Great Job to everyone sticking to thier programs. I feel great today. Its a gorgeous day here in fort worth. Sunny and around 75. I cant wait to get out and walk around. Well hope everyone is having a good day. Bye Bye for now.
Hello girls! It's a beautiful day here in Arizona. It's a bit on the chilly side, but nice. We are hoping lay sod in our yard over the weekend, so I am hoping the sun decides to stick around.
I had a bad eating day yesterday, but I logged every point of it and still have a few flexxies left to get me through the week. I just feel guilty, I guess. I was full and just kept on going. YUCK! I hate that feeling.
Karen - Unfortunately, for the moment, I haven't had the opportunity to work on really "great" things. I got out of school less than 2 years ago only, and so far I've been working for a small company developing software. Mainly I was in charge of the documentations, marketing documents, posters, kakemono etc. Right now, though, I'm looking for another job, even if it'll probably mean having to live in another town during the whole week to perform said job. The current one is just too limited, they don't have the needs of an advertisement agency, for instance, or of a big company, plus they're going too much into a policy of "we want to simplify our documents the most possible", which means I can't develop into further projects, as it'd go against this (I mean "simplify" as in "with the techniques involved"; as much as I like their new web interface that allows neat and fast editing/translations, it doesn't leave me much graphic/design work to do, and the rest of the work is just not enough anymore for me).
Apart from this, things aren't bad, much to do and to think about regarding the house, the job thing and various aspects of the great real life out there, but we've survived until now, so we can likely survive to these too
Hi everyone I'm Kim. The other Kim's neighbor. LOL i know confusing, but we'll manage to sort it all out I'm sure. I started the South Beach diet on Monday. So far I've dropped 2lbs, not sure if it's water weight or what, but it was gone this morning when i weighed and I'm not gonna argue. I do have a question or two if anyone in this group is on South beach. I'm not sure on portions of certain things and I cant really find that information on the books Kim lent to me.
We're going on walks every morning and I'm thinking of joining a local gym. My husband (stick man as I so fondly call him) wants to work out so I'll use this as my excuse to sign up. No, this isn't going to affect my walks, I plan to take a class or so in the early afternoon. I'm bad with motivation so maybe having a set class to go to will help out.
I'm a stay at home mom of 4 girls. They keep me busy, but obviously not busy enough to keep the weight off lol.

Hey chicks! I'm sitting here just catching the end of Bridget Jones 2...its so funny! The cat will not leave the hedgehog alone. She knocked his cage over and he rolled up in a ball. Well, she took this as he wanted to play. So, she started playing "soccer" with him. Poor thing.
The new KIM- Hey girl! You're in Hernando too, right? I'm from Jackson and my husband is from Biloxi. Welcome to the thread! I'll call you GoddessKim from now on, is that ok? How do you like SB so far?
Karen- That is so awesome that you and your husband are going to do dance lessons! What a great way to get moving. By the way, Nic is no longer irritating me. I was very touchy this morning. I went to bed late and woke up early. I tried to go to sleep tonight but cant for some reason. Now that Nics at work, I miss him. UGH. How is everything with you?
Lynn- You just posted while I was reading everything! How are you? Im not sure what the hedgehog is yet. Hes still a little skiddish around us. I dont want to violate him just yet. Oh and his name is Brillopad...Brillo for short.
Dina- I always feel guilty when I go over points...even if Im using the Flex points. Hmm...not sure why.
Ok girls, Im going to go write a few emails now. Ill check back soon.
Deanne, Yes I'm in Hernando, but I'm not from this area originally. My hubby was in the Army and when he got out we ended up here. I like the small town life. It's quiet and the people are friendly. I grew up in NW IN right outside of Chicago so it's really different here. So far South beach is going well. I hardly miss the sugar to be honest although I did get a **** of a headache yesterday and I'm thinking it was sugar withdrawal. I tried weight watchers last year and I had ok results, but it was expensive and I just couldn't justify 200 for 15lbs lol. Where are you and your hubby stationed at? We lived a little of everywhere while we were military. The only down side was that he was gone ALL THE TIME. 280 days in the field and he was on the initial deployment to Bosnia so he was gone for a year there. Basically I was a single mom I just wasn't allowed to date lol
And yes, feel free to call me anything you like.. around here I usually answer to "hey you" lol

GoddessKim- Wow that was a quick reply! Nic and I are in Doha, Qatar. Hes not in the Military anymore. Actually, he got out of the Marines a year before we met. He came home from Iraq and got straight out. I couldnt imagine being away from him for 280 days!! My Dad was in the Navy and I remember how hard that was for my Mom. Nic works on the Army base here. He is basically an MP but civilian. Its with a government contracting company. WW online isnt too expensive. Its $65 for 3 months. I think I will order the calculator from Ebay so I can take it to restaurants. Then, there will be NO excuse to overeat. What all can you eat with the SB diet? What all CANT you eat?
On South Beach you can't have any sugar and I mean ANY sugar for 2 weeks. No processed carbs like bread, pastries, cereal that sort of stuff and no fruit for 2 weeks. But you can have meats, low fat cheeses, veggies, dairy. It's not to limiting, but it does have it challenges. I'm still trying to figure out some of the things. I'm not to sure on portions and such, but I'm learning and that's all that counts..
Oh and my brother does two month tours over in Iraq with the Black Water group. Personally I think he's an idiot, but I can't make his decisions for him.

There have been several people go from here to Iraq with Black Water. I think if Nic was single, he would go to Iraq. Id kick his a$$ otherwise.
SB sounds good. I just dont think I could cut out the carbs though.
I didn't think I could either, but it's been amazingly painless. My big killer is the easter candy that all of the kids have. SO I bought those clear storage containers for them to stick all their candy in and put it in the pantry so out of site out of mind for me. I just couldnt bare to look at it everytime i walked into the kitchen.
My brother isn't single. He has a wife and 2 small kids at home. I think maybe my mom dropped him on his head a couple of times.

HAHAHA...Yea, but he is making very good money there. My husband got offered a job that pays $8k tax free per month for a year contract. Still, its not worth the risk. He makes good money here and we're safe.
So, WW didnt work for you? What didnt you like about it other than the price?
I see my neighbor found us! YEA! !
By the way, My legs hurt!
I honestly didn't think I could ever kick the carbs. I lived on them. But this has not been too bad, Not to say I don't miss them, cause I do. I am looking forward to getting some back in 1 1/2 weeks!
I am tryng to stay off the scales and weigh once a week. I am such a scale freak.
Deanne, what did you name your new hedgehog?
Gorgeous day here is Mississippi. Hope you all had a nice one to enjoy!
