Hi vixens,

Not sure how Im going to keep up with all the posting! Whew! I just logged on and dont know where to start!

Thanks to all of you who welcomed me....purple, not sure if it was you who mentioned wanting to visit Australia?? I would recommend it to ANYONE! I completely love it here and cant imagine moving back to the states, even if it is my home at heart...

Well, didnt weigh in today...probably wont until next week. I just cant get myself back into it. I do SO good at work and then once I get home, all I want to do it sit in front of the tv and eat for the hour I have at home before all my nightly activity...<sigh> its an issue I think...a mindest I need to get out of quickly!!

Other than that, am butting into the Vixen Challenge...I think I can do it! I already drink 3 litres of water a day, but can certainly step up in the exercise department...count me in!

Elyn, have a couple of friends in Denmark and would LOVE to visit!! Whats the best time of the year to go?

Ok, well, off to bed with me....have to get up early to WALK (ugh!).

Love to you all!
Britt

Hey chickas...its 5pm here...early your time. My eating is back on track...FINALLY!! I took a muscle relaxer last night for my back. It made me sleep for 15 hours! I wont be able to sleep tonight im sure. At least I stayed on the diet. That is the main thing I need to concentrate on right now I think.

Deanne~~Oh yes, I do SOOOO want to eat when I'm bored, that is how I piled up all these weight. Do you like living in the middle east? I can see that you live near the base, and I guess in an area where foreigners live. Do you ever go where the locals live, is it safe? When you will finally get a job, will it be at the base?
Is WW online as good as their regular program?

Elyn- I love living in the Middle East. My husband and I both grew up over here. We do live near the base in a compound. My husbands cooworkers live here and the rest of the people are Westerners. The locals are all around us. We think its safe. Nothing has ever happened to us. The guys are like dogs in heat so I dont go out walking by myself. They're used to seeing women covered. When I do get a job, it will most likely be on the base. Thats where the money is. Anyway, Im not sure if WW online is as good as the other program or not. I like it alot though.

Britt- Im skipping weigh in this week too. Im too scared to get on that scale. Oh, I used to live in New Castle, Australia. Loved it!

Ill post later...

Love,
Deanne

Good morning all! Finally a decent day in the Nations Capital. Yesterday was icky and rainy so I couldn't go for a walk. I hate feeling lazy!

So here is my dilema of the day, last night I found out I weigh more than my boyfriend. UGH-What an awful, awful feeling!

So now today I have all these negative vibes and I'm not feeling so great.

The other thing is, I just don't see any changes when I look at myself in the mirror. Even though I've lost 27 pounds, I still look the exact same as I did 27 pounds ago. And no one has noticed at all either! I saw some friends I haven't seen since December this weekend and they didn't notice. The only person who has said something is my best friend who knows I'm dieting and I think she just said it to be encouraging. I'm not sure she see's a real difference either.

Now I'm not giving up. I'm going to keep working hard. I just wish I saw results by now. I've been dieting for 71 days and want to look different for crying out loud!

Hey Soccer! Your signature says "small victories matter too"...this is so true!! You know, some people notice weight loss in their friends but dont want to say anything. I know this sounds stupid but heres an example. Theres a girl that I know here and I only see her every once in a while. The other night I saw her and noticed that she had lost weight. I was scared to say anything because I was scared of implying that I thought she was fat before. Which is not true. After she left, I told my husband that she looked like she had lost weight. He agreed. So, i dont know if this will help or not. Did you take a picture before you lost your weight? If so, take a picture of yourself now. You can compare them. I promise you'll see some changes. The main part that Ive noticed a change in is my neck. Ok, good luck!

Love,
Deanne

Good morning Vixens! (For some reason I always think of Charlie's Angels when I read or type that...silly, I know.)

Well, after a challenging Easter week and a killer period, I walked away from WI down 1 pound. Not alot, but hey, it's a loss and I'll take it!

I'm printing out the challenge post right now so I can check them off as I go everyday. I'm really pumped about it! Although, I must admit I didn't see it until this morning when I logged in and last night I ate the last of the Easter M&M's. A good 10 pts. worth too! Darn it! Oh well, atleast they are gone for good now right!?!

Default Tuesday

This week is moving slowly but at least it is moving. I would love to do the challenge. It gives me something to work for. Deanne, you have a hedgehog? is it nice? i just have a little puppy and he drives me crazy at times.
Well yesterday me and my trainer ran around some building and last week i did it in 1:30 and this week i did it in 1:20, 10 seconds faster. I was so excited. I've noticed its getting easier for me to work out, i think i need to step it up a little and challenge myself a little more. Since I havent lost anything in 2 weeks i am really watching myself this week that way i can get back on track and start loosing again. I figured out by talking to soccer i need to count my calories and i have kind of made myself a eating schedule so i am not eating at night. So I think i got things all in order, now just to do, i am doing good so far, just gotta keep it going. Well talk to you all later.

Wow! Hello everyone! And a big hello to all the newbies! And Welcome!
Well, my dad started chemo yesterday and we were there ALL day. My brother took him today, so I will probably take him tomorrow. They couldn't get his porto-cath to work so it took extra time to give him a blood thinner to open it back up so they could give him the miedication. Anyway, I forced myself to eat a good, no carb breakfast. I didn't get lunch till 2 but I was actually ok. I usually strat shaking if it has been too long but apparently the breakfast I had helped. I had to choke it down though. I am not a first thing in the morning eater. But I did it.
Oh, and I also walked! I walked again this morning. It is killing me. My breathing is ok, which is what I was worried about. BUT MY LEGS! I have to tell my friend to slow down for a minute and let me stretch more. I am so out of shape!!!!! I stretched before I walked, but it still hurt so bad. What a whimp I am!!!!
I am drinking lots of water too. I am a diet coke nut. but I managed not to even have one of those yesterday. I am very motivated so PLEASE count me in on the challenge! I am ready to lose all this weight!!!
DON"T GIVE UP!!! You are so worth it!!!!!!!!!

Hi ladies~

Don't have long because I need to run to the dentist and get a crown put on a tooth. Oh what fun that will be--NOT! But a girls gotta do, what a girls gotta do!

Just thought I would chime in on Deanne's note to Soccergirl. I agree! I think often people think about the way people look without actually saying it. Just ask yourself how often you have done the same thing with other people (made a mental note but didn't even whisper what you noticed). And then as Deanne said, think of the differences in yourself. I have to admit, I notice it in my underwear first. Not such a bad thing! Some people may even think you look good, but just aren't sure why (men will think~geez did she cut her hair? I just don't know!) It's true. Bottom line--you are doing great and as your signature line says "SMALL VICTORIES MATTER TOO"! So true! Chin up girly! :-)

Hey Kim, sorry to hear about your dad. My family has been struck with cancer many times, so many times its hard to keep count so i know what your going through, just stay strong. But it sounds like you are doing a wonderful job, you are a very strong person, to be able to deal with that and trying to stick with your diet. I respect you for that. Well We are all here for you for anything you need.

Thank you Karen and Jessica! My dad is an incredible man. He is 70 and has had heart problems, back problems, etc. His attitude is awesome. I hope it stays that way. That helps he and I both so much. He and my mom are part of the reason I want to lose weight. My mother is in such bad health. She is 68. She can barely walk. I am built just like her and I know that I will end up that way too. I want to travel and be SUPER active when I am her age! Not stuck at home on oxygen and hurting so bad I can't walk. I gotta start working on it now! Wohoo! A new me!!!!!!!!!

Kim- You motivate me! Even though you are going through a tough time, you are able to stay on your diet. You are so amazing! Thank you Oh, by the way, the guy that got into the car wreck. His great grandfather was Ross Barnett. Sound familiar?

Deanne, Are we talking like former governor Ross Barnett? Sounds very familiar. Is this the friend that drove? Or the passenger? WOW! And thanks for your kind words! I am sitting here right now eating lunch.......Tuna w/very little LIGHT mayo. and tomatoes and cucumbers with balsamic vinaigrette. NOT BAD! And of course, water. I hate water. I can't wait till I can get my veggie garden in. I didn't do one last year and I really missed it. Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, YUM! I love summer home grown veggies!!! Did I say I hate water? BUT I am drinking it. They say if you drink it all the time, you develope a 'taste' for it. No diet cokes in 2 days. I am saving those for when I can not stand the water any more. I am always thirsty when that is all I drink anyway. I am doing great! Feel great, just a little sore in the legs.
Oh Dina, Remember, every single pound counts!!!! YEA!!!!!!!!
