Hi Susan & RosieKate! Guess you ladies were posting as I was writing that novel!

Susan~I wish I lived near, I would have taken Benji and then you guys could have visited anytime you wanted. Meant to ask how things were going with the cable guy-maybe he will ask you out soon. Gaby will probably have that blanket for years to come. DD still has a blanket/quilt that her Aunt (her dads sister-ex SIL) made her when she was about a year old. She carried that thing around with her all the time and still has it. Doesn't carry it around anymore of course. LOL

Okay, ladies I am outta here for real this time. Take care and nighty night-again!

Cristi-

Take the money!! They appreciate your kindness, and you can put it in a "clothes to buy when I get to goal fund". imo- or you can send it to me....lol

argh-

Cable Guy is a doll. *roll eyes*........i know, I know....I am not a very good judge of men but he is so funny. He doesn't seem to have any hidden ex girlfriends -
I am not sure if I want to meet him though. I don't know what he looks like and he is suppose to send a photo. I met Les Is No More without a photo and it was so stressful, I am not putting myself through that again. This time around I am going to play hard to get *sigh* - feeling FAT tonight!!!

Better go........btw I bought a 12 pounder last night and ate it all..........

Just popping in for a brief post from IN where the weather is just flat out beautiful these days. It sure isn't as hot as past Augs. have been.
I did some housework today, used my Webster on the cathedral ceilings and fans, dusted and swept floors. I made baked steak for dinner and then walked my 2 miles before cleaning up the kitchen. Tomorrow I go back to the Dr. and will have my paps while I am there...is anything any more yucky? Gotta get my paper to have my mammogram also. Double whammy! Then meeting my CA daughter for lunch as she goes home Fri.
Hope you all have a good hump day.......

Hi ladies--

I'm going to attempt to do quick replies!!

Cristi--My suggestion for the money if you really don't want it is to buy some stuff for the animal shelter and donate it. They are always asking for blankets or beds or even food. Or splurge on little Ernie!!!

Angie--You're right...attitude is everything. Let me borrow yours for tomorrows interview ok??

Shanna--Thank you for having such confidence in me! I will try not to talk too fast......my biggest problem when I'm nervous.

Jana--Snacks are pretty good.....but I wouldn't want to keep them around all the time...I'm likely to finish the whole darn box!!

Jen--Maybe we ought to start the TOM Club?? Just kidding....if we did, there would be no members..we'd all be curled up in fetal positions being mad at each other!

Julie--I will PM you my e-mail and home address....add you to my card exchange!! (That goes for any of you girls who I haven't swapped with yet and would like to)

Mindee--I hope the baptism turns out beautifully. I went to my nieces....she was very fussy but it still turned out sweet!

Susan--I remember when Jhanai had her blanket......does Gaby have a special "corner" that she tends to hang onto more?? Jhanai had one corner that I was constantly sewing up for her......wonder if I still have the blanket...Hope so.

Hello to anyone I may have missed!!! I hope I don't have more outages later....but it's doing exactly what Cristi mentioned....split second..enough to mess things up.

Ok girls..I better get off before I lose this. Take care

Sue- wonderful on the 2 miles walked!! I haven't walked in a long time, need to get off my butt. Going on a field trip tomorrow with the boss for lobby furniture...lol.......that should be exercise enough.......btw- the boss is 29, he is a baby. I feel so old, he is super though.

Marti- she wraps the whole thing over her head like a nun. She lays on it and watches wiggles. She just discovered it really....was trying to keep it nice but now I can't hide it from her......lol

Susan, let her wear that blanket out and when its almost a rag send it back to me so I can make something out of it. By then she would be old enough for a pillow...will soft fleece on one side or something like that...lol
I used to sew alot and when the boys were small, and money tight I would find really cool material and buy as much as I could afford,,then cheaper broadcloth and make a valance and squared quilt and then paint on the wall something from the cool material. And as they outgrew that style I would buy different material and sew over top the old quilt. I have a VERY heavy quilt that Brandon had on his bed in my van for sitting on when watching football.
Marti, if you feel tingly tomorrow right before walking in to your interview its me sending you my tude...(attitude)
Cristi, go for lunch with the money, then go buy a cool doggy tag for Aries, with all the info on it.
Im cranky right now,,,getting TOM right away...I hate being this way.
OH ya Marti, should of remembered this awhile ago...go to the health food store and buy some raspberry tea LEAVES. ITs gross to taste but helps with cramps big time. And if there are any JL who use this, please DON'T if you are just pregnant. Due date sure,,,if will help with the contractions.
When my cramps were bad I drank this all the time and it helped...
Tanners worried hes going to be cut from the team,,,I feel bad for him. And ticked cause I dished out 80 bucks for cleats....grrrr
Well Im off to bed night

Smile Happy Hump Day

Good morning ladies~

Thought I would get up and post early. Had another bad storm move in and wake me up and instead of laying in bed just thought I would get up and get an early start. Have to be at PT by 9:30 anyway, and already have the dishes done, a load of laundry and the sheets changed on the bed. I love when it is cloudy and cool like this.

Thanks ladies for the suggestions about the money. The card they put it in made it all the worse. They are so thankful as I would be. Angie & Marti I especially liked those and had thought of those. Never had the chance to ask how Aries got out but if she is an outside dog which I suspect she is, she definitely needs a tag and collar. But then I thought maybe they are like us and have the tag with info but just don't put it on their dog. I know...

Marti~sending good vibes for your interview today. : Remember to breath...and you will be fine. I get so nervous with them I don't like myself. I giggle when I get nervous.

Sue~hope you have a wonderful time with DD. And everything goes well at the docs. WTG on getting a 2-mile walk in.

Angie~sending some good vibes for Tanner. : Hope you are feeling less cranky today.

Susan~okay, you talked me into it! I am going to get a waddermelon today! Can't believe you ate the whole thing! A 12 pounder! I would be so stuffed but at the same time I love watermelon,a nd I need to be stuffin' my ole fat face with more fruits and veggies.

Well ladies I best get going. Need to jump in the shower in a few mintues. Going to PT, then the bookstore to get a magazine for DD. She can't find it anywhere but there and we will be near. Think I will forgo my weekly wally world trip. I want to make a list before going and make sure I get everything I need to stay OP. I will BBL.

Hi to eveyrone else.

Have a GREAT day ladies!

Good morning ladies,

Julie - hope you did good again last night with the snacking before bed. I go to bed hungry every night, so I feel your pain! Also hope you get your car fixed today. Mine needs washed something awful.

Marti - don'tcha just hate power blips? Messes everything up! Good luck with the interview this afternoon, and try to keep your blouse buttoned!

Cristi - I say keep the money and buy scrapbooking stuff with it. It makes them feel better to give it to you, so you are doing them a favor by taking it. Trading Spouses? That sounds funny... I'll look for it. Just hope Neal doesn't get any ideas and trade me in for two 25 year olds, lol.

Jen - nope, no problems with the avatar file. But like RosieKate, I also have Norton and it catches bad stuff. Btw, I had to make my avatar 80x80 for it to fit.

Susan - OIC = oh, I see. Wow, I'd like to go with you and the boss to pick out office furniture! I love shopping for any furniture! The Cable Guy probably wants a pic of you, too. He'll breathe a sigh of relief when he sees it, and thank his lucky stars.

Angie - omg, are you ready to kill me? So sorry about the thread! But you can start a whole new one and name it "Brandons and Other Big Boys" or something. Or, if you want me to do it, just holler. Awww, I hope they don't cut Tanner from the team! Makes me want to give him a hug just thinking about it!

Sue - yes, I'm loving this Indiana weather! Gives me renewed energy!

RosieKate - are you getting everything ready for the trip? I'll be thinking of you and your effort to keep the peace. Hope the xw/new wife appreciates you more for it!

Hello to the others.

Didn't make it to the fabric store yet, but I'm going to try and get there today. I really want to make a vest for some reason, for fall and winter. Have to get my kitchen floor mopped.... oh joy!

BBL,

Morning ladies--

I'm in the process of getting ready and printing out my resume, questions I want to ask and references....think I can put Jaded Ladies as one of my references???

I hate this feeling of nervousness that comes and goes. I feel all confident and ready to go then WHAM....nerves takes over!! But....must think positive and I will be ready for this!! (I'm really crying over here!!)

Angie--I hope I get that tingly feeling later on....I think I may need it. When I get nervous I tend to talk too fast, rock in my seat and sometimes have the urge to giggle. So if anything...send me vibes of calmness!!

Cristi--Why is it that we feel we need to giggle when we're nervous?? Aren't emotions the strangest thing??? Thank you for the good vibes!

Jana--I'm not wearing any top that has buttons...so I should be ok there!! That would just be awful!! They'd have to say "Sorry...but the job your looking for is across town"

Susan--Was talking to James last night...he a bunch of guys were all lounging in front of the pool......(very hard at work) I asked if there were any single men there in there early 40's.......He wasn't sure of some of the ages....but he said there is one man who looks about 30 and when he asked his age he said 44. Now....that's keeping yourself looking good. So head on over to the Residence in and hang out at the pool!!

Morning to the rest of the Jaded Gals...

I need to finish getting ready!!

Take Care

lol

I am not going to hang out at a pool. I like my CG.........he has a cute personality. We have the same sense of humor and I have prayed about him for 2 weeks and I get good vibes.......lol

Geesh- what a flake I am.......lol

Good Luck on your interview!!

Hope you have a nice lunch with your daughter - Sue.........

Have a pleasant trip to the fabric store Jana!!!!

lol

You can put JL's down on your resume but don't call them Jaded Ladies.....I think they would wonder about that........you can put me down. Need to stay in state.......

Hi all -
Marti - good luck on your interview. I can sure sympathize about pre-interview jitters. When I was trying to get teaching jobs I would always be interviewed by a team and when I get nervous I babble...not a very good impression. I read a book called Sweaty Palms that helped me alot. 'course I haven't really needed it for the last 8 years, so if you're interested pm me and I'll send it to you.

Susan - thought of you in Freddie's today. they had "personal" watermelons. They were small ones - maybe football sized. cracked me up. bet they were twice as much per pound. Cable guy needs a name...I keep picturing Jim Carrey and that demented guy he played in the movie - Yuck! Hope your meeting goes well

Cristi - did you look over at Dotties' WW at home thread for the OP challenge? I started on monday and so far I'm keeping to the 75% or better goal. I need to get more protein-rich foods in and the dairy is hit or miss, but i am trying to be better at that.

Hi to everyone esle. I start packing today...we need to get out all the camping gear and check it out - haven't used some of it in awhile..gotta make sure the tent doesn't have any holes. I still have this yucky knot in my gut about seeing the folks, but that is only a day or two out of a week long trip...Just going to focus on enjoying my family and the beach...

RK

I have seen those cute personal watermelons too. I think they are like 4.99 but waaaaay too small.

mmmmm, if I get a CS check I can do some swift footwork and get me one while on break....

Cable Guy is Michael. I didn't want to name him that- kind of tooooooooo close to Mike but CG always goes by Michael, and he has an Italian last name.

He is out whaddering his lawn at the moment. lol

k- lunch time!!! soooooooooo hungry!!!

ps, camping sounds like fun!
