Default Yikes! Another birthday so soon?????

Marti - Thank you so much for the birthday song and smilies!! I'm glad the people at your new job were friendly. You have the type of personality to fit in nicely. Bet you'll be happy to get orientation out of the way.

Mindee - thanks for the birthday wishes!

My sisters came early for coffee (no doughnuts this year!) and we had a good time talking and laughing about the old days. Mary and her family and DS and his family will be here for dinner and we'll all have a good time, I know. Neal and I are going to town in just a little bit, but I wanted to check in here, first.

I lost another 1 1/4 pounds this week, and am closing in fast on 70.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend! TTFN,

Smile Happy Saturday Ladies~

First off ditto what Marti said (BD song). Jana and Angie, hope you ladies have a GREAT day!

Wishing you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jana & Angie!

So what do you ladies have planned for your special day? Details, we want details!

Mindee~OMG! I would have died! I am not allergic to bees/wasps but DO NOT like them at all. I just found a next yesterday under our deck filled with wasps. Now I need to get DH or DS to get out there and get rid of them. We are having a bad problem with grasshoppers this year, and they are having a field day eating the leaves on the trees and shrubs. Like you , I too need some motivation. I am going to reread Dr. Phil and see if that helps. I do good for a while and then slack off and get in a slump-not good if I want to get this weight off. About in-laws-I can't say if I like them or not as I never really had the opportunity to get to know them. I went to a couple of gatherings and they were snotty, or some of them and then some things happened and the rest is history. Not really sure what happened but they really didn't like the fact that DH married someone with kids I guess. He has a busy body Aunt that has her nose in everyone's business and my business is my business and she didn't like that. Apparently everyone does what the woman says. I really don't want to get started with that because it is the dumbest stuff in the world-the reason they don't talk to us. But to give you an example: his cousin came over to our house one day and visited which was fine. But month's later her story is she thought it was odd that we didn't invite her to sit down. Ummm, okay. First we didn't even invite her over and didn't have a problem with her just dropping by so didn't really think that we needed to invite her to sit down. Figured if she wanted to sit down she would, her kids did. But it is stupid stuff like that they they are mad about. Of course it probably didn't help that I told them they are acting like a bunch of kids and need to grow up. Sorry, but I just thought that was the dumbest thing ever. DH took up for us and they are mad at him so it is their loss not ours which is sad because it is actually our loss also. The loss of being a part of a big family.

Jana~what was funny was the doc was giving son a sermon if you will about his boss and what he is doing is illegal. He also told him that regardless of what the boss thinks says or does, KS law states if you get a paycheck from this guy the guy is liable. "I can't see me lovin' no body but you for all my life, when you're with me baby the skies will be blue for all my life..."am I thinking of the right song? If so I love that song. I was wondering when to put the fall stuff out. DD thought I was nuts when I asked when is the official first day of fall. For some reason I was thinking it was too early but brought in the summer flag and wreath. I used to do the inside but don't anymore. Just change the flag and wreath to the different seasons. Do you decorate both inside and out? Of course for Christmas I do.

Marti~orientation sounded very hectic, or maybe it was just the parking?! I think that is the worst part of any job, trying to find parking. Sometimes it is better to be dropped off and picked up. I worked at Timex years ago and did that. Otherwise I had to get to work 30mns. sooner just to walk from the back parking lot to where I had to go to work, it was like a maze once you got inside. But only because they were doing construction. Now if I had wanted a close parking I could have gotten there a hour earlier and just sat in the car but who wanted to do that? Not me! LOL Anyway, if will be fine once you get used to it I am sure.

Laura~I too was thinking how cool it would be to be in a band. It must be a lot of fun, although hard work. DH#1 was in a band years ago, played the guitar. Never made if big, just played gigs at bars, clubs and such.

Miss Susan~what's up with you girly? How are the kids liking school? They did start last week right? I can't keep up sometimes.

Hi to everyone else!

Not much on the agenda this weekend. I am definitely going to try and get some scrapbooking done. Went and washed my car this morning even though it is cloudy. Didn't see anything about rain in the forecast. Doesn't matter though as I park in the garage anyway so...have a little bit of ironin gto get done also, only about 5 shirts. I try not to buy or wear a lot of stuff that needs ironing because I absolutely hate doing it, just doesn't work though. Other than that nothing much going on. The fair started yesterday and think V and I are going to go next week sometime. Not sure what day. Didn't really want to go because of these allergies but then read that they changed a lot of things and it is supposed to be better so we will see. Hope everyone has a GREAT day and weekend. TTFN

Edited: Jana, guess you were posting as I was writing this book. CONGRAT'S on the loss! And enjoy your special day!

Good morning ladies--

Did the WI this morning and it's down a pound!

First off...once again Happy Birthday Jana & Angie!

Hope you to are getting spoiled!!

"Imagine you and me, and me and you...no matter how you toss the dice, it had to be...the only one for me is you, and you for me.....so Happy Together"

Are those the correct lyrics to that song????

Jana--I have to say about Orientation that the girls were all friendly. We had to learn to use thier phone system and since I'll be using the phone the most the woman training (we had many different people training us) told me to pick up the phone and page her. So I did....she said I did a great job and I looked at everyone and said excitedly "Did you all hear me out in the hall???" I didn't realize that I was actually paging her for real! I was myself and I believe they all realized that I have a sense of humor...but a playful kind.

Cristi--Now...why did I think you lived in AR?? You live in KS right? Silly me...how's the weather there? Parking....oh my....let me see...for one the little parking lot they have for the building is for the Carriers and customers and maybe 10 spots available....inside is another small area but it's metered and you can park for 2hrs. The rest of the parking is across the street in some lot, down a few blocks in another lot....it's awful! At least w/Sony's building.....there is a huge parking lot! I don't mind walking to get to work....it's leaving at 2:30 in the morning to get to my car that has me feeling ill......but I guess they have security who will escort you to you car if needed.

Laura--Do you sing in the band?? How fun. Shanna's man used to be in aband....although I didn't know him back in the day.....but I always thought it would be fun. Not like I can see OR play an instrument! Right now I have a friend who plays the bass and plays gigs.....not sure what music they play but he's always busy!

Mindee--Windsor Pilates.....well I haven't tried that at all...but the two that I have...I would think that it should be ok for you...but then I'm not sure how flexible your one leg would be.....do you know of anyone who has a tape you can borrow? Or maybe rent one at the video store...to check it out?

Angie--Hope you're getting pampered and are not hiding in the bushes watching someone, not dressing someone up for a play, not yelling at the coaches at your sons practices, not serving beer on YOUR day......just plain relaxing!! Happy Birthday!

Ok...I hope I didn't miss anyone....this was to be short but I got carried away and now I hear my name being called. Did you all know my name was Momma??

Talk to you later

If I should call you up invest a dime
and you say you belong to me
and ease my mind
imagine how the world could be
so very fine
so happy together

{refrain} I can't see me loving nobody but you for all my life when you're with me baby the skies will be blue for all my life
me and you
and you and me
no matter ...that's the song I was thinking of marti-just went straight to the refrain because that is always what comes up first in my mind. lol love that song

congrats on your loss and i hope you will be very happy at your job you sound so very excited and busy

just dropping by for a few minutes to see whats going on with everyone before i get off the puter

take care all toodles

Hiya - Neal is in the shower, so I only have a minute......

Cristi - thank you for the e-card! It was really sweet, and I look forward to the snail mail one you sent. Yes, it is a little early to put out the Fall decorations, but I knew I'd be getting a lot of company today and wanted things to look nice. I'm sure I'll get very tired of it all before it's time to put the Christmas things up, lol. All I do for Fall outside is put a garland of leaves around the front door. It draws hummingbirds...

Marti - YAY for you and the 1 pound down!!! I suspect you will lose easier once you begin working, don't you think so? Yep, you and Cristi have the right song! The lyrics are sweet. About your parking situation, I hope you will be sure and ask the security guards to walk you to your car. All the JLs would rest easier knowing that you are safe.

Susan - thank you for the birthday wishes! I sure do miss hearing about our little Gabster!

Katy - how're you doing with the PDA?

I've had the most wonderful day, and stayed OP! Neal and Katie did a good job with the dinner. And tomorrow is our wedding anniversary, so that's something else to look forward to. I think we're going to Evansville to eat and to stop in at a bookstore, but I'm not sure yet.

Have a blessed Sunday....

Evening ladies~

Jana~glad you had a nice birthday and stayed OP! And I hope you and Neal have a wonderful anniversary tomorrow. Oh, I don't think it is too early for fall stuff. I was debating because I was just going to decorate for fall and not halloween and then thanksgiving but now I am having a change of heart. Since I know we will have kids this Halloween.

Well, hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. No special plans for me tomorrow. Going to go to mass and that's about it I think. Not real sure. But since I won't be on the computer tomorrow I will send wishes now.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY JANA & NEAL!!!

Happy Birthday Jana and Angie

Happy Anniversary, Jana and Neal !

Hey, I'm not the only one who got married the day after her birthday! (my combo is june 15/16)

Jana - the PDA is saving my life! I already stopped myself from over booking on two occasions 'cause I had that little sucker....I used be kind of snotty about those things as I prided myself on having a laidback, no stress kind of life. No cell, no pda.... life was good. Within the last year,it has all changed. I blame those pesky children, lol! you know the ones I worship and adore and chauffer hither and yon?

Marti- hope you got to celebrate your first day a little...like I mentioned in chat the other night, this sounds like a job that could be pretty interesting - not your average cube farm gig. You've had some pretty interesting work over the years, so now you are starting a new chapter.

Hello to Cristi, Susan, Laura, Jen, Julie, Mindee, Shanna.. and anyone else I may miss. Congrats to Jana and Marti for their losses,
I was doing well this week, but have strayed off plan in the last day or two due to TOM and my DH's birthday. His birthday is today, but we had a celebration at my inlaws last night and i indulged. So for now, the scale is holding steady, but official WI is tomorrow, maybe I can rustle up some will power today. We are having his birthday dinner at a great Mexican restaurant, so I am going to have to have a game plan going in, maybe tamales? Do you think their Core, Jana? I may have to stick to a tostada minus the chips. Ugh - I have been craving sugar like crazy this week.

Will try to check back in to chat with more individuals later
Katy

Default Good morning ladies!

Marti~guess you were getting me mixed up with Kayecee??? Or maybe because I talk about AR often. The weather here has been great. Yesterday was real nice. I had the air set on 75 and it didn't come on much at all. It's not coming on much at all at night which is good. I love the cool fall weather. Although, it is supposed to warm up and be in the low 90's this week which it always does when the fair comes to town. I think we are going to pass on it this year. I do remember having the allergies last year also and it being hot and just not sure I want to do it this year. Glad orientation went well and everyone was nice. And yes, I do hope you have security walk with you to your car, that would be a little creepy for me especially if people weren't around.

Okay, didn't think I would be getting on the computer this morning. Didn't have anything to do while waiting for V to get home from work. At least today he is only working till 1:30. Didn't make it to mass. Just didn't feel like going with these darn allergies. I thought it was getting better but woke up gagging from my sinuses draining-gross! And my eyes are just so raw from rubbing them and watering like crazy. Oh well, life goes on...Anyway, headed out to Home Depot later to get some bark that we forgot to get when we bought the trees. Also, some wasp spray to get rid of that nasty nest under the deck. I told V when he gets ready to do that I will be no where around. I have hated wasps and bees since bing little and my sister threw a brick in some honeysuckle-ummm, I told her not to do it,we all did. She didn't listen and was stung from her head to her feet. I kid you not. My grandma fixed up her remedy and put it on her-she looked funny-was spotted all over. Not to mention the many times I have been stung. Ah, heck who am I kidding I DON'T like any kind of insects. Anyhoo...take care ladies and have a wonderful Sunday!

Morning again....actually it's almost noon!

Ok time for some individuals......

Cristi--You know...I have that song stuck in my head! But it's a song I don't mind having in my head for awhile! My family on the other hand....they may kick me out for whistling and humming it all day! You know, James & I took Jhanai up to Eugene yesterday and we drove by some of the area's we are able to park.....some are blocks away! I hate knowing I have to spend money to park for work! Frustrating...but the good news is....I do work the evening shift, and so the parking meters (some which are right in front of the building) are free after 6pm. So HOPEFULLY...I can get one of those!! I can't wait to see your yard when it's all finished. Maybe you can send your family to my home next Spring to do my yard!! That would be great......I'll even try to pitch in myself! Ok.....since that can't happen, I will see what I can do myself this Spring. I will have to check into those Roses you talked about.

Jana--OML has their own little gym! That was pretty cool to hear. I believe it's only $98 a year to join....so I may just do that, and I even asked if they plan on keeping the Sony gym for when they move---and they are. So I'm really hoping that losing will be easier once I get moving and working again. Which brings a smile to my face! but it IS MY OWN FAULT for letting myself go after Sony closed. I could have done anything to keep myself moving and to maitain the weight I had already lost. Makes me wonder why I do that.

Katy--You are so right about the variety of jobs I've had.....lets see...Croissant factory (boy did that smell ever so good!!! And that was when I was my thinnest working there....110lbs.of coarse I was only 18 when I started....) worked there for 4yrs off and on. Then it was at a Casino for a few months (that was EXCITING! and I was always escorted back to my place of work which was a hamburger joint because I was under age ) I worked at the college library for a year( a work study job) and then Foster Farms for 3yrs....( smelly but very interesting all the same) then Sony (clean, easy and lots of days off) worked there for 3 1/2 yrs...and now this. Working with human stuff. Ought to be interesting.

Now that you know my work history....do you have a job you want to offer me??

Susan--I sure hope you get Gaby back soon to cuddle up with and to chat toddler chat. I'm sorry you're feeling down.....I hope things start to getting better for you. Sending you lots of hugs!! ((((((HUGS)))))) Congratulations on being 142!! I hope to see that soon.

Shanna--Ok....I haven't seen you post yet this weekend, but wanted to tell ya to get ahold of me next weekend for the some crafting.....Holidays are almost here and it would be fun to have someone to do some of the gift making this year.

Hello to everyone else!

Ok.....I'm off to tackle what I call my hair. This morning I looked like Medusa!! And if I want a hug or kiss without the look of horror on either James or Jhanai's face...then I better get to it.

Take Care and I'll check in later

Gaby should be home in 52 minutes, not that I am counting.........

*sigh*

I feel horrible - Marti- maybe it is my diet? Maybe I am burning out? maybe , maybe, maybe..........who knows.

Something is wrong though- I deal better with Monday thru Friday when I stay busy........weekends are torture..........
