"iLL-FITTING BRAS, HORNY DOGS, WELL RESTED PEOPLE, RUSHING PEOPLE, HARD WORKING PEOPLE, THE SMELL OF GARLIC BREAD.......YES THESE ARE THE WORLDLY CHICKS AT IT AGAIN! " This kinda sums up my whole life Mel...LOL!!!!!!!!!!!
Shad and Ceejay I commented in your journals.
Happy! HI!
Linus~ "hi folks ,everythings chaotic here never had time to pause for thought {which would explain soooooooo much} never mind rest". The doc/chicks orders you to to rest, breathe and be kind to yourself!!
Anxious niggling thoughts.
Why o why o why cant we ever get a little bit ahead with money.
Every month we are a little bit short. We just spent $500 on my van. It is a necessity to drive where we live. How am I going to tell the kids that they cant go on endless rides at Gala Days this weekend? I wont be going to the dance this year.
All my t shirts are stained and holey. I found 1 at Giant Tiger $9.99 that washed up well and fit well so I went and got 3 more. I also spent $3 at the dollar store to decorate the kids bikes for the parade. I am NOT a big spender. I dont want to look like a bag lady. My Mom spends $60 on a t shirt.
I am feeling bad about it.
DH is laid off for next week. There is so much for him to do here but we will miss the income.
The other niggle is that I sent a friendly email to mom and dad and sis and invited them to come different parts of the weekend to see the kids and to baseball and I told them about Tyler drowning. No response from any of them.
It hurts.
Yeterday was hot, busy, but good. I think the heat makes me tired. After the extra kids go home at 4:30 I lay down til 5. I set a timer put on Dora for my kids and snooze.
Good sleep last night. 7 kids today my helper is coming for the morning. DH is home but has “chores” to do. I want him to start working on the front deck or possible finish the bathroom.
Deep breath. Have another coffee. Tidy, tidy, tidy.

In for just a quick post cause it's late, 10:00 p.m. my time.
Could barely get up out of the bed so I went to the doctor. Glad I did. Found out that I have inflammation of the hip joint. I asked the doc if it were
arthritis and he said probably, without x-ray's you can't be sure. oh boy--now how old did that make me feel!!!!! We had a good conversation. He's going to be grandpa in September, his first and it's a boy. He was elated. Told him about me having to go to the ear, nose and throat doctor when he was on vacation and him wanting me to have allergy testing. He wasn't for it. I may back out of it again and save myself some money.
He gave me an injection of cortizone and sprayed ether on my back before hand but I still felt that long needle hit the hip joint. Told me I might have to have another one next week if it doesn't clear up by then. OUCH. No exercise this week either. So I'm going to cut my calories to 1200 to 1300 and see what happens. He was happy to see a loss this time.
Mel--I'm feeling that money crunch this week. I'm trying not to use my credit card, wish I had today. I got another offer on a credit card for 3.99% interest until the balance is paid. I jumped on that.
Hello to all the rest. I'll comment more tomorrow.

Hiya all
Been a busy day today. I have dusted, swept, sanded, cleaned, washed, folded, dusted some more, changed the washers in the taps and am now in the process of processing the veges I bought today into soup and also roast vege for salads during the week. The roasted red peppers are done, now the veges are in for their turn. I still have to prepare the eggplant and do some onions. But we are getting there. Then I am about to do some fish chowder and pumpkin soup. I also have some bananas that will either be made into banana cake or chucked. I won't eat them when they get to this point.
I think I also have a problem with my ceiling. I'm not yet sure, but I was plastering up there today and there seems to be a distinct lack of wood in a couple of areas. I poked a rather large hole in it trying to find the beam to screw up the plasterboard. Maybe tomorrow I will have to get into the ceiling space to see if there is something happening up there. Keep your fingers crossed that I don't fall through or something else stupid!!!!
Tomorrow is some more sanding and some paint. And I guess I will have to dust again. I am going to a jewellery party in the afternoon. I hope we don't have to sit around there to long. Only promised to go because of a good friend. It will do me good to get out of the house, but there is still so much to do here. At the moment, whatever I get done is visible, which is one reason why I want to get on with it. Preparation seems to take so long and you don't really get to see much for it.
Ceejay - so sorry to hear about the hip. Hope it all comes right soon. Keep to gentle movements. No bending down to pick up 70kg weights or anything. I always think it helps to give the joints gentle movement to keep the muscles working. If they seize up as well, you are in real trouble. Congratulations on the weight loss too.
Linus do you ever get any real rest?? You are going to end up with a hyperactive baby the way you are carrying on. Good job on getting the yard cleared. Next time we see a picture will there be a Ground Force garden in there???
Hiya Mel, sounds like you are having a busy time there - trying to be a better poster huh? Is that an anti-smoking poster or one of those posters that advertise using hunky firemen to sell yoghurt.
Happy - all those Memphis' and all in the US. Yes I will be thinking of how to get to and from Italy/ Switzerland and will probably do another RTW trip. It is a bit more expensive than a return ticket, but you do get a lot more for your money. Will need to consult with my man Shane of the Travel Agency about what I can get and the best way to go about what I want to do, once I decide what I want to do that is.
Holly - glad to hear the hives are gone, maybe it was just stress and too much bad stuff going on. I alway find that too much vitamin B will do it for me. Oh the pain.
Where have we all gotten to?? Hello Tig, Teel, YP1 Meadow, Nae. Who else are we missing?
Gotta go. Catch up again tomorrow.

Hi y'all. Zoom, zoom, lurking at the moment. I have neighborhood newsletters to deliver this morning in between the rain drops. We're getting soaked. Pool is about to overflow. Getting more rain now than when the hurricane passed us over. Go figure would send some Shad's way if I only knew how.
Anyway, this not morning person has to get busy.
Shad be careful with that ceiling. Rest that hip Ceejay. Take a breather Holly and Linus and hello to Mel and her firemen posters. Hellos to the rest of the gang in the interim. Back later...

Having a bit of bad luck this week-end. Called the land lord about 4 p.m. yesterday and told her the A.C. was dieing. She sent out the repairman but all he did was tape up some big gaps around the piping. Last night around 12:30 a.m. (had to go pee) I checked on it again. It was frozen solid. I turned it off. It took till 3 a.m. for the bedroom to cool down with the window's open and the 2 fans going. I called them again this morning but evidently they don't work on Saturday's. I have a feeling this repairman is wanting to put in a new system. Good thing it's overcast with rain today.
On the brighter side of things I might loose an extra pound.
Mel--wanta come clean for me. I'm so glad that I've finished my bigger projects of discarding etc. I'm to the point now that I can take a couple of rooms per day and have a tidy house all week.
Joy--Do be careful climbing around.
Happy--Carry an umbrella while you are making deliveries. We are getting some rain that may be coming your way.
Hello to Linus, Holly, Nae and Tig have a good week end.

Have a few minutes while I have a bit of toast and a cup of coffee. Then I need to get back into it. Sanding and plastering will take up much of this morning and then when I get home, there should be enough light to add some paint to the ceiling and walls. Mind you if I keep at it, I should be able to get some painted before I go out. Really don't know why I said I would go to this jewellery party. I don't want any jewellery really. Guess it was just to go out with a friend and see something outside my own house.
Went up into the ceiling this morning. There is no problem with the timber in that corner mainly because the timber is nowhere near the nail that the builder hammered in to the plasterboard. Aaargggh. Now there is a whole stack of little beasties (spiders) living up there so I got tangled up in a couple of webs. I now need a good soak in the tub to get rid of the feeling.
Feeling a bit sore this morning after that mammoth effort at the gym yesterday. It will go away no doubt. Wonder when the muscles will get limber enough not to hurt anymore??? It seems that I am always finding new ones here and there and there.
Happy - scoot around in that rain. Keep the pace up but do be careful of slippery pavement and uneven pavement. We do not want to hear about your back again. And besides can't have Ceejay and you both having bad times with backs and hips and movement.
Mel so good to have a good day. May it carry on all weekend. That chair sounds fantastic for getting into places you can't reach properly.
Spoke to Teel on the phone last night. She seems to have had a good time on her holiday - apart from the Anarchists that is. She even got chatted up by a BLOKE. There now she will have to come back and tell you all about it!
That's about it. Coffee break over. Back to work. Can you all hear the whip cracking?

Shad, did you have at least a bit of a fun outing with your friend. Interesting that you should mention going out. It does seem like life is revolving around working, gym, and the house - period. When do you get a bit of relaxing? I know, it makes it harder when you're going during the long work days. But sometimes a girl has to have something to look forward to more than sanding and playing with her power toys! Weekends go too fast as it is. And thank you for the update on Teel.
Teel was flirting!! Whoo hoo. - C'mon, give us the details, eh girl?
Ceejay that doesn't sound good at all with the AC. Does this mean the landlord will drag their feet getting the new unit in? It sure is muggy and terribly humid on this side of the river. Not the weather to be without AC.
Mel, I can hear the joy in your voice just being able to do things with your rise up and get 'em chair. I know you're most happy when you're buzzing and cleaning. Just don't over do it, ok? I'm glad to hear that you had a wonderful weekend too.
So Linus, what's going in the new garden - flowers or veggies?
Holly as far as spending $3 or $60 on a T-shirt. It's all about a sense of style. You can take the easy route and pay 10 times the price to try and look *trendy* or if you have a good sense of style, you can look fabulous in an $12 outfit - complete with top, bottom and shoes! Don't let anyone make you feel badly. You talking about holey T-shirts reminded me that I finally in my life had a T-shirt that I loved but it was so worn and torn and full of holes. The neckline band was coming away and I think if anyone tugged hard, the sleeves would have come off. I had a hard time parting with that shirt - I finally understood -- just for a microsecond - how guys were. Mind you this was a workout T-shirt, not something I'd go out in public with. Anyway, I hope the money situation improves. Seems like you either have time or money but never both.
I did get part 1 of my newsletters done - at least I got them off to the people who will be helping to distribute them in the neighborhood. It was hot and steamy today and I decided to head back home when done to pick up some lunch. We're out of everything so I decided to pick up some fried chicken from a place DH likes. Bad move on my part. It was a little spicy - they seem to like spicy down this way - and it upset my stomach. I have 35 newsletters to deliver to individual homes - I'm covering routes for some who are ill or out of town this weekend. I tried to head out 3 times but it was not to be. So I stayed home and at least cleaned up my kitchen which was bugging me. Sunday is going to be one of those hurry up days I hate - too much to do, not enough time. I have to get out early and do my deliveries as it's supposed to rain again - possibly hard - in the afternoon. DH rerouted my dryer vent - can you believe they had it discharging into the garage???? They say it's legal here because one wall is latice work bricks - not closed in but I was never comfortable with it. Do you know how combustible dryer lint is? Well bless his heart, it now routes directly outside like it should. This does mean I am backed up on laundry with 5 loads to do tomorrow. And it was a hectic week which meant off plan, cheatin' eatin' and I am looking forward to better eating this coming week. That means a trip to the grocery store too. I did go to the super Wal-mart store and could have done my grocery shopping there but it was sooooo crowded I had to check and see if they were giving things away for free. (No they weren't). But I was supposed to be out getting lunch and that would have tied me up for a good hour and a half and I didn't want DH to send out the dogs looking for me. So it's going to be a pretty hectic day. And I have a new friend who wants to ride bicycles. I am not skinny, fit and athletic like her so I have to dig out the bike and get used to riding again lest I fall over and poop out after 20 minutes. Especially since it's somewhat hilly around here. DH will just pop on his bike and ride like the wind, and I could too if I had his muscle. Just another nagging thing to remind me of all the things I should be doing... which won't get done if I stay up half the night so it's off to bed for me. Pleasant dreams to those of us on this side of the equator while Shad at this point is already well into her work day -- in fact she's even past lunch and on the better side of the quitting bell by now. See you later...
