weight off, but I would keep it HIGH and very doable so you don't just set yourself for failure, especially if you're feeling blue. Hope you get that new cat soon. There are SO many who need you desperately!

I can report another day notched on both my challenges, which means Day 6 on caff, Day 8 on crunches are done!! Hurrah! :sunny:

Okay... I blew my second running challenge. It was more or less of a decision, though two "pause days" in a row are at the core. I'm just trying to upload some photos into an online photo album, and it's not working and driving me nuts...

I'll be re-starting the running challenge after Christmas, and a second one as well. And no, the running challenge is about running, so I won't be expanding here. Any other exercise would be just as difficult to fit in - for running, all I need is to put workout clothes on and go for a walk. I don't really have opportunities to exercise here, other than the hateful stationary bike, but that's my other challenge.

Anyhow, hope everyone is having a great Christmas! :cb: :cheer:

Ok, all, I'm calling this a day. I'm taking a pause day on the crunches, just because I haven't yet and I just want a break. Caffeine is okay, so Day 7 done on caff, Day 8 holding on crunches.

It's Christmas Eve here and I had a long time. Got to ride then rushed in to the office for a shift. Big race tomorrow and I'll be reporting from the track. Wishing you all a
