Good Afternoon Girls

Kempy congrats on another loss. Maybe your metabolism is getting back into gear? Whatever it is working. I wish I had your nice weather to walk in. All of you are so darn lucky to have temps above 30 degrees. Right now with the stupid wind chill it is 0 degrees. And we did get our eight to ten inches of snow last night and it is drifting like crazy. Hubby got called into work and there is no way I want to drive in this today. Yup got on the scale and I was surprised too. I am down several pounds from Thanksgiving. All that darn holiday/stress eating .

Hello everyone else and hope you have a great weekend. Well better get off of here so I can let the kids use a computer game. And I should do my cleaning. But I like to do it when dh is home so I can whiz through and get it done in a snap. Well I will just do small amounts here and there .
Hi, Angie, Kempy, Mandy, Cherie, Cal and Summer

Btw Cal glad you are feeling better and you are on meds for it. You are right though, hard to control bp with middle school students . And I think it is a great idea to walk with someone. I have the kids in the summer but they like to stop and look at everything just like Kempy's girls and I can't get a power walk in unless they are in the wagon.

Hey girls, it's the domestic diva here today. I'm scaling mountains of laundry today, and have to wrap some lumpia (filipino egg rolls) for a party my sister's having tomorrow. Other than that I'm all by my lonesome. Michael followed grandma and grandpa to the store so it's nice and peaceful right now. Hmmm, it's official, I'm up 2 lbs from last Saturday...it's probably a true weight though, instead of water weight like that rapid drop before so I'm okay with it. I thought I'd put my weight tracker in increments of first 20 lbs, then maybe goals of losing in 10's...makes it not so daunting to think about how much I actually need/want to lose.

Hey Lola , nice and sunny here today, it was a little chilly for us when I woke up, maybe high 50's or low 60's but right now the sun is shining for ya. on your loss!

Cal, hey nice to hear from you. I think a walking group is a great thing, it'll probably help with the BP too. You know, my trip would ideally be around my anniversary (2/25), but we've got two concurrent projects that are going on around that time. I am shooting for around 3/1, but I just got a flyer regarding a contractor's convention a week or two after that. If we go then, we can write the whole thing off...so, I guess I haven't firmed the date yet, but I am definitely going and soon.

Kempy, maybe your body needed that "fake out" to let go of the weight. I don't understand it either, but anything involving chocolate that still lets you lose weight is a good thing on your loss.

Cherie, hope you're feeling better this weekend.

Angie, how's your weekend going?

Gotta run, dryer's done...haha, that rhymes Be back laTER.

Hello ladies! I am just checking in for a few minutes... I think I am developing a small case of bronchitis. Just what I need. My cough that I've had for the past couple of weeks has gotten worse in the past two days.. and has moved into my chest. Needless to say, I feel like crap. About my shoulder... I just slept on it wrong.. it was still hurting today.. so I had Hannah stand on my back. I felt something pop.. and now, it feels much better.. still a little sore.. but not like it was. Hopefully that was all that was wrong, and this stiffness/pain will go away.

Cal... add me to your msn list... it's my signon name @hotmail.com. (Photogirltx). Maybe that will confuse the autobot spammers!

Noelle.. MSN messenger and Yahoo messenger are free. They are great... I keep mine on all the time. And, you can have chats with more than on person at a time.. so its a nice way to keep in touch with friends and family.

OK.. I am going to go to bed soon.. I'll come back tomorrow and read up on all the posts..

Julie and Angie.. hope you are not getting snowed in too badly.

Talk to you all soon!

Cherie

GOOD MORNING!!!! Well.... I stepped on the scales this morning for the first time in a long time and I hope I have been snapped back to reality. I have gained ALOT of weight!! I am freaking huge now. I dont want to be like this forever. I am going to do something about it starting now!!! I made Jay go for a snowmobile ride(we got some snow last night. ) and I did 30 minutes on my new bike that only Corey has broken in. This is going to be way harder for me than any other time because normally I am baking the basic things but in a month I will be making lots of new pastries that I love on a daily basis. So bear with me when I get depressed. I also dont know how I will fit the exercise in when I will be leaving for work at 5 and getting back here at 3 only to cook donuts until 6-8 at night but I am willing to try. I have to....I dont want to die fat. Have I told you guys how much I love ya lately? You are all the best friends I have ever had......and no I havent been drinking this morning.

I have loaded my fridge with fruits and veggies and skinny cow ice creams. My only pitfall will be that I am baking samples of new recipes and I dont know how to get rid of them without eating them. I hate to throw anything away and I dont want to make the kids eat lots of garbage because I may turn them into me.

I was on ebay and I found an old postcard of Greenville and it was of an old bakery that was up there in the early 1900's so I bid on it and won it and now I am bidding on old things like that. I figured I could make a collage for the front.I am bidding on a train ticket to Mt. Kineo right now from 1883. You should do a search on Mt. Kineo House and read about it. It was so grand, I cant believe they just let it go and now the whole area is empty land for sale for $90,000.00 an acre. Sad.

Well, I should get movin today. Talk to ya later.

Cherie I hope that is all that was wrong with you shoulder. A little pressure. I guess the cold is getting to us in more that emotional ways. I hope you feel better. We are having a cold day today. Our high is 47. They said that tonight could be the coldest ngiht we have had all season. BRRRRR

Angie I knew that you would come back into being OP. It usually takes an Ah-ha moment. At least that is what Oprah says. I think you decorating ideas sound great. We have an old house that was historic to our town and the idiots who run the city let the Church buy it and now it is torn down. I am so surprised that the historical development didn't try to stop that from happening. Is your front a historical landmark? If so you could probably get a grant to fix it up. I know they do that down here sometimes. I really don;t know where you could go to find out if you are able to get any money.

I knew that mother nature would catch up with me. I was able to get rid of the week b4 weight gain but this morning I hit me again. I should be starting soon so I guess I knew it was going to happen eventually. Oh well. Maybe I will satrt b4 I have to do my measurements in the morning.

I am going to go snuggle up on the sofa and try to keep warm. I will check back in later.

Hi Girls

Angie so glad to see you posted. I am glad you are getting back to being OP, I know you have it in you, you are stronger than you think. And we love ya lots too! Remember that!!

Cherie get well soon.

Kempy stay warm and have fun snuggling. All four of us were in our bed this morning trying to stay warm too. It is 4 degrees here right now. Did you get your computer work done?

Noelle have fun at your sister's party today. I love egg rolls. Dipped in sweet and sour sauce. I am glad you got peace and quiet yesterday.

Hi Cal and Summer....sorry so short but I wanted to get some stuff done today now that dh is home. I have chicken baking in the oven for dinner. Just going to try and stay OP even though it is the weekend. I had a sub for lunch with ff turkey and pepper jack cheese and just a smidge of mayo and mustard. Pretty OP. Missed breakfast....okay really got to go now! Check back later. Julie

Kempy one more thing, I was so excited we found Tony's at one of our local grocery stores. Woohoo. Now I don't have to order it over the net. We love it so much and use it on everything from noodles to cottage cheese to mashed potatoes. Thank you so much for that stuff. Dh can't have his bowl of chili and noodles without it now. I saw on their website you can order the sodium free. I wonder how that tastes? Anyway just wanted to tell you that. LOL....Have a great Sunday everyone. I am going to go try my new pledge wipes, anyone try them yet? It doesn't take much to get me excited. What a boring life, huh?

hey girls!! Just checking in for the night. I think I did fairly well today. I exercised for 30 minutes on the bike and I had cereal and skim milk for breakfast. Subway and wow chips for lunch and fat free hotdogs with baked fries and mushrooms for supper. For snack I had 2 skinny cow ice creams(I know I should have stopped at one but they are SO good)

Talk to ya all in the morning.

Good Morning Girls... I am here.. but still not feeling well. My shoulder is fine today.. but my coughing and chest still hurt. I am so sick of being sick.

Angie, you are doing GREAT!!! You guys will be the ones to motivate me now. All I want to do is crawl back into bed and veg.

Kempy and Julie.. I think we have all been suffering from the cold in different degrees. I know I can't stand being cold.. it makes me miserable... so this just wasn't a good weekend for staying warm.

Anyway.. I need to get back to work.. I am not making much sense.. I blame it on the cough medicine I am taking

Have a happy Stinkin' Monday.. as they say on my local radio station.... I am not a Monday person!

Talk to you guys later!

Cherie

Good Morning girls!!! Cherie, take care of yourself girl. I am sending good thoughts your way so you feel better soon.

Did you guys hear that today is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year? I actually feel pretty good today, kinda like I am coming out of my funky mood.

Okay, I know I am supposed to weigh in once a week and log it but I couldnt stand to look at the ticker at the bottom for a week with no loss so I weighed in this morning and lost 3 pounds of bloatation so I logged it for my own sanity.

Noelle, is there an easier way to make changes to that ticker or do I have to redo it every time?

We tracked down a cooler for the bakery so that is one thing done with. I only have a month before I have to start paying rent to the guy who owns the building so I hope I can find the most important equipment. I can take my oven up there but I hate it. I want a new one.

I exercised already so at least that is done. I will check back later.

Good Morning Girls

Cherie I hope you feel better soon.

Angie great job on the loss. Your hard work is paying off. I did not know today was the most depressing day of the year! Good thing I am not feeling to down today!

Noelle how was the party? I hope you had a wonderful time.

Well I am going to get some cardio in today. When I go in for my check up I Want to be ten pounds lighter. Had cereal with skim milk for breakfast and planning on yogurt for lunch and maybe chili for supper with a small serving of cornbread. Check back later. Hi Kempy, Cal and Summer.

Hey girls. I ran out of cereal this morning, so I only ate about 1/3 of a cup. I did have a ff yogurt though, + a multi-vitamin so I should be good to go. This weekend was tough, but I look at it as a cap on a bad week . I decided to skip the party since there would way too much temptation there, and just stayed home and watched movies instead. I'm glad I stayed home because I checked my email right before bed and an old girlfriend had emailed me out of the blue. We were tight for quite a few years during high school, but we lost touch within the past 6 or so years so I was really glad and surprised that she found me. She's living in CA now and I'm waiting for another email or phone call.

Angie, now you've got me doing a google search on why 1/24 is the most depressing day of the year... here's a little of what I've found: "A formula created by a part-time tutor at Cardiff University shows that foul weather, debts, fading Christmas memories, failed resolutions and a lack of motivation all conspire to make people miserable." Of course that's in the UK, and not necessarily in the US but it does make sense. Hey, congrats on those 3 lbs! It does feel good to see the loss on that evil scale. I don't know of an easier way to change the ticker, but if I find one I'll let you know.

Julie, you found Tony's at a local grocer? I think I found some of the products at the Navy commissary too. I have to go and see next time I tag along w/my dad. How did those pledge wipes work out for ya? Just playing w/ya.

Cherie, hang in there. Things can only get better right? Stay warm.

Shoot, gotta run. Mail's here and there's a huge box of something... be back later.
Hello to all!!!
