Sorry I havent posted but I wasnt getting my emails so I didnt think anyone was around.
I am trying to diet today but it isnt going so well mentally. I just dont want to do it. I am at like 215!!! but I really dont care anymore I think.
We are looking into renting a storefront in Greenville(major tourist town) It is right across from Moosehead Lake so we would hopefully do well and not have to worry about dealing with accounts that will drop us with no notice. We went and looked at it yesterday and the owner has to figure out what he wants for rent and he will call us. The spot was cute. We want to put in a showcase and sell all the Maine Made gourmet foods like I sent you guys for Christmas. Noone up there really does that it is just mainly gift shops so I think it would go over nicely. It is about 26 miles from my house so we would have to commute but I cant think of anything eles to do. Plus if it took off it would be fun.

Hi girls, I'm super busy right now but I wanted to say hello. I'm sneaking away to the eye doctor in a few but I will be back later. I really hate Mondays...all the people w/plumbing problems who held off over the weekend are demanding service today. Sorry Charlie, but did it ever occur to you that we might be fully scheduled already? At least the calls are coming though. Yuck, I ate too much yesterday, definitely not OP but definitely not as much food as i ate last weekend, so small victories. We had broiled steak (no BBQ since it was too rainy) and a nice baked salmon filet. I am back OP today and will try and go walking this evening if it stays dry. Don't know if more rain is forecast but the sky is a beautiful blue today.
Angie, I wasn't getting my email notifications either then this morning I get a whole slew of 'em from 4 days ago. I think they (3FC) were working on a problem w/the returned emails--like the people w/firewalls and spam blockers etc. Hey girl, your new storefront idea sounds like a good one. I'll cross my fingers for you for a reasonable rent. If it makes you feel better, I probably weigh more than you do--that's from slacking off since last March But I'm working on it

Kempy, men suck I know you won't give up and it will only serve to make you more determined to kick @ss in losing weight. I can be so competitive about it. I know Rick is getting back into dieting as well and once he starts, he stays so committed I want to strangle him sometimes. Especially when I want to cheat and he just won't Press on girl.

I'm feeling better. I am on medication for my blood pressure. On Friday it was 156 over 114. I went to the doctor today and it was down (though it's still high) 152 over 100. I am taking 2 medications for it. I have to have the nurse at school take my blood pressure twice a day and I write it down; I go back to the doctor next Monday. The meds the dr put me on over the weekend did help; I feel a lot better, no pain, but still very tired. I also asked the doctor about weight loss. She said to go online and check out the American Diabetes Assoc. She said that all good eating plans start with the ADA standards. I'm going to check it out. Luckily, I don't have diabetes, but maybe this way I won't have to worry about getting it.
I stayed home today to rest. Hubby actually subbed for me at school. He said that the kiddos did pretty well. He kept reminding them who his wife is.
well, I flopped at dieting yesterday. I think I ate more than I normally would.
We have been playing Monopoly at night with the kids. They love doing it and it is fun. Saturday night we all stayed up til 1:00 in the morning playing it.
I am still waiting to hear from the guy about how much rent he will want for the store front. I wished he would call so I would know one way or the other.
Good morning girls. I went for my eye exam yesterday and now my checkbook has a $260 hole in it! I had to order new lenses for my glasses yesterday + the cost of the exam. I wasn't expecting to pay that much plus they didn't take Visa or MC so it came right out of the bank account. ouch! And Michael's birthday is coming up next week...hmmmm, I've got to do some juggling of finances. I think I need a raise! (i would ask my boss for one but I haven't exactly been at work that often
We watched the movie Super Size Me by Morgan Spurlock last night. It was funny and gross at the same time. I think I won't be eating at McDonald's as much anymore and I will have to recondition Michael on those Happy meals.
Cal, glad to hear you're feeling better. I didn't know hubby could sub for you, I bet your classes didn't act up like they might have w/another sub . I was at WalMart the other day and they had the cutest Hawaii snow globes there! They didn't have those at the store nearest to me when I was looking for them otherwise I would've chose those instead. They were a little more pricey but they are way cute.
Angie, I can just imagine you guys sitting around playing that game. That's a great way to have family time, and much better then watching TV or playing video games. So who's the tycoon in the family?

Julie, Southwest airlines is running a special right now. You can fly to a few destinations in Florida for $49.00 one way. It is 49.00 for the flight back also. The nearest airport to you would be Chicago. Maybe you and hubby could drive there and fly down for a weekend getaway. I looked it up for me. I would have to fly from New Hampshire and it was a nonstop flight. I would love to go back so bad. If I didnt have Rebel I would throw the other two in the kennel for the weekend and go.

I am still fighting with my 2 pounds. I will see what the scale has to say in the morning. I am recording it everyday in fitday to see what sort of changes I have on a daily basis. I know that you can fluctuate everday but I am still curious.
Joe is still gung ho too. Just like Rick. I don't have any eye candy at work though. It is all women. I really don't care to look at them in that way.
Angie I hate that the flights are so cheap. We can never find fares that low when we have to fly. I think it is bull honky that they say they lower their rates b/c we never see anything lower that $350 per person. And that is no matter where we fly to. I wonder if it is b/c we have to fly out of New Orleans. Any word yet on the store?
Angie, WOW those are great prices. Chicago is about a three hour drive, I would not mind the drive, as I am thinking back we drove to Chicago and went straight to Jamaica for our honeymoon almost eight years ago. But grumpy old husband said he would not want drive three hours again. Ugh, never any fun for me. Oh well my kids keep me busy enough. And I always have fun with them. Sorry if I am kind of moody. Hey girls, I'm having an OP day so far. I'm relying on quick and easy Lean Cuisines for lunch right now...had the chicken fetuccini (sp?) and added loads of steamed broccoli to round it out. I have to confess though, last night after my BIG tossed salad w/a side of baked salmon, I had some nachos w/chili and cheese. My evil skinny sister was eating them so I had some too. What's the point of the salad huh? I ate more chips than I should have but at least I didn't make the nachos my entire meal. So, uh, just had to get that out of my system.
I'm watching The Manchurian Candidate tonight, probably after the Biggest Loser. I have no clue as to what it's about but Denzel's in it .

Kempy, I'd like to use Fitday but I always end up having to input all the weird local food I eat, then I get lazy. I like the graphs though, even though I'm not exactly overjoyed with the numbers they show. We don't have cheap fares to anywhere out on this rock...although it costs about the same to fly to Vegas than it does to the neighbor island, isn't that nuts?

I say Biggest loser last night and I loved it. I really thought that Kelly would win. They all did great though. I think the editors of the show did a good job keeping you guessing. My mom even watched it b/c of me. She never saw the show b4 last night but she really liked it. I know that it has inspired me to make some changes.
Noelle I found LC's on sale so I grabed a few for our freezer. I usually have to add stuff to them too. Don't kill yourself about the nachos, you can do things right today.
Julie I bet that you guys have a program at the local Chamber of Commerce to promote tourism in the city. Why don't you look into being a tourist in your own town. I want to do that with Joe soon. Maybe sometime in the spring when it is pretty out. I know that there are lots of historical tours of the Quarter and even the Cemetaries. (creepy, huh?) I bet that you can find some alone time for you guys right around the corner from you. You really dont' ahve to stay out of town to have fun. I bet just getting away from the kiddos and reconnecting with each other one night would do you guys some good. I think sometimes it takes getting out of your element to change things. Well, I am off today so I can chat more but I do need to clean the house. I walked the dogs this morning and I am going to do my TaeBo a little later but the house is a wreck right now and Joe will be home this evening from out of town. I don't want him to have to deal with this when he gets home.
